With Chris and his secrecy paranoia, we would sooner see him in shorts and a tshirt (again) than see anything legit leak

That doesn't mean ****... "paradise" is a Persian word, but in Persian it's just a beautiful garden... "Hyperbole" is a literary exaggerated, extravagant statement - often due to a redundancy of words. You cannot use it in that sense.

That's exactly what it means in greek and that's exactly how I applied it in your BB/TDKR and BC comparison. And I stand by it, not in the sense that I'm right and you're wrong about how ridiculous the titles sound compared to one another, but in the sense of how I used the word.

In retrospect (and I hated Escalation back then) but Escalation would have made sense... Returns, Forever, Begins, Rises and Continues are all ridiculous. The only reason you're more comfortable with Begins, Returns and Forever is because you've become more comfortable with it. At least using "Returns" in Superman made sense... he was actually gone from the Planet for a while.

No, the moment I heard that BB was the title of that new Batfilm back then I thought "Ok, makes sense" and nothing more. Batman Forever I thought was something a Bat-groupie had come up with (even back in 1995 when I was 10) and Returns... is meh.
In retrospect, I like BB as much as I did, I still don't care about BR and I love what BF can mean if applied to the right movie (which is why, if I'm correct about Bruce's story in TDKR, it should've been this movie's title).
Agreed about Superman Returns.
Still don't agree that all those titles are anywhere near as awful as BC.

I just mean that they sound like titles a five year old came up with.

I'm about to give you a list of perfectly fine titles for the films:

Batman Returns - Shadow of the Bat (it's darker and involves what Batman's appearance brought upon the city)

Batman Forever - Batman and Robin (Robin is introduced... makes sense)

Batman and Robin - Gotham Knights (there's more than just Batman and Robin in this one), hell, even "Batman: Final Night" would have worked...

Batman Begins - Batman: Year One

The Dark Knight Rises - Gotham City (this one will be about Gotham's character and how it has grown due to Batman's influence. That's what the last two set this up to be at least.

Looks like I'm going to be an extra for that football sequence! :D

Vigilante.JJ, thanks so much for the pics and stories!

Characters that were at the manor:

Bruce (Bale)
Selina (Hathaway)
Alfred (Caine)
Lucius (Freeman)
Gordon (Oldman)
Blake (JGL)
Mayor Garcia (Carbonell)
Judge (Cullen)
Nixon (Modine)
Priest (Ellis)

Something definitely went down there! :wow:

Cannot wait to see the bat-copter. I guess Nolan and co. will find a way to construct a stealth chopper.

If you call it that, everyone is going to expect a Snyder-style shot-for-shot remake of Year One. That's not at all what Nolan was doing. Giving it a different title than a pre-existing series was absolutely necessary.

I disagree with the 5 yr old part, but my point was never that they were perfect titles. Still, let's see:

Batman Returns - Shadow of the Bat (it's darker and involves what Batman's appearance brought upon the city)

Sure, better than BR.

Batman Forever - Batman and Robin (Robin is introduced... makes sense)

Batman and Robin - Gotham Knights (there's more than just Batman and Robin in this one), hell, even "Batman: Final Night" would have worked...

Although BF was mediocre at best, the title suits it (poorly fleshed out) theme just fine. Yours makes sense, but I prefer BF.
GK, wasted title for a movie like B&R, whose title is fine by me.

Batman Begins - Batman: Year One

Sure, could've worked just as well.

The Dark Knight Rises - Gotham City (this one will be about Gotham's character and how it has grown due to Batman's influence. That's what the last two set this up to be at least.

If the story reverts back to Bruce in this one, then GC might have been better for TDK, but seeing as that title was absolutely perfect for that movie, I think GC should be reserved for a future Batfilm. Except if the themes of TDKR are even broader in scope than TDK's, in which case it could work. However, I'll reserve judgement until I see how the title fits to the movie.

Gotham City would have never worked as a title. This series is first and foremost about Bruce/Batman. Yes the city is integral to the story and other character may have vital importance, but at the end of the day it is about the dark knight.

It's a better title than "The Dark Knight Rises". And I would disagree with you... I feel like the movie is just as much about "Gotham" as a character than "Batman". Not ALL the Batman films, obviously, but the Nolan films.

I don't think taking "Batman" or "Dark Knight" out of the title would be wise. Gotham as the title would feel too game-like. As long as they don't call one Batman Reboot in the future I'll be happy with what we have so far....although i do keep calling TDKR Dark Knight returns...oops!

Why is it better? And how is the movie more about Gotham than the central character of the series?

Now, from what has been set up by the end of TDK it is feasible to deduce that "Gotham" as a character will play a bigger role than it did in the previous films, but not bigger than that of the character the movie is named after. That's just nonsense.

i'm surprised no one's really picked up on the fact the new bat-vehicle may have been revealed...

If it is what they said it was... it's intriguing....why would he need it?

LOL because everyones more interested in arguing what the title of batman returns shouldve been..clearly thats more important.:whatever:

I like the title Gotham. Always have. It packs a punch. GOTHAM.
I don't like TDKR. We already have a TDK title in this trilogy. It's like naming the 3rd film Batman Ends.

Batman Begins
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises.

I don't like it. The Dark Knight should stand alone as does Batman Begins. It shouldn't have to lend it's title to the 3rd film to continue its story.

Maybe that's the point? Maybe the 2nd and 3rd films are more closely connected than the first two are?

Yes Nestor and he was dead polite and nice, from looking on IMDB I've identified Nestor Chris Ellis and Brett Cullen. Chris Ellis was very much the tourist whereas the other two were dead relaxed and easy going!

I didn't manage to get up and speak to them because I was working at the time but that said there were a few crew/production team checking out too. From what i could gather Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman checked out last night which is a shame I would loved to have seen them! Apparently Christian bale was in the bar the night before but that's someone saying they saw and then third hand to me!

Major kudos to u, good info and no BS!

Are you referring to this picture?

It doesn't look like it would be the copter that was described. I'd figure it would have no side windows and no markings on it.

I'm referring to the article that Hunter put in the news-only thread that commented on the fact there were 2 vehicles being built

Ya, I realized that right after I posted. I edited my last post right before you posted yours :funny:

But "revealed?" We have a hint that we may know there's a new Bat-vehicle coming, but there's not much of a description in the article.

I agree completely and I feel that it's clearly a marketing thing. People will see "The Dark Knight Rises" and think "The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger, awesome"
