So there is going to be two different Superior Spider-Man books ?

Superior Spider-Man

and

Superior Spider-Man Team Ups ?

with Superior Spider-Man still being the flag ship of the Spider-man books

Yup, although nothing is really changing. There's the main book then a team up one.

Honestly, the success of the team-up book makes me hopeful that when the Superior era ends, not only will we most likely get the Amazing title back, but hopefully the return of a second tier solo like Spectacular Spider-Man or Web of Spider Man. Just like the old days.

I have to say I've been enjoying Avenging Spider-Man more than the normal title (at least since Yost took over), so anything more of this vein is a good thing.

I wonder if they remember doing the mindwipe???

I know Strange has memories... but Tony acts like he knows nothing at all...

Aloha,
I'm still confused as far as where does age of ultron fit into continuity:huh:
I was reading the latest interview with Slott. He said the last person SpOck wants to meet up with is Dr Strange. I knew I was on the right track.:word:

Anyone else notice how the Madame Web storythread running through Scarlet Spider ties into this? She said the web was severed about the time Ock took over, and went into a coma. She has now come out of the coma and desperately wants to contact Kaine (after her previous attempt with the letter failed), which must be what brings Kaine back to NYC to confront SpOck...

Julia must know.

Aloha,
So what did you guys think of Superior #8?

Another solid issue! I'm really enjoying this story, and I'm almost a little, dare I say, nervous that Ock will cancel Pete out for good.

I'm mentally preparing myself to buy this book for the Spidey 2099 arc (and I hope it's only an arc). After hearing that it's the actual 2099 Spidey and not some stupid alternate 2099 character, I'm pretty excited.

It was also an alternate Spider-Man 2099 that ran with the Exiles. That was two burns for a 2099 lover like me... though X-Men 2099 was more my book. I'd STILL love to see Skullfire coming to the 616, and to see more done with Halloween Jack, who DID come to the 616 for one issue of X-Force. And I'm not sure if Spider-Man 2099's appearances in Peter David's Captain Marvel series was the main Miguel or not. I never read that story.

I'm wondering at what point will Miguel be plucked from the 2099 Universe. The most sense would be after World of Tomorrow so his future can be open while still maintaining his entire printed history. Technically I guess his last appearance would be after Manifest Destiny (I think the one-shot was called) but that story is best ignored.

PAD did say he has a new project with Marvel to announce that he's keeping stum about

*a boy can dream*

Oh, wow. That'd be awesome. And Marvel has a thing right now for launching things out of Slott's Spider-Man run. I was hoping for a Cardiac book but a new Spider-Man 2099 title by PAD would do a lot better and would be amazing.

It took me a while to get caught up with Superior Spidey due to Marvel's odd Subscription service but #8 had a awesome ending!

I'd be interested in this run if not for the premise. I can't stand Doc Ock so I can't stand the main point of the whole story, but I love the other characters that Slott's brought in. If Ock wasn't involved, I'd have likely jumped on board the moment I heard Cardiac's name mentioned.

Loved it. The ending was amazing and left me pumped for part 9.

I swear putting Doc Ock in Spidey's body is the most entertainment I've had with the Spidey comics in YEARS. I just love how Slott writes him.

If Peter David does another Spider-Man 2099 book I will totally buy that s**t.

If Peter David does any Spider-Man book I will totally buy that s**t

If Peter David does anything I will totally buy that ****. His record is solid.

Our friendly neighborhood Scanbro over at /co/ leaked Issue 9 tonight.

Depending on who you're rooting for, you're either going to be very pissed or very ha- actually no, you'll probably be pissed in some way either way.
I enjoyed it though.
