Because despite his bull**** about changing sex being nothing for skrulls there ARE female skrulls and male skrulls and he was a male skrull so it must be most comfortable for him in that form, surely. Plus every issue Vaughn has to show him as male and female to explain what he's doing for his lesbian fiancee.

She still held it w/o Nico's help; Nico just kept her from dozing off.
The way she was drawn for that last line was awesome though, but those 1-liners are atrocious

That's fine with me. I'll start my own meeting for the "Chase is an *******" club. But all in all, I don't detest him like you seem to detest Molly. I think each character plays thier role and to take any out would be disasterous. Gert hasn't been gone long so the verdict isn't completely out yet but I do feel her absence.

Molly aside, I wish that heroes with superstrength were written with more consistency. I'm tired of seeing Thing, Colossus, and Strong Guy throwing planets in one book and struggling to pick up a VW beetle in another.
