Capcom The Resident Evil Thread

It just seems like another side project. I don't know why Capcom keeps doing these side projects especially with Resident Evil. Like we had Outbreak, Chronicles, Revelations, Operation Racoon City inbetween the numbered games and now this. Re8 should come out 2 to 3 years after re7. And if only they just focused on numbered titles/games, we would have been in Resident Evil 12 by now.

I'm completely not interested in this. Come back next year with Re8/re3remake announcement.

After remaking RE2, I know they were going to have a hard time topping it but I guess they decided to switch to multiplayer this go around instead rather than try another single player game.

An important fact is that Capcom isn't making Project Resistance. They are letting someone else make it, using their own engine.

Not thrilled with the gameplay I saw. The mastermind dropping things on the players doesn't look great.

During this year's E3, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 were making their way into the Nintendo Switch at a yet-to-be-determined date this year; giving players the chance to experience these titles on a Nintendo console for the first time ever.

Capcom then revealed that Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 would both release at the same time, finally becoming available for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of October; joining the previously released Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil 4.

Today, Capcom has announced that pre-orders for both Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 have just become available; making players aware that demo versions of both games will also be released today on the Nintendo Switch eShop. As of this writing, however, neither show up on the eShop.

It is worth mentioning that Capcom has also announced that players who already own digital copies of Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil, or Resident Evil 4 — on the Nintendo Switch — will also get a discount when they pre-order Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6.

Check it out:

While the Umbrella Corporation and its crop of lethal viruses have been destroyed and contained, a more dangerous threat has emerged. Somewhere in Africa, innocent villagers are transforming into aggressive and disturbing creatures. Featuring online and couch co-op, players can experience this Resident Evil classic as either Chris Redfield or his partner Sheva Alomar, as the duo works together to investigate and stop those responsible for the viral outbreak. Resident Evil 5 releases on Nintendo Switch this Fall.

Blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 delivers an epic dramatic horror experience. Resident Evil favorites Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Ada Wong are joined by new characters, including Jake Muller, to face a new horror, the highly virulent C-virus, as the narrative moves between North America, the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang.

Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6 will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 29th of October

Finally got to play both remakes of RE1 and RE2.

I think RE1 remake might be the scariest RE game I've ever played, and I chose 'Walk in the Park' difficulty

RE2 is pretty fun, I love evading Mr. X, and I thought I'd be too scared the whole time to enjoy myself.
The R.P.D. layout is familiar enough to be recognizable, but it's still different enough to make a newcomer who completed the original numerous times lost.

Sounds like Sony leaked that Resident Evil 3 remake is about to be announced.

Nothing gives me anxiety quite like being chased by a crimson head. Love and hate them at the same time.

Playing Leon Scenario B on Standard difficulty this time, and the most difficult thing is being able to pass those zombies after changing Leon's outfit to his R.P.D uniform. I hate the gun he uses one handed cause it's hard to control.

I'm trying my best to stop that from happening, especially since a lot of these zombies will be replaced by Hunters later. I'm glad there is some gas available to burn their corpses.

Jill looks great from the cover leak.

Nemesis/Carlos however... could look better.

Its exciting that it might be released earlier than expected.
I was hoping it was a fan made cover because of the Nemesis design.

Finally saw the leak and the designs aren't too bad. Nemesis does take some getting used to.

It looks great! Can't believe its gonna be out in 5 months! Capcom isn't wasting time! I guess the remakes for re2/3 were done back to back. I'm stillnot a fan of how Carlos and Nemesis look like. Carlos has a I woke up like this look while Nemesis just looks uglier, like the design of the face was downgraded. His teeth look like toothpicks. Having background people in the game might make it less scary which is fine to me, though I think it lessens the feeling that Jill is really stranded and everybody living in the city (except for 2 other people)are just zombies. I also wonder if Carlos is going to be playable for a longer period. i can't wait to see the Clock tower and if there's going to be back tracking from downtown and uptown.

If they could release 2 remakes in 2 years, then they should really make 1 again, then zero and code veronica.

As for re8, I wonder when they are going to release that.

Nice trailer. Looks promising.

The orphanage is back, and so is the underground Umbrella facility.

We hear Murphy talking, but no lines for Carlos.

Nice! Nemesis is the only RE game, out of the main series that I never really played nor finished. They really didn't port it into many systems.

Now please Capcom announce Dino Crisis!

PS1, PC, Dreamcast, Nintendo Gamecube.....

Not many ports of that?

I got the RE2 update linking me to REmake 3 on PS Network.

Yeah, I had a PS1 and a Dreamcast, I guess I can't remember why I never played RE3? I got Code Veronica for the Dreamcast, did that come out around the same time? I probably also moved on to the PS2 because I got that when it first came out.

I really do hope it's a remake!!

Not to get greedy but I want 1 and 2 remake and a new one!

Raptors in this engine can't be more terrifying than zombies on Hardcore. These monsters are evasive, harder to dodge than cerberus and lickers, and are quick on the jump even when avoided.

RE3 came out in 1999, the original Dreamcast port of Code Veronica came out the same year I believe.

That's what it was then. Looks like I'll be going into RE3 remake not knowing anything, unlike RE2 where I knew what was to come, even though it was different. (if that make sense)
