I bought several of the Titan Hero Spider-man figures in the various costumes that were produced. I've only watched about 1/3 of the episodes of the show and the figures have the basic 5 POA, which is a huge turn-off for me. So why do I buy the show's merch? Because it's Spider-man. We're just as powerless to stop ourselves as you are.

I haven't purchased any of the figures, so I can't speak for those, but I own things like mugs, tumblers, throw pillows, backpacks, etc. Those are really well-made pieces of merchandise. If a piece of Spider-Man merchandise looks good, I will buy it. Pretty much everyone knows that I'm not a fan of the TASM franchise, but I actually do own some merch from it, because some really unique things came from that franchise (like the OPI and Revlon nail polish collections; I collected every bottle, because hey, how many chances will I have to get Spider-Man nail polish?).

If Spider-Man is on it, it immediately attracts my interest.

At least that's only three outside of his companions in Shield. In the USM comics, I don't think there was anyone left that didn't know his identity. His mask was off more times than I could count.

I lost interest for a long time after the silly episode where Spidey was hiding Hulk in his bedroom. I thought the show might even be too stupid to appeal to kids at that point.

Bittersweet is the perfect way to describe it. At least the merch looks good though, right? I dislike the show, but the animation and character designs are at least really nice to look at, so the merch looks good. The stuff I do own is well-made, too. It's quality stuff.

There have been quite a few wonderful animated shows that have gotten the boot because the toys didn't sell. Spectacular Spider-Man and the Thundercats reboot (which was fan-freaking-tastic, if I do say so myself) are the most tragic and upsetting casualties for me.

I got the 31" Ultimate Spidey. I didn't have the space for it, but I couldn't resist. There's also some new figs that are 6" or 7", I believe. They don't quite have the detail of Marvel Legends, but they look good and are much cheaper.

When a show has two of Marvel's marquee characters and still produces something so mind-numbing, that's a spectacular failure.

That is an interesting spin on this show, makes me glad they will go on with a 4th season, cause I'm interested in seeing how Flash and Cho will handle the info, particularly after both having an uneasy relationship with the Peter Parker side.

Most of the folks who saw his face did not have a name to match to the face in the comics, makes it both sadder and better about his ID.
Death of Spider-Man arc and the event mini that followed stated Peter's identity became public knowledge after Peter died[blackout]/went on hibernation to heal[/blackout].

Think about this: it's possible that this show might end up having more total episodes than any other super hero cartoon in American history. Superfriends had 109 episodes, and if there is a USM season 5, it will eclipse that. That boggles my mind.

The old Teenage Mutant Ninja/Hero Turtles show eclipsed Superfriends by far and beyond, reaching 194 episodes.
The second TMNT series is 7 seasons, 156 episodes long.
I don't dare imagine USM series outliving the second Ninja Turtles series.

I didn't think USM deserved a second season, much less a third, yet here we are about to enter a 4th. At this point, I surely wouldn't be surprised at all if the show went on to pass TMNT.

Here's my reasoning...USM is tied in with Avengers Assemble. Even though Loeb has changed his statement several times, he did say that Avengers EMH was cancelled in favor of AA to be more in line with the Avengers live-action movies. So...as long as they keep making Avengers movies, AA will most likely stick around and since it's mated with USM, by default, that should probably stick around also. Just my opinion of course.

ah, haha. I meant the episodes on TV. Someone up thread mentioned that Aunt May knew Peter was Spidey.

They've showed like 16 episodes on Disney XD, but still like 10 left in the bag.

Wikipedia says they are starting the Avengers Academy episodes in July.

And I just checked the Google Play and they have just the stuff that has aired in the US. It just feels weird the way they are airing the episodes. Not as weird as Cartoon Network tho.

ya uk and other international markets for some reason have aired most or all of 3rd season for what i know. I havent seen most of it myself yet either. I only gotten through the spiderverse 4 parter and not the rest.

I don't think it helps, but it probably doesn't matter as long as they are selling merchandise.

I guess, the question is, if I'm a 10 year old kid, am I searching to see if there are unaired Spider-Man episodes?

They are calling the next season "Vs the S6," so I'd imagine that will probably be the main focus. Or at least maybe another 4-parter like the Spider-verse.

Good lord, they referenced Spider-Man 2. Doc Ock was holding Aunt May and everything crawling up a building and dropped her only for Peter to save her at the last minute.

I had a quick moment where I expected her neck to snap Gwen Stacy style because of the way he caught her. But of course in a Disney cartoon that's not happening.
