It's not that they created him to destroy Superman, he just hates him. It is never stated tht he wants to kill him. He loathes Superman due to the fact that he has been remade in his image and holds that against the Man Of Steel. As far as the government is concerned, he is the counter measure if he is ever needed for it. That's not saying it ever will be. Think of him more as a policing agent with a very bad attitude.

In his eyes, if Superman had never come to earth he would have never been given a choice for this program because it would not be needed. If the program was not needed, then he would have died. Since his reincarnation as Cyborg, Henshaw has also learned to loathe himself for being like Superman. This only strengthens his resolve and pushes him further to differ himself from Superman.

As far as the Manhunters robots are concerned, I can always change their name. I could call them the Guard or just Hunters. I invision them alot like the superman robots, but after seeing the takata toys decided to give them that sinister look after the Cyborg character. This way they serve as a constant reminder to Henshaw of what he has become.

Seems like you really have a good idea about what you want to do with Henshaw, which is more than I can say for myself when I have rushed into picking up characters.

I can call these robots Sentries. It ties into their role as I intend to use them as well as the "S" shield on their chests.

And yes, I do have a clear vision as to where to take him and how to get him there. It will be a combination of what we have seen in the comics, but without the psychopath edge. I plan him to be more cunning due to his abilities, not just a brute like he has been portrayed in the comics. I plan to show him as a US hero type, but he has his own agenda as well. After all he is a military operative which gives him an advantage all it's own if he's attacked.

I think of it like this, if you have the abilities of one superhero and the advantage of being able to uplink to anything and gather more information, why wouldn't you use it wisely instead of rushing into a fist fight?

It was Cyborg or Bizarro, but I couldn't find a reason to call him Bizarro when I finished the inital concept. Henshaw fit it alot better and who knows, if this character gets approved maybe a Bizarro character could be cloned from him with some genetic manipulation and/or splicing fom Superman's DNA left somewhere even an invulnerable aura can't stop a skin flake or hair from falling off/out naturally). That Bizarro could be smarter ala the Smallville version, but young and easily swayed like a child.

I think Andy C. is doing something about Bizarro and Bizarro world in general. But Henshaw looks promising.
