I'm really liking the sound of that. I enjoyed Revelations, but there definitely was room for improvement on several levels.

Then you might like what was just put up.

Turn Everyone Into A Zombie And Snag Some Free Resident Evil HD Remastered Stuff. September 4, 2014 . 4:28pm

Capcom have unveiled a website for players to get “infected” with the T-Virus.

Capcom have unveiled a website for players to get “infected” with the T-Virus. This is a promotional campaign that tie ins with the upcoming Resident Evil HD Remaster.

Why would you want to turn yourself into part of the undead horde? Once infection levels reach critical levels and the undead overrun Racoon City (… again), the website will unlock free content within the upcoming game. What that content is is a “surprise”.

You can register here using email, Facebook or a Capcom account. You can also track the spread of the T-Virus in the map.

Resident Evil HD Remaster will be out on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, XBox 360 and XBox One.

Well, that's weird. First I've ever heard of DLC content for a remaster. Eh, probably just skins or something. RE5 Chris, Jill, and Wesker or something.

This looks pretty awesome. :D Hopefully we get the good old RE feelings back or at the least RE4.

Signed up for the website and I'm a crawler zombie infected at the stadium. :D Just my little part in mass murder, cannibalism and terrorizing a city.

Maybe they'll let ya use the skins without having to complete the objectives required for them in the original game?

The Last of Us has a lot of DLC and is continuing to get some. Ditto on DCUO

DCUO is an ongoing MMO so I would expect it would continue to get support even if it launched on other platforms. The Last of Us is kind of different, too, since it's so new; one could argue it's more of a late port than anything. Is the DLC exclusive to the PS4 version?

This is the first time I can think for a older title getting remastered, specifically from the 6th gen( I think) that is getting some type of DLC.

With TLOU it is for the ps4 only. people want more with remasters. so they are receiving that . Even Type 0 with FF has plans for that now.

Well they said they are making that one have more difficulty modes into that version among other things.

Some new deats coming out, though it seems to contradict some of the stuff we've heard from before.

EDIT: Forgot the link: http://www.push-start.co.uk/all/pla...irst-screenshots-claire-redfield-burton-more/

It includes scans from the magazine.

Earlier this morning my issue of the November Gamesmaster Magazine turned up in the post and with it were some exciting details for the recently announced Resident Evil: Revelations 2, set for release early 2015 for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Many of the details revealed include the return of Claire Redfield, the daughter of Barry Burton, plot and enemy details and much more. This information was revealed when Gamesmaster sat down with Resident Evil: Revelations 2 producer Michiteru Okabe.

I will list some of those exciting details below, but if you want to read the article in full, then you can pick up the November issue of Gamesmaster Magazine. I have also taken some images direct from the magazine, for which you can find below.

Claire Redfield will return as the playable lead and it is said that “In the time since we last saw her (Claire), she’s grown to be a seasoned veteran.”

Claire will be joined throughout the campaign with Moira Burton, daughter of the legendary Barry Burton.

The campaign will be playable in co-op or singleplayer.

When playing as Claire, her style will be more combat focused. Whereas Moira will be supplying Claire with health herbs, provided the flashlight and general support.

Claire will be the only player death that will result in a Game Over, one of Moira’s key roles will be to help keep Claire alive (though Claire can obviously heal herself).

The story will take place on an abandoned island detention facility.

The campaign will begin with Claire and Moira awakening after being abducted.

The events will take place between the events of Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6.

Gameplay will be much more Survival Horror orientated (much like the first Resident Evil: Revelations), bringing the series back to its roots with less over the top action, unlike Resident Evil 5 and 6.

Fan feedback has played a part in the development of Resident Evil: Revelations 2.
Producer Okabe said that “The project has been finding the line between listening to fan feedback and also doing something different to confound expectations.”

Okabe also said that “I want this to be both a game that doesn’t lose what made its predecessor great, while also bringing something new and exciting to the Resident Evil series.” He also added that “Achieving that lofty goal by bringing together past and future will make this an itchy-tasty prospect indeed.”

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will feature a new “Afflicted” enemy type, which “may look like zombies, but are in fact something quite different.”

The Afflicted enemy will be both fast and able to deal heavy damage to the player. It is also said that they will force the player to decide whether to take them head-on, sneak up using stealth and applying a take-down or the player can run for the hills and “preserve ammo”.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will run at 1080p and 60fps (for the PC and new gen versions at least).

Afflicted? Wtf, I was hoping they would have traditional zombies after seeing that trailer. Well my excitement went down a bit.

Claire? Well, freaking finally!
I'm not excited that this is going to have the damn co-op once again, but at least it's not game over if the partner dies.

I have a feeling co op is gonna be a permanent fixture with this series going forward.

The info for this sounds good though.

I'd still love for Claire and Leon to reunite, but I think that's just me wanting a REmake of 2.

It sounds interesting, but...

...these are some of the worst aspects of 4, 5, and 6. I don't like being a babysitter, and partner AI always turns me into one. At least Zero had partner zapping.

What? Goddammit. I hated that idea back in Silent Hill 4. ****ing escort missions. At least you could toss Ashley in the trash for a bit in RE4.

if it's Capcom doing it ( the people that do Res per usual) then it's a problem. If it's say some other studio like say naughty dog or other's that have done way better or made sure that won't be a problem with their Ai or have those ai characters bei noticeable the enemy AI then it's a different story. with Res's history minus 4 it's usually terrible

I know it may not be the case but I have a severe loathing for any type of escort missions.

It's the fact that's it's forced and they haven't done what other's have or try to do .( Bioshock being one of them though that sunk Irrational cause the built a new engine for it, But they succeeded ) Cause the Ai capcom has just isn't smart at all most of the time. That's the problem.

Other try to make smarter design's capcom isn't one of those people.
We'll see what happens.

Bioshock Infinites escort mission was the best because it wasn't a gorram escort mission. No one could kill her, she got out of the way and actively helped you during battle. Elizabeth was like a dream come true.

Did you guys not read the part about it saying that Claires death, is the only one that results in a game over. Meaning it doesnt matter what happens to Moira, its only the player character that will result in a fail. So its not escort gameplay as the player only has to worry about themselves.

Like I said smart design. it's possible. Too bad it cost them so much and the publisher they were under ..... if there wasn't a money issue that would do wonders for alot of people. The last of us pulled it off as well the only ones that made the mistake of was you the AI was barely a problem.

Oh sorry pat missed you there. I read it, but I don't trust capcom (japan) when they try stuff they aren't used to doing or skilled at unless they pick up some one that is skilled in a certain area/ field like what Rocksteady did for the bat mobile. As I said we'll see. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt with that. but man I wish they take note from others & hire people that worked on that stuff or not bother til they do.

They also need to learn the word optional over there.

I just have issues relating to anything resembling escort missions. :p Too many flashbacks to SH4 with Eileen.

The co-op in both RE6 and Revelations didn't bother me. When I was playing solo, I barely even noticed them. I still wish we could just drop that extra character, though. As long as it's like those two examples, I'll have no issues with. But **** this game forever if it's implemented like RE5.
