Days of Future Past The Sentinels - Part 1

She is not replicating a power, as I said before, Mystique can create things out of her own mass, including that of inanimate objects. She's created clothes, hats, and glasses using her powers.

I know she screams when he cut through them and that is because they were a part of her, but that doesn't mean they were made of flesh. They had the physical properties of metal claws, which is why she was able to cut with them.

Wolverine can cut through near anything with his claws, that is why he is able to cut through hers, because she cannot replicate the properties of adamantium.

Watch it again. They were red inside. They were made of flesh.

You would think that since the X-men have been defending themselves from these things for so long that they would have learned some things about them. They really could've used the Sentintals changing against them. Have them go up against Colossus where they turn to metal to counter his attack and have Magneto take them out. Use Sunspot or Iceman to make them go all fire/ice and have those two have their way with them with the opposite.

You know, that's a good point... Why did they fail to use their powers like that...???

That's what happens when you don't have Cyclops around to call the shots. :o

Because the battle against the Sentinels was fast paced and their "changing" wasn't that predictable. EX: The Sentinels that Colossus faced at the end of the film didn't change to metal and the ones that Sunspot attacked turned to diamond and rock.

Besides, in the film we aren't aware of anyone fighting the Sentinels and surviving. Kitty's group was killed and their deaths were reset to a point where they had no memories of the details of the battle.

And that is one of my complaints during the final scenes. The future sentinels were portrayed to be just too powerful. With that, we got less screen time for the future mutants esp. in the final battle. They all fell down like dominoes too quickly. There was not enough time to build the right momentum and tension, IMO.

Why do you think the filmmakers chose to primarily set the future scenes in a Chinese monastery?

Cool shot of the Great Wall of China, need somewhere that would have a monestary and is entirely remote I guess

Maybe because its far from the city unlike if they were in a city, there would have been more Sentinels roaming.

No, I don't think so considering they look nothing like Iron Man, I feel like it would have been good to see.

I see that as a GOOD thing, because that's the point. The Sentinel's were too powerful, the X-Men COULDN'T win in the future. That's why the needed to do the time travel in the first place.

You mean the Magneto that was dying of a massive stomach wound at the time? He wasn't in much of a position to do anything except stagger back to Xavier. Also, you're assuming that they could somehow predict exactly what the Sentinel's would shape shift into at a specific time, which is ridiculous. They're not that predictable, and they didn't always turn into what you'd expect them to at a particular time.

The 2023 Sentinels are awesome. They're so cool even though killed all the X Men. Props to whoever designed them!

Iron Man would never cross my mind if mutant-hunting power-adapting killer robots shot energy beams from their hands.

Shooting from the head (which was cool and scary and a little squeamy) is more something that people would suggest the Destroyer, rather than hands and Iron Man.

The future sentinals were BOSS!

Iron Man is extremly popular right now, if the Sentinels could shoot energy from their hands people would instantly think of Iron Man. The Destroyer is only popular known to comic book readers and people who saw Thor and Im pretty sure they don't remember about it lol
