Homecoming The Side-Villains: the Shocker and Thinkerer thread!

This happens every time. A suit gets leaked in a blurry shot. People complain. Let's wait til we see an official picture or even when its on screen after editing and FX.

I wasn't crazy about the Black Panther suit when it first leaked, but after seeing it on screen, I think it's one of the best.

There's a big difference between worrying about apuffy suit and being disappointed with design changes. They're hardly likely to edit out the combat trousers and vest. Were Joker's tattoos edited out?

Looks great to me, honestly don't get the complaints. It perfectly homages the delightfully goofy design of the comics suit.

Honestly, Yes. Yes I would have...? What's wrong with it? Commence the mocking of the comic suit to prop up Homecoming's adaptation. :whatever:

And honestly, these are the type of comments I don't get. I mean, how do you not understand their complaints when some of the posts above yours are clear as day about what they don't like about it? Don't mean to be rude. I don't like the suit as much after seeing that close-up pic.

Because it's a bad halloween costume lol? And we don't know what it's going to look like in the movie, look at how bad the Spider-Man suit looked on the Civil War set. A lot of things can change! ;)

It ain't worse than what we got now, 'least it doesn't look like some try-hard, homeless serial killer dude  And So..? You think they might to do a complete CG overhaul in the final final film, because I don't see any CG tracking markers on that suit. Either way, it's miles better than their horribly unrecognizable Vulture design, it at least resembles the comic design, it looking cheap makes sense (though it could've been handled a lot better). So i'm not going give them too much flack for it. :cwink:

:loco: Idk, what you're talking about, man, the Spidey suit on CW set looked amazing.

Y'know I generally think the old 'throw up a homemade cosplay pic and mock it' a bit of a cheap ploy, but here I honestly wouldn't see either of those suits out of place at a convention. The cosplay may be fan made, but at least it's a cleaner, more accurate representation. The movie Shocker looks like the clothes were fished out a bin behind a charity shop. Neither make me think big budget movie studio designed this.

Horribly unrecognizable Vulture design? You can't tell me that a Spider-Man fan looks at that concept art and doesn't know it's the Vulture... Doesn't even need to be a Spidey fan, just anyone who knows who the vulture is.

So on the main board it sounds like the Shocker suit is a fake. I must say for a fake, I liked it as a starter suit/prototype suit, but I can see people stating it looks very cosplayer-esque too.

So if it is a fake... maybe we can get something very 616-like except it'll probably be like the Spider-Man suit with added unnecessary added lines, bands, and patterns. :oldrazz:

this would of been very doable

just make it similar to antman suit

THE ANT-MAN SUIT WAS MADE BY HANK PYM WHO HAD ALOT OF RESOURCES BECAUSE HE WORKED FOR SHIELD! SHOCKER IS A STREET LEVEL CRIMINAL!! I am sorry for raging but I don't understand why people don't get this.

Have you seen the original shocker costume? You do realize his a thug right? He's costume is meant to look homemade, he's not loki or crossbones, hes a street level criminal, this costume is perfect of representing that

Was about to say, this is what I was thinking. The Shocker's outfit kind of shouldn't look all professionally designed. If anything, it should be at a similar level of quality to what Peter's suit looked like pre-Stark. Though who knows, maybe he could get an upgrade later on courtesy of some quiet assistance from Justin Hammer. ;)

Shocker isn't some kid in his aunt's house though. He's a career criminal and inventor with the ability and ruthlessness to acquire what he needs. He may not be able to build something that could rivasrivasl Stark tech, but he shouldn't be wearing charity shop discards.

You must be totally ignoring his gauntlets

Because they're the least objectionable thing about the design.

He has probably put most of his budget into the gauntlets and I'm sure the criscrossed material underneath his vest is some type of protection armour or shock absorber.

Have another look at his top in the close up. Particularly the collar. It's just some crappy old store bought shirt.
