Oh did they lose? haha In your face Hound! [/slightly immature]

We don't lynch people here in the states. We can't even say the word lynch without Jesse Jackson coming out and marching.

I know people aren't happy, but again... I haven't been following lately. There's too much on for me Super 15s have started, the NBA Playoffs are coming up and the NCAA tourney's in full swing.

And at the moment my elation for my 'Zona Wildcats bundling out Duke in the Sweet Sixteen FAR outweighs any disappointment in a cricket result which I didn't watch, nor had any interest in in the first place.

I love the hate for Duke, I especially love the insanity of college sports. People get so passionate about a University when they never attended that University and honestly had no chance of ever doing it.

Cricket, Baseball, Football(Soccer).....these are things that suck.

One of the main reasons why I don't really follow College Basketball. I've never been one for school spirit. Especially schools I never even been to.

Cricket doesn't suck... there's just higher priority things happening.

If I watched all the sport I had any interest in I'd have to strap myself into a chair Ozymandias style with a dozen TVs on various sports.

There's a time and a place for soccer and it happens every 4 years... just like my interest in Handball...

I think Australia has the same view on soccer than the US does. I mean, you guys have the A-League but honestly, how big is that over there?

It's probably bigger here than the US, because of our ties with Engermaland.

But it's the 4th football code to me... and I say that as someone who's had enough Australian Rules football to last me a lifetime (due to exposure, family playing the sport) and who looks down on Rugby League with that snide toffy arsed look of contempt.

A League is pretty big in Adelaide and Melbourne though...

Bigger than ours....

And A-League's a goldmine for lots of hidden talent to be exploited by other more established European leagues.

Cahill, Viduka and that dude who plays for Liverpool comes to mind...What's his name?

Actually, I've always liked American keeper Tim Howard. Guy's as consistent and brave as Keepers come. That and he plays for Everton which automatically makes him awesome.

A friend of mine told me A-Rules Football has a higher-than-average injury rate and is generally a quick way to be forced into early retirement.

Interesting....:awesome:

Except Craig Moore seems to have found a Lazarus Pit...

Seriously, it's a damn shame quality European teams didn't give Craig Moore a look over when he was younger.

QLD had a piss-poor keeper and no attacking ability whatsoever, yet Moore was able to keep that team in games by being BY FAR the best defender in the country... hell he still was doing that as recently as two years back

Plebian degenerate:cmad:

What? It's f**king boring. All of em. Watching these sports is time better spent doing better things, like staring at a wall or alphabetizing your spaghetti Os.

I'd also like to throw in Hockey, La Crose, Polo, Nascar (pretty much all car racing in general), Horse Racing, Dog Racing.

Stuff that isn't as good as people like to think it is. MMA and Boxing. Things best seen in 5 to 10 second highlight video's (and pretty much every sport really), otherwise it's 15 to 20 minutes of dudes rolling around on the floor or standing and hugging each other. (Which is just boring without ass play, I mean really.) American Football(Or as I prefer to call it, American Rules Rugby) falls into this category as well. (To a certain extent.)

The good stuff is Basketball, Women's Tennis, Women's Volleyball (Beach and indoor......because the uniforms make their asses look amazing. :o) And that's about it.

This is all thats shown of A-league in the UK and Ireland.
A weekly soccer Am comedy Ant & Dec sketch followed by Robbie Fowler stories and Aussie stereotype phrases

Hmmm...I'd add female gymnastics to the list of girls who look great in uniform in sports. I watched the Kazakhstan Youth Olympics team perform and I wish I was young again. Most were attractive. Those who weren't were gifted gymnist. It was awesome.

Yes, but I tend to feel weird watching due to the jail bate aspect.

Hence the "I wish I was young" aspect.

Anyway its hard to see gymnist over 19. Most have like a shelf life of about 6-7 years or so I'm told. Most become trainers/instructors/coordinators in their late twenties to thirties.

nubs is completely talking out of his ass on sports. basketball only doesn't suck while you're personally playing it. i too like soccer about once every four years. baseball is good for cheap beer outdoors in the middle of the week. i've never seen a cricket(non-darts) game
