I heard the ginger-hatred comes from the animosity the English had with the (ever so ginger) Irish and Scottish. The only reason we also have it here in America is because it carried over the Atlantic along with every other anglocentric aspect of American culture.

Eh, I don't know. I like a little bit of change. Panel for panel stuff is cool in theory, but I just can't get in to it as much. It's like, whats the point? May as well just read the comic again. And you wont have to deal with possible hammy acting f**king up the dialog you oh so loved.

so Im watching this horrid straight to video version of Moby Dick with Gabrielle from Xena and Barry Bostwick....it is craptacular but Bostwick does a pretty good Ahab....Id buy him as Ahab in a proper adaptation

Yep I'm fine with tv shows and movies changing some things from the comic books so long as they don't change things too much or change the characters too much
