You want well written motivations for the villains? I think you are watching the wrong show for that. t:

I don't want motivations, I have them, I just want to SEE her back story and more so how she met and was trained by Slade.

To be fair, we never actually saw Merlyn's wife die, or his LOA training, and yet people bought that as a motivation. Also, Isabel's motivation is pretty similar to her comic book counterpart, at least at it's core. They've changed some of the aesthetics, but the basics are the same. She really is just that petty and vindictive, both in the comics and in the show. Plus, Summer Glau is so much fun as a villain that I kind of don't care that her motivation is weak, sort of like Manu Bennett. They both sell it so well.

Now that Glau finally has some juicy material to work with, she's turning in good performances. Good for her.

Yeah, I can't wait to see her go all Ravager on everyone. BTW, do we think that the Mirakuru will drive her crazy like it's done to Roy and Slade? Because that could make running Queen Consolidated very difficult for her.

As long as she doesn't go all Incredible Hulk on anyone during board meetings, I think she'll be fine.

To clarify, I am not wanting to see the back-story between Isabel and Slade because I need it to buy into her motivations, I just think it would be cool and add to her character if we got to see it.

The season 2 script info is half truth. They had said that in a very early iteration of the series( Probably before the pilot was filmed), they had planned on bringing Sara back as Ravager in season 2. So, from the very beginning they had planned on bringing Sara back. But later changed the Ravager idea.

Black Canary and Roy Harper have a bit more comics history than Digg or Felicity, but i may be more upset if Digg or Felicity are killed off than i would be if Canary or Roy were killed..

yeah. I also thought it looked funny. Reminded me of Chuckie

It is funny looking. Maybe they should have used Slade's island mask material. And they should have definitely tried to stick closer to the comic design.

This is just cosplay, but looks less awkward. Now with the TV budget, it could have looked really great.

I love Summer Glau, but her head is just shaped unusually. You can't really fix that, it is what it is. And the mask is basically just Rose Wilson's Ravager mask, only with the nose uncovered. Which is admittedly a weird aesthetic choice (maybe it was difficult to breath in the mask with the nose covered or something like that.

They're all funny looking. Slade's, the prisoners', Isabel's...all equally terrible looking IMO.
