The Tekken Thread

I haven't played a Tekken game since Tag because I don't have a PS2 or PS3 and there aren't any arcades where I live, but I do like the series. My favorite game is Tekken 3 and my favorite character is Law.

Do you guys remember when you beat Tekken Force for the first time? Took me months! But after literally memorizing all of Eddie's moves, I took down Tekken Force 4 times in a row and got Dr. B

I remember beating the **** out of Tekken for being a piece of crap series.

You must have a low opinion of fighters because Tekken is without a shadow of a doubt one of the best 3D fighters out there, only really rivalled by Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter. I don't think any other fighter has the tournament base that Tekken does.

Well...not EVER but close. And you really don't need a PS3 to play it. Honestly, I'm content with my PS2 version. The PSP version takes some time and practice to get use to (the crummy controls) but all in all it plays just fine.

Lol. I thought the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I quite like DOA and if there was a PS3 version I'd by it, but the DOA series doesn't even come close to comparing to Tekken.

The only thing I like about Tekken is picking absurd characters and beating people in a humiliating fashion, like with the ****ing kangaroo, the wooden thing, and that chick that looks like J Lo and spins around like she's coked out of her mind.

I'd pay more attention to it if I could put my age as 99

Has anyone ever perfectly mastered a character? Because i once heard a interesting theory on Tekken. The game engine is so complex,when someone uses a character,they never use all of the movies that character may have. For example,if you use Lei..are you really going to use all his moves and remember his various stances? You could know most,but not all of them. There are some who know,and use all moves that a character has..but it's not often you see that.
