Yes, ideally I would have started Brock's arc in SM1 as well, with him having small cameos in 1 similar to Conners, a slightly larger role in 2, and concluding it in 3.

Of course, in the perfect world, I would have split the symbiote saga into two movies and thus haver Spider-man wear the symbiote for a full movie. My third movie would have dealt with Spider-man learning about his new suit and having to fight Harry and Sandman. I would have left Venom for SM4. This way you avoid smashing too much into 3. This way Brock can slowly develop over 3 movies, so he wont take away too much from the main villains in the earlier movies, and he'll really get to shine in 4.

Also, I'd probably make Brock's daughter have some sort of heart disease. It wouldn't be incurable, but he would definitely need a good amount of money to help her.

Were I in the director's chair (and with your perimission of course!) this would be the characterization to draw from. Depending on how long you can make the first film, have the black suit in part II, then in part III Peter does the "Spider-Man no more" bit because he is afraid of what the suit did to him...however then you have the conundrum of how Harry discovers Peter's identity...maybe a third part split into two parts and titled: Spider-Man 3 (part 1) and then six months later Spider-Man 3 (part II). Maybe. In my mind giving Eddie such an overhaul would eliminate the need for Sandman, while building up to a finale with enough to tie the trilogy together (Harry) while keeping Spider-Man on his toes (Venom).

And for sure I would make the symbiote an actual character. Maybe whispering to Eddie after he accepted the symbiote. Kinda like the Doc Ock tentacles, but to the next level.

Long story short: I'd not really worry about taking away from the villains...I would just treat them each as supporting characters in a bigger story.

I really like that idea. Especially making the symbiote more of a character. An interesting angle to take with that, instead of just making it be a voice in Eddy's head, I would have it manifest itself to him.

For example. At the start of SM3, you always see Eddy talking to a nameless guy. Tells everything to him, and this guy is always with him. Then, as the movie goes on, you realize this other guy is the symbiote projecting itself into Eddy's mind and manifesting itself as a Person Eddy sees and talks to. Basically like someone with a split personality disorder, but it's not his own mind that's creating this other personality, it's the symbiote.

And if you were in the director's chair, I would happily write a script. I hope to be a published writer one day, and if I ever got to write a Spider-man story or screenplay, I would be absolutely ecstatic. :)

I was just thinking & one thing Topher Grace should've did was add 30-40 lbs of muscle instead of just 20. It was definitely noticeable & it's not that big of a deal but it would've been cool to see him a bit bigger. Not a complaint, just a thought.

he was going to wear the muscle suit no matter what, so it wasn't needed for him to add more weight

I don't know if you noticed but Venom is supposed to be bigger than Spider-Man & he's always been stronger.

yea i know, why do you think Raimi chose topher, because he didn't want some huge muscular guy to be a photographer, you should know that

You make it sound like a switch he just can turn on. For someone with his frame, adding 30-40 lbs of muscle would be incredibly difficult and would require much longer than six months of lifting.

exactly

Roll your eyes like a girl all you want, you took a simple thought & looked into it a bit too much.

i wasn't even trying to argue with you, your the one who brought up " don't you know venom is bigger and stronger bull****, just calm the **** down and move on

So, you're calling what I said bull**** even though it's true. I think you need to calm the **** down & move on, bud.

Do you really think that is that easy? Go the grocery store and take a look at 30-40lbs of beef. That's a lot of muscle. For him that is adding about another 1/4 of his body weight.
He is pretty ectomorphic so it was hard enough for him to gain 20lbs I'm sure. Maybe he didn't want to take anabolic steroids like a lot of hollywood does, because that's the only way he was going to gain 30-40lbs of muscle in that amount of time.

me or you? ok the guy who thought topher should have added 40 pounds of muscle:whatever:

Wait, wait a minute, I'm a bad Spider-Man fan because I said an ACTOR could've added more muscle mass? You have no idea how stupid you sound right now.
