The rules are quite clear: You can play as any Marvel character so long as they aren't deemed as unnessesary. If he can do it well enough, then I don't see why this would be unnessesary. Spidey and SS are two different superheroes and it's not like he's a clone or anything.

I agree. Sort of takes away from Spider-Man a bit to have another one so soon.

Not to mention that there's plenty of other major characters out there that are available to be fleshed out from square one.

Well I was planning on having Ben be in the hospital bed telling his life story to a nurse. And I was going to stretch that out over a couple of post. Giving some time for Spider-Man to be developed. Plus, I still need to MB about adding Wilson Fisk to Ben's back story.

Well, I'm only postponing SS now because I don't want to have him pop up when Spider-Man is still getting over the Symbiote Saga.

I don't want to start anything Civil Waresque, but does anyone else think that when these heroes meet each each other for the first time, a few fists should be thrown? I mean, if person A sees person B doing something superhuman, his gut reaction is usually to be afraid and kick the snot out of what he perceives as a threat.

At this stage, the Surfer against anyone would be a pretty unfair fight. I could see a Spidey-DD encounter early on, probably Cap and Stark too.
