For anyone whose seen the woverine I ask one thing, please tell me the jean and Logan stuff isn't done In a way that looks like she is his love interest, like an ex gf Logan lost

Geez why do people always ask these kind of questions. What answer do you expect when you ask that? It takes place after the events of X3.

It plays out very nicely. It does the job X3 was suppose to do, in making us care. If you don't like the Jean/Wolverine relationship welcome to the club, but its not unbearable. Where as X3 made me loath this relationship, I actually grew a new fondness of it thanks to this movie. Weird eh.

So your saying it still goes along them romantic lines? Darn it :down  :argh:

I do worry how far they will push it, it felt like she was forced to be his love interest in x3 even though there really was nothing to back it up, but its one of those trick the audience moments where we will just have him say he loves her and we will have a scene where she tries to seduce him

But hey

I'll be seeing this movie on Sunday and unfortunately only the 3D version is shown.

Is the 3D at least decent? Any mentions of 3D quality and application in any of the reviews published so far?

If the Jean stuff are only dream sequences which could be just by looking at trailer, then we are looking through Wolverines mind, and he pretty much is obsessed with her. This does not mean that Jean loves him.

Your on the right track...

And yes, Jean never said "I love you" back in x1-3.

Yes it was forced in x3, that's why it sucked. In this it's a bit different and 100 times more emotionally valid. It made me care about the Jean/Logan relationship. *gasp* blasphemy right? You'll have to see it for yourself.
also famke looks 10 times better than she did in X3 lol.

I'd rather there was no jean and wolverine romantic relationship, being a cyclops fan I'm not fond of the forced relationship of jean and Logan, mostly because I can't see them ever being able to get away from jean feeling like wolverines love interest if cyclops ever did return, at least the eyes of casual audiences who have had more of a love story with jean and Logan, even if it was forced And out of place, it still had more of a love story then cyclops had with her sadly

Jean is dead. She died in X3. They do not retcon that. It's in so many of the prop materials and interviews. He's "haunted by his past." If you watch the movie and think she's actually alive and currently in love when Logan you're not paying attention.

I have finished my rewatch of all X-Men films to prepare for the wolverine on friday.I just bought my ticket to first showing here In Kansas City.

as for jean according to what i hear
she Is simply In wolverine's dreams and hallunications. He loved her so In his mind she was his love.

Nothng in this movie is about Jean and Logan being a couple. He loved her, which was established from the first movie, and he's dealing with his own guilt for having to kill her. [BLACKOUT]The Jean in the movie is all in his head.[/BLACKOUT]

for those who've seen the film, something i've been pondering, and maybe you can answer. With Wolverine getting a "cure" to make him mortal.... is there absolutely any reference to the "cure" from X3? it just seems a bit odd to me that this "fix" is represented in such a way that it's something "new and amazing" for wolverine to contemplate, when he's already dealt with a "cure" previously.

I'm very interested on if any of that is mentioned, or what forces wolverine to take it, when he had the chance before?

i guess im asking why this cure is suddenly more impactful than the X3 cure? if that makes sense?

There's no cure. It's an entirely different scenario.

ok, good... because i was very curious about that. I was like.... umm.. there's nothing new about a mutant cure, why should we be enthralled by this notion?

hopefully ill see the film this weekend!

Yeah, there's no cure or anything. It's more of an offer, and things escalate from there, but it's totally not any kind of a cure.

I seriously can't wait to see this thing again. I might even see it a third time next month! The whole Shingen/Wolverine fight was just one of the coolest Comicbook movie moments and fights IMO.

I can't wait to go again tomorrow!

That fight was amazing.

And yes, Jean never said "I love you" back in x1-3.

Maybe it was Jean, but not exaacctly Jean, if you catch my drift. [BLACKOUT]Phoenix was attracted to him due to her pure instinct of lust, and specifically when she said "you put me here" made me feel as if it was more Phoenix than Jean. I think it was her actual conscious. We see her rapid shifts in personality several times throughout.[/BLACKOUT]

I think they did that purposefully so they have the option to circle back on it if they choose to. But at the same time it's not a loose end if they don't. And that, ladies and gents, is what we call good writing

She's a hallucination in this movie. It's not Jean. She's all in Wolverine's head. And his feelings for her here were what was established from the original movie on.

Your right I did think exactly that too. That's partially why I dug it so much. It can be handled differently and was handled very well in the movie. It didn't over explain things.
