I aint takin' a seat, I keep on my feet 'n' on my guard. I don't like strange places, and this was defiately strange. Then again, there aint much I do like, especially round here...

It doesnt take long the the Professor to show up.

"Porfessor I think this is a bad idea, Im getting some seriously bad vibes off this guy."

"Warren he came to us for help, we can't just turn him away."

"Wait until ya meet him."

I open the door for the Prof. and follow him inside.

 

[Cyrusbales]

I stifle a smile and turn to the three psychics.


"What's the status?"

All three of them have there eyes closed, there concentrating as hard as they can.

"I see..."
"Hate and"
"Fear."
"I also hear seagulles."
"And the sound of water lapping against the shore."
"And a bridge, huge and made orange metal."

"Oh jesus, This guy's already in San Fransisco."

"You think so Cap?"

"Yeah infact..."

I pick up the book that Banner was reading and show Tony that the author lives in San Fransisco.

"I'm sure of it."

"Whatever you say fearless leader."

"So Tony, What kind of buisness meeting where you in?"

"I'm starting a resturant chain, Tony Stark's House Of Ribs. gonna be huge."

"I bet, Okay people San Fransisco it is. Let's move out."

GAMBIT

The chopper decends from above, Cap and Gambit board, along with a selection of S.H.I.E.L.D officers.

"I here dey got lotsa bar's der? How come he aint goin' to Vegas, much more ma scene"

Eventually the door opens up, the kid's wheeling in a bald guy. I guess this is the professor. He holds out a hand for me to shake, I aint going for it.

"I hear you can help people recover lost memories, I figure you can help me out"

I wonder if he's already reading my mind, he probably knows all about the weapon in my jacket and the list of corpses I've left behind me in the past few months...

Tony whizzes by the chopper and comes on my commlink.

"So Cap, you want me haul some ass and try to search the area near the bay bridge?"

"No Tony, we need you at full power when we get there, piggy back on some other chopper."

He flys off towards one of the helicopter flying next to ours.

"So Gambit, since Tony's joining us I think you need a commlink."

I tap one of the soldiers on the soldier and ask him, he heads to the front of the chopper and returns with a small round device.

"Put that in you ear and we can talk to each other for almost a thousand miles."

The helicopter hovers in the air as Tony flys off to look for Banner.

"I'll send back word as soon as I find him."

After about ten minutes he comes on the air.

"Alright I have found Banner, He's about a mile off from your current location."

The chopper takes off and hovers over a street.

"Okay let's go."

I jump out and land on the street, Tony lands next to me with a thump, Hank grows inside the chopper and steps down while Jan shrinks and hovers over all our heads in the air.

"Let's go Gambit."

To grab his attention, and to well.....piss him off really, Gambit takes a deck of cards in each hand, and lets out a flutter of glowing cards from his vantage point on the building.

He runs at full speed and I meet him with my shield out, I flip Hulk with my indestructible shield and he lands in Hank Pym's out stretched hands.

Hulk breaks out of his grip and breaks Hank's right ring finger.

"OHH."

Hank shrinks back down to normal size in pain.

Tony flies in and sprays Gambit with some kind of liquid polymer, like spray on clothes.

"Wha yer have that for? Spend a lotta time wid naked men mon ami?"

Trying to find something else to charge, he notices a pile of rubble that's been created in the fight, he proceeds by hurling a series of exploding rocks at the angry beast...

"God, I think I'm going to be sick. Hulk sized boggers are gross."

After a few seconds Hulk starts to cry out in pain and spasm, his figure growing smaller and back to Banner form.

I shove the card into one of the belt pouches as soon as he says that.

"The less I think about it, the better."

Gambit walks off into the newly rising sun and I turn to my teammates and the other soldiers.

"Okay I want Banner contained and I want him pumped full of that Hulk antidote every hour on the hour."

