The positive things that could come out of a Trump presidency

the only way one could see those videos and Ms Sarkeesians viewpoints as "extreme" is if you genuinely believe that nothing is wrong with video games and diversity isn't a problem
throughout the industry

you may not like them (and many don't) but that doesn't make them "extreme"
She goes to the point of arguing about Lara Croft, for crying out loud.

no its making the point that game makers are fine with trotting out the same story over and over as long as its successful

its the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality but its creatively bankrupt

also notice that as games have evolved, say in the past decade, that trope has really faded off?

I mean, I can't remember the last game I played where I had to "save someone"

I never said radical feminism is one the worst problems in the world, i was just replying to positive things i can see coming out of Trump's draconian mentality.

Once again i state that, i'm talking about radicalism and not feminism as an all.

Yes, well considering I am hoping Trump doesn't destroy economy or the environment in irreversible ways, I don’t think anything you mentioned is a good thing, I think that it is trivial distraction to real problems.

I think left wingers need to gef out their bubble (I think trigger warnings and safe spaces are trivial compared to the major issues facing the world) and tackle real issues head on. This why I am old school left winger, I believe in dealing with the real important problems with pratical solutions. Its why I think Bernie sanders was the best poltical figure in US politics, he was an old school left winger who cared about the real issues.

Though I think a lot feminists have some valid complaints after Mr. Grab Em was elected President.

But trotting out the same story or the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality, is, like you said about creativity, not about feminism.

Then there is problem where games where you control a woman sell less than controlling a man, the only game that doesn't fall on that is Tomb Raider.
It's stupid, but that's a mentality problem and not a feminism one.

She even goes to the point of arguing about Lara Croft, Bayonetta or Samus Aran, calling they act like man on a women skin (or something of the sort), or like i read somewhere "fighting fu**toys".
She even argues about Miss Pacman for wearing a bow on her head.

But Annita is just one, i´m sure there are several more feminists that scream "sexualized or objectified" everywhere they turn.

you could make that case about Bayonetta definitely

severe fetish with the game designers there

who wears gun shoes??

but like I said, if those videos bother you and you consider them "extreme", you probably have a bigger problem with women, in general and thats a convo for another time

He makes white nationalism and neofascism look so bad that Americans never make this mistake again.

You are reading waaaaaaayyyy too much on my posts and creating your own reality, with the all "you probably have a bigger problem with women".
I have no problem with women, never had.
And the videos don't bother me, i just gave you them as an example of radical feminism.
Want more? Google them up, you will find plenty.

But to finish this all, if Bayonetta was a man, no one would even care.
Take Gears of War, which is the most stereotypical portrait of the macho male....no one cares, no man has bi***ed about it.

because Gears is more nuanced than people realize

yes it is total bro out time, but no one is a trophy or demeaned, Anya and Sam are treated as equals in the later games, Yes Dom is looking for his wife, but she's not presented as a "prize" to be won

that's why no one has b***ed about it

About Bayonetta....

You have her male counterpart...Dante, from Devil May Cry.

Sure, he doesn't fall into the all leather fetish (even if he wears a leather jacket), but he is always barechested, and you can even make a phallic connection with the sword.
There are even asinine (or not) theories about his sexual orientation.

Once again, no one ever cared.

So, as you see, there is a logic to Bayonetta, she is the female Dante.

I thought Dante (old school) was cool. New one's an emo kid lol.

Bayonetta is in my opinion bad example of objectifying women. Yes, she is extremely sexy, but it is clear that she chooses to be like that. She has the power.

Um...topic of this thread? Bayonetta?

Chump's been president elect all of five minutes and all ready flipping flopping or walking back his promises.

He's not going to get rid of obamacare which will now become trumpcare

He's not ripping up the iran deal

he's not building a wall tho he will build more prisons as incarceration for illegals is "more efficient" (a WIN for the private prison industrial complex!..buy stock in private prisons its the wave of the future)

I said it before... Congress controls the purse and who controls congress?? THE ESTABLISHMENT...trumps going to get the rude awakening that Obama supporters got in 2009..that the president doesn't have that much leverage or control especially in domestic matters. This is why the DOW shot back up because they know trumps NOT going to start a trade war nor is he going to drain the swamp as he's the lizard king.

So I don't get the calculation of the rustbelt voters...they want someone who is supposed to be a middle finger to the system (understandable) so they install a born on third base plutocrat who IS the establishment. And what exactly is supposed to happen here? For ALL of hillary's faults (and she has many) trump has JUST AS MANY. In fact in a number of ways he's WORSE because he is a captain of industry who himself shipped jobs overseas and has history of NOT paying his contractors and bankruptcies.

I don't see how this person blows up the system or makes significant change. He's just an old white man in a long list of old white men who have led this country so how does that make a america great again??

It's the same thing that happened to the Tea Party. They came in thinking they were going bring in true Conservatism(whatever that means) but once their inexperience showed, it just became obstructionism. As long as nothing happens, it can't get worse right?

Obama just side stepped with executive orders so now they've replaced him.

But I'm not sure Trump's ego can handle losing or not doing anything.

He makes white nationalism and neofascism look so bad that Americans never make this mistake again.

This is more or less how I feel. If any of his voters were in denial about him being a bigot(excluding those who voted for him BECAUSE he's a bigot), I hope the next four years bring them out of that denial.

I'm not sure Trump even WANTS to do anything, judging from his demeanor the past few days. He looks like a guy who lied on his resume, and realized he's in over his head when he actually got the job. Either that or he never wanted to win anyways and has that look that his bluff got called, and how stupid Americans need to be to actually vote him in. It's all quite comical.

I don't think they have to wait 4 years now that Bannon is on board. In fact, I think his supporters are either going to be in denial and say it's not that bad, or they're the bigots in his base and actually support his "hires". Either way, they're not gonna fight it, even though it's against their own interests. Like everyone else, their ego is on the line, so they can't admit they made a mistake. I can already see all the rationalization my Facebook feed about him staffing his cabinet so far with establishment republicans and corporate lobbyists and millionaires, and a bit of nepotism with his sons in tow. It's really up to the losers (Clinton supporters), and the hard democrats like Warren and Sanders to fight anything at this point. I was neutral, bordering on disapproving of the protests earlier in the weekend, since it's causing more destruction and in the end probably won't accomplish much. But hearing news of Bannon coming on board, bring on the riots baby!

You do realize he can't hire his sons in his cabinet due to nepotism laws? Plus, he needs them and Ivanka to run the family business.

Not as cabinet members, but there were plenty of other places they could have been set up in.....but as they said on 60 minutes, they will just be helping appoint the 4,000 government positions that need appointing in the next 9 weeks, and then back to the bizness...

Hmmmmmmm......

Maybe Ivanka Trump will run for president in a few years like George W Bush did after his father.

That's so possible it's not funny. I can see Donald going "Hillary ran, so can you."

"Everybody gets to be president in the Trump family!"

I have no doubt that he would much rather have lost, and therefor get the opportunity to play the "RIGGED!" card, make himself into a martyr, and spent the next 4 years sowing discontent and *****ing about Hillary on Fox News anytime he pleased.

There's that picture they have of the election night where everyone is cheering and he's sitting there with a look on his face like he's thinking, "****".
