The Original 12

As I said, they really dropped the ball with this whole past generations arc.

There was so much potential to really run with it,but I really don't know what they were trying to do.

We STILL have no idea what the heck the 12 did back in the day, nothing specific at least.

Victoria Pratt is dead now, so you can update that list to deceased for her.

i love the show. i loved it even more in season 1.

but for a volume based on generations, how can we only know the abilities of 3 (linderman, bob, papa maury) of the original 12. or am i missing someone?

I think the generations tittle comes from the various time travel sub - plots and with a bit of luck there will be more info on the original 12 which i thought was 1 of the most interesting things this year IMO

since, we’ve seen young, Victoria and Kaito
I was thinking, just for fun, how about some casting ideas on the 12's young counterparts
(i know this is a lil OFT, but, didn't want to start to new thread for it)

here are some thought i had

Angela- Olivia Wilde (mid 20s)- Constance Zimmer(mid 30s-40s)

Linderman - Kevin Corrigan (mid 30s) Craig Sheffer (mid-late 40s)

Bob - Lee Norris (mid-20s)- Rainn Wilson (late 30s-40s) LOL

thats all i got some far
(these are just random castings, as i said, just for fun, these are not predictions, or real suggestions)

anyone else have any ideas?

Corrigan and Sheffer don't seem to have the old fashioned class of Malcolm MacDowell

Not bad on the other two though.

Amen to that. Still, it seems like the dialogue has implied that Kaito's power may have also been time travel. Charles Deveaux seems to be responsible for Peter leeching the prophetic dreams, and it seems pretty damn clear to me that Angela can alter people's thoughts and/or emotions by touching them. Granted, none of this has been spelled out, but it can be inferred by the character's actions and dialogue.

I was thinking Marc Warren would make a good young Linderman

And I can see Nate Torrence as either Maury Parkman or Bob Bishop

Except that Kaito flat-out said that he'd never time traveled before when Hiro took him around a couple eps ago.

oooo an original 12 sub season would be ****ing excellent with guest appearances from hiro and also peter....

oh yeah i just read in the radio times heroes origins hasnt been shelved just postponed until after the writers strike has been dealt with

since we're on the topic of younger counter parts... what about a younger adam since we don't when he was born... how would something like that go on if like Hiro were to go back and stop him discovering his powers

I'm assuming you all don't have issues with the young Kaito from episode 10 ;)

he kind of looked like he was 40 and 30 years is a long time so that meant that Kaito had to be like 70-something and my g-pa's that old and can't even walk or hear... u get the point.. he's old, younger version needs to look somewhat younger-ish

If Victoria Pratt left the Company in '77, why did she came back for a group shot with the original 12 years later? Doesn't make sense.

Woah. Good point. Heh, yet another plot hole, I suppose.

Maybe it was a reunion dinner. They probably sat around telling old stories and NOT using their powers.

Well, she only said that she "(wouldn't) be a part of this", but we cant assume to know what happened in the 30-odd years between then and now. For example, she could have gone back if she decided that she needed to control that virus if they wouldn't let her destroy it. They really need to start showing the 12's powers, though. Their seriously overdoing it with the "no-show", figure it out bit by bit(but wait five episodes to get a clue to a piece of a bit) crap.
