Capcom The Resident Evil Thread

I think I will be getting Village in ps4 mostly because I have RE0 to RE7 in Ps4 case and I don't want Re8 to stick out like a thumb sore in the shelf with its ps5 spine label. And Re9 isn't coming out very soon.

Ign released a gameplay footage for the ps4 version of Re8 and I didn't notice a difference from the ps5 footage.

Got all excited to hop on and try the RE:Verse beta but the servers are already under maintenance until tomorrow :funny:

I'm not interested in Re:Verse but at least Capcom managed to turn on the lights in the police station.... I hated RE2 with its broken bulbs.

I bought re3r today, so I have now Ø to 7 on ps4. I just don't know when will I have the strength to play Zerø, 1R and 3R.:hehe:

That was a poorly edited trailer. But the game still looks cool. That massive factory with all the bodies hanging from hooks on a conveyor system has me really intrigued. And I'm guessing the lycan guy is the giant lady's brother.

Finished playing RE3R. My clear time was under 4 hours and 39 mins, but my total play time was 7 hours and 30 mins. I was killed 4 times. I wish I could play RE games not feel tensed. I guess zombies biting and the dark lighting affect how I react to things. If these were random goons with a gun, then it wouldn't be frightening. This game is quite short and felt longer because how tense it was for me.

The game looked really good. The controls are good. The graphics are top notched even though I don't like the new look of Carlos and Nemesis. Makes me wonder how a new RE1 remake, and remakes for Zerø and Code Veronica would look like with Capcom's game engine.

Like Ive said before, I wasn't happy with how they remade this. There are certain parts in which reminded me of the original. But the layout of the map is just so different. They kept the police station but they gave it to Carlos. The hospital section was the only section from the original that was done right imo. Not entering the clock tower was the most disappointing. I just don't get how RE2R was almost faithful and featured almost every item from the original. But RER3 omitted a lot of things including memorable bosses and cutscenes. I don't remember RE3 having sewers. They reused the sewers from RE2R and the new enemies and pasted them here.

I played this for the sake of completion. Its disappointing that they wasted the true potential of a RE3 Remake. I didn't try the multiplayer as I don't have a ps plus subscription.

The new demo for Village is interesting. It reminds me of Re4 a lot. Graphically, I don't think it looks better than RE3R, RE3R looks like a newer game in comparison. But it is still fine, looks and feels super atmospheric. I like that theres a photo mode and the menu interface looks different from the last three games. They finally used the touch pad button for the map.

I think I would have been eXcited for this if this wasn't in 1st person. 1st person is just not for me. Like I want to see Ethan's face especially in cutscenes. The movement of his body when he runs, crouches and uses his weapons. Its just not the same with third person.

I can't wait to watch a full playthrough of this though neXt month. I wonder how long this game is.

I'm kind of impressed with the amount of work they are putting into RE4 VR.

I'm curious how long this game is. Beside from Lady Deathstrike and her daughters. There are other five family members including the guy with the hammer in the trailer. From the trailers, there's also a guy or a girl with wings. Plus add in the creepy old lady and a big werewolf that looks like a semi-boss. This game is going to be a lot longer than 7 and the recent remakes. Can't wait to watch a walkthrough of this this week.

This is going to be the best RE in ages!

Played the demo and I just thought it was such a shame it wasn't VR compatible.

I hope its just an issue with the demo, but the village demo was graphically underwhelming and very last gen. Hopefully the release version is much better.

I played the village demo in ps4 and it didn't look better than RE3R.

PS5 has no loading screens. Only a 1.8 seconds fade to black. XBX/S have loading screens of around 8 seconds. Highstable framerate on PS5 and X. Raytracing is decent.

Rosemary is the protagonist of RE9? Unless Ethan Winters is alive again.

I find it odd that towards the end, the cutscenes aren't in first person perspective and Capcom still hid Ethan's face.... that just doesn't make sense.

Watched the walkthrough of this and it looks super eXhausting. The map is literally a maze and the enemies are aggressive.

I am curious what the final balance of the game is going to be like. Because I just watched a very RE7 sequence, to contrast with the more RE4 stuff at the start.

The ending...the art design...the story...
