Thompson's character is as endearing as Idris Elba's is forceful. Even when Heimdall isn't on screen, his presence is very much felt as a shepherd of both the plot points and the people inhabiting Asgard.

Note to Hollywood: From now on, maybe all of our superhero franchises should be outsourced to New Zealand.

The God of Thunder removes the giant hammer from his backside and drops his stodgy pretentions in favor of having a good time.

I guess it's technically possible you'll see another movie this year that'll be this much fun, but I doubt it. And even if you do, it won't have Space Goldblum.

Now we just need another 29 consecutive positive reviews for it to go back up to 97%. Which would be at 143 reviews with 138 Fresh and 5 Rotten. It may not happen, but this movie is performing so well at this point I kind of think anything is possible.

Wow, that’s crazy.

Seeing it tomorrow at 18:00.

Dangit... I loathe Manohla Dargis' reviews for MCU movies. Wish NYT got someone else to review it.

Even if it gets 5 rotten reviews in the next 55 it will still hold 95%. Enough to be the Nr. 1 in the MCU Tomatometer.

Her review is fresh though. But the 6th rotten has been added as well. It was the one by James Berardinelli that BaelaTargaryen spotted. Just one more left that we know is coming(the one by Gregory Wakeman)

Mr. Hemsworth looks happier and far more relaxed in "Ragnarok" than he did in the previous Thor vehicles, which is perhaps Mr. Waititi's truest achievement here.

Superhero fans deserve better than this. Battles should have heart, danger, and consequences. The conflicts in Thor: Ragnarok are lacking in all three.

Wow... Well then, color me shocked. Surprised she did like it.

I still just mostly ignore Dargis' reviews though, LOL!

For a split second there Surfer was indeed The Man.
That time has passed. :woot:

Don't you just love it when some critics presume to speak for everyone and tell us what we deserve?

Weird. For so many, the humor gives the movie joy that may have been missing from the other installments. And this is the most negative review I think from the others.

I am pleasantly surprised at how this is being received here in with the US critics.

Very close to the 150 mark.
