Didn't see one created and with the film coming out tonight/tomorrow, I figured I'd create a thread to discuss all things spoilers

Just saw it.
I didn't hate it but really didn't love it, they took all the fun from the first Ant-Man movies out. He really isn't a fight a major villain kind of hero with a big story. I had hopes they could pull it off, but the movie was flat feeling. The first hour felt empty movie didn't pick up until Kang appeared. They acted like he was Voldermort by not saying his name much at all.
It was standard villain has huge army fight sequences. I guess the approach they are going with for Kang is because he has so many variants they don't need him to be dominate and a singular threat. Kang The Conqueror was strong but should not have been defeated by Ant-Man & Wasp swarm of ants. Kang did need Scott so that could be a reason he was defeated, he was not going all out.

Didn't care an ounce for the Quantum people they met.
Wished MODOK was an entirely new player not just Darrin/YellowJacket.

Overall I would say 5.5 I liked Majors but think if you are not into the whole MCU it would be forgettable.

I figured Janet and Hank were going to stay behind in the Quantum Realm to help rebuild (and Hank could stay with his super ants) and live the rest of their days.

I think it would have been emotionally satisfying if instead of just Wasp, the whole family came back suited up— 5 super heroes against Kang.

Janet gets to say goodbye to Hope this time, and make up for the guilt she feels for helping Kang.

THe "redemption" of MODOK/Darren for laughs was annoying and should've been scrapped. Leave him being a dick. There was nothing dangerous about him after they revealed who it was.

It definitely became eye roll worthy there at the end but I also think it was a nice little arc for Cassie to help or give him that push towards redemption.

Yeah, obviously there’s humor to be had when you include MODOK but I think he should have retained the menace he had as Yellowjacket, and the gag would just be everyone’s reaction to it being Darren.

And I love the idea of MODOK rebelling against Kang, but it should be because he wants to return to reality. When he sees the ant army charging in (which, admittedly, I thought was pretty cool), MODOK sees an opportunity and attacks his master.

I liked Darren as MODOK, but I agree that the Quantum rebels were lacking—couldn’t tell you any of their names. Not bad, just not sort of there.

The main girl was fine for what she was. I liked her well enough and she had some cool action sequences

I expected MODOK to rebel the moment Kang had his first scene and told him to shut up. I thought he would just do it on his own which would have been better. Cassie's whole story was helping people and she just rallied all the Quantum people so she didn't need to be the reason for MODOK.

I wonder, where we see the other variants.
Victor Timely sure will be Loki season 2
But Rama Tut, Imortus, Scarlet(Violet) Centurion…I think I even saw an Iron Lad at the Council.
Kang the Conqueror will be probably reappear in Kang Dynasty (he even yelled that before he was defeated the first time)

btw I liked their weird designs

The Marvels maybe we get one
Dr.Strange 3 for sure but this isn't announced yet for phase 6
Fantastic 4 maybe but they really should focus on getting Doom right and ready
They may end up lumping them all into the Kang Dynasty movie and then what is between that and Secret Wars.

I wish they hadn't gone over the top with the stadiums of kang varients. It made the cool scene look a bit laughable.

yeah, it was like a 1000 Jonathan Majors watching the UEFA Champions League finale.
The shouldn’t have been cheering so much.
The 3 main variants were cool. I liked the voice of Imortus. Was like Saw Garera in Rogue One.

Haven’t seen the film yet but did watch both credits scenes. Thought they were great.

one thing I was a bit dissapointed was, that his fortress wasnt Chronopolis with different areas from different time epoches . But maybe this will be in Battleworld or something else

It is a scene ripped from one of the comics, I think it was fine but the cgi execution was bad. They are fanboying out over seeing the 3 leaders appear.

I thought this Kang was supposed to be the main Kang though? I'm not sure the Marvel heroes fighting an army of Kang's is gonna go over well

I really hope this version of Kang isn't actually dead. I was hoping THIS Kang was gonna be the main Kang in The Kang Dynasty. It's not a good look to have the first 2 variants of a "Thanos level villain" be easily killed without the Avengers.

I think they should have scrapped the quantum people, Bill Murray’s character and MoDok they could have focused more on like the heist of getting the multiversal thing for Kang, and focus on Making Kang seem like A good guy through Scott and Kassie and then have Kang betray them both leading to a big showdown with Kang at the end

They completely botched the ending with these re-writes.

Kang should've escaped, with Scott and Hope remaining trapped in the Quantum Realm. Just like the original plot leak from last year. It would've made for a great cliffhanger and even better build-up for Kang Dynasty.

But nah, they had to make it the safest possible ending with the Conqueror getting defeated by an army of ants.

Scott trapped in the Quantum Realm wouldn’t have been very original.
I don’t think, that the Conqueror is defeated. I‘m confident he‘ll return, since he’s the most badass variant and has the most iconic costume.

Scott was trapped in part of the Quantum realm but not this deep in so I think they would have been fine doing it again or just killing him. I don't see Scott being the main focus or the big voice in the room in Avengers. Loki will have more of a voice if he returns to the movies. Kill him off and it would have had some impact so show Kang's strength.
