Finished playing RE3R. My clear time was under 4 hours and 39 mins, but my total play time was 7 hours and 30 mins. I was killed 4 times. I wish I could play RE games not feel tensed. I guess zombies biting and the dark lighting affect how I react to things. If these were random goons with a gun, then it wouldn't be frightening. This game is quite short and felt longer because how tense it was for me.
The game looked really good. The controls are good. The graphics are top notched even though I don't like the new look of Carlos and Nemesis. Makes me wonder how a new RE1 remake, and remakes for Zerø and Code Veronica would look like with Capcom's game engine.
Like Ive said before, I wasn't happy with how they remade this. There are certain parts in which reminded me of the original. But the layout of the map is just so different. They kept the police station but they gave it to Carlos. The hospital section was the only section from the original that was done right imo. Not entering the clock tower was the most disappointing. I just don't get how RE2R was almost faithful and featured almost every item from the original. But RER3 omitted a lot of things including memorable bosses and cutscenes. I don't remember RE3 having sewers. They reused the sewers from RE2R and the new enemies and pasted them here.
I played this for the sake of completion. Its disappointing that they wasted the true potential of a RE3 Remake. I didn't try the multiplayer as I don't have a ps plus subscription.
