Comics The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 2

Haha, Spidey did to Phil what Superman did to Batman 2 weeks ago. I love all this secret identity outing :D

This run continues to be great!

I love Goblin centric arcs. And we got us an old fashioned Goblin mystery! :woot:

Speculation time. Anyone think...

Phil may die and the nerd that was fixing his tech will be the new Hobgoblin?

^^^Probably.

The cool thing about
Hobgoblin these days is that it could be anyone. A sick twist on how Spider-Man is the hero that could be you. Now one of his greatest enemies is the villain that could be someone you know.

They really glossed over how SpOck found out Phil was goblin...I had to read it a few times before I realized how he knew so suddenly.

It read to me very similarly as to how Norman had first found out Peter was Spider-Man... even the panels seemed eerily similar... probably on purpose.

:yay:

Slott keeps dropping hints that
Peter is in Norman's mind and he is the Goblin...I mean who else could have figured out how to hack SpOck's tech and block Goblins from triggering alarms then so easily shut that block off?

Slott's giving me the impression that Peter wouldn't be smart enough to do something like that.

Me too. It's like Slott built him up to be a super genius while he was alive, but now that Ock is in his body none of peters genius really seems to compare to what Otto is capable of.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Did you guys read Superior #15? Because Otto is starting to encounter the same problems Peter had all the time as Spider-Man.

Aloha,
Which is why I feel like after SpOck gets his doctorate he is going to eliminate the persona of Peter Parker and become a full time Spider-Man.He's already thinking on those lines.

I'm hoping for this. He seemed incapable of living both lives efficietly so why not do away with the one that comes off as the hinderance.

Aloha,
I can see him hooking up with the Black Cat as Spidey and leaving a great deal of Peter's life in shambles. Basically, not showing up and not being available to anyone within Peter's world.Carlie and MJ know something is not right.Looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

What will become of poor May?! I guess JJJ Sr. is taking pretty good care of her since we haven't seen her in a while. Except in that one panel.

Fisk is the same way. He flat out said "That isnt Spider-Man" as Otto was raiding Shadowland.

A lot of people have already said it. The problem is, how are you going to prove it? That's the problem the Avengers encountered.

MJ knows something is wrong, but not that it isnt Peter under the mask. Carlie is more suspicious. As far as I know, no one else really thinks that is isnt the same old Spider-Man. A different attitude yes, but still the same person.

Good grief, this is the Marvel universe. Aren't there some sorcerers or psychics or mind-readers kicking around that can quite easily discern that it isn't Peter in that body? Reed Richards or Tony Stark could probably hack together some brain-reading gizmo and figure it out too.

The only real answer is, they can't prove it in-story because the writer doesn't want it proved yet.

Gee wiz, really? You think so? :o

We're talking about it from a storyline sense. If Peter is in Norman's body like everyone is speculating, then Dan Slott probably won't use Tony or Reed to get him out of it. Peter will do it on his own, now that he's got a physical body to give him a fighting chance.

Doc Strange or a novice telepath should be able to see past this with ease. I agree that it continues b/c there's a story to tell.

While SpOtto has gone out of his way to avoid Dr. Strange, it's not like Stephen to dwelve into his friend's mind every time he sees him... there IS mutual respect between the heroes...

Strange would have to be given some pretty decent information or a really damn good reason in order to think about looking into his friend's head... imo.

If Xavier was still alive, Otto would be f***ed. Chuck has no shame.