IC Max Dillon: Electro
Season II - Part Eight

As Max Dillon already knew, Norman Osborn was a hard man to get in touch with. Luckily, Max had a number he could call in order to set up a meeting with Osborn. It was one of the perks of being Osborn's ex-accomplice. Max had called the number and was given an address. Turns out it was a small Oscorp office. He was told to be there by four. He was there at three.

After his arrival, Max was led into a waiting room deep within the facility. Though the building looked small, the elevator ride was rather lengthy, prompting Max to assume that this meeting was taking place far underground. His escorts were armed guards, and every second of the trip was being captured by dozens of security cameras.

The waiting room was steel-walled and sterile. Very uncomfortable. Max waited until about 4:30, at which point he was led down a long corridor by another squad of armed guards.

"Feels like prison." Max mused.

At the end of the hall was a tall wooden door, and behind it was a lush office. Norman Osborn sat behind a huge desk reading something off a computer screen.

"Hello Max." He said, without taking his eyes off the screen. "What do you need?"

Max nervously sat himself down in a leather chair facing the desk.

"Hey Norman," He began. "How ya been?"

Osborn sighed impatiently. "Something I can help you with, Max?" Again, he did not take his eyes off the screen.

"Uh... yeah. Yeah, I think so." Max stammered. He felt very, very small.

Osborn sighed again. "Well? Let's have it."

"Uh... okay. Yeah... well, my powers have been kinda... uh, going out on me lately and I was hoping that maybe you could... you know, like, fix me."

Osborn turned to him and lowered his gaze. "You're losing your powers?"

"Uh... well, yeah. I mean, that girl from the Fantastic Four told me that I was. She said --"

"Fantastic Four?" Norman said, surprised. "I believe you're talking about Dr. Susan Storm. She's highly credible. What was she doing examining you? What did she say?"

"Well, she told me that I was losing my powers because my body didn't want them anymore. And uh... she said it might go as far as killing me."

Osborn sat back in his chair and rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Killing you? That seems unlikely. Why would the body respond so violently? What a strange diagnosis... perhaps reports of her intelligence have been exaggerated..."

"Well, actually..." Max began, attempting to choose his words carefully. "She said I had, like... a very good healing ability. So good that it was kind of getting out of control... you know?"

Osborn sat up straight and looked Max square in the eye. "Healing ability? No human can have a healing ability that advanced. The only way would be..." A look of amused comprehension washed across his face. "Are you a mutant Max? Is that what she told you?"

Max fidgeted in his chair and looked away from Osborn's gaze. "Well... no. I mean... yeah, but... she said maybe the experiments that gave me my electric powers woke up some mutant ability. And now it's gone nuts and it's gonna kill me."

Osborn sat back and stared into space again. "How strange... What a complex set of circumstances... I almost wonder if it couldn't be stabilized by introducing --"

"But, I don't understand..." Max interjected. "Wouldn't this healing thing know that killing me is bad? I mean, if I really have that power, then I'm better than regular people, and wouldn't it also know that--"

"What did you say, boy?" Osborn asked menacingly.

Electro spoke fearfully. "N-n-no Mr. Osborn, I just meant that - that--"

"You believe you are superior to the average man, Maxwell? Superior to me?"

"N-no sir. I mean, no way! All - all I was sayin' was - was that--"

"Let me explain something to you, you insignificant worm! I am more powerful than you could ever dream of becoming, and I was not granted these powers by means of a horrendous birth defect as you were! I earned everything I am! I AM SUPERIOR!"

"B-but N-Norman, look! I-I just was thinking that my--"

"ENOUGH! I am not interested in helping you, or curing you, or experimenting on you... I have far more important things to do than waste my time with some two-bit mutant theif. Now get out of my sight."

Electro was silent for a moment before he blurted out one last plea. "Norman please! I'm going to die! I have no one else! Just help me and I swear I'll do anything you want! I'll give my whole life to you, just--"

"Get. Out. Now." Osborn muttered, supressing a terrible rage.

Max Dillon rode the elevator up to ground level in dejected silence. All the while, a loop of thoughts going through his mind.

"I'm going to kill them. I'm going to get them. I'll make them never forget..."
