I'd imagine that the farm is pretty well stocked with ammo. Rednecks love their guns.

It could be Otis that stock piled ammo for the farm once s*** got started.

I was bummed that the guy who played Rene from True Blood only lasted one episode. :( I really like that guy.

Really liked that last song at the end too. It's The Regulator by Clutch.

You'd have to be deaf and blind not to notice these guys were bad news. Who the hell tells someone they're looking for shelter while telling them they need ***** cause they hadn't had any in a while? The pissing right there in front of everyone? Hello, what's up with that?
Exactly. They were dumbasses and they severely underestimated Rick which I'll admit I had done up until that moment. Lol needless to say I now take back what I said. The man ghosted them!

His cop instincts clicked in to high gear in that spot.

I like how they addressed the fact that Daryl was only down to one or two arrows for his crossbow. I was beginning to wonder if they would show him either making some or trying to find more.

suddenly rick turns bad...what the ****? pretty lame..
how is he bad? The guy pulled a gun on Rick, and the other guy was insinuating that he is hasn't had p**** for a long time and he is ready to rape.

You wanted rick to take them back to the farm.......... hell that fat guy was peeing in front of them? These are guys that you do not want in your house, and they were ready to kill.

If you mean bad as in "bad a$$" because of how he handled a gun....... well........ he is a sheriff

Defending himself makes him a bad guy?

yeah...don't feed the troll.

lmao people looking for hospitality don't fish for information the way that guy did.

If this group of people were or are benevolent they definitely sent the wrong guys to make contact. The first thing that sprung in to my head as soon as I saw them was that they were thugs.

Rick didn't seem "nice" or "friendly". He was on defense while talking to them.

Not only that, he started a shoot out. Probably 5-10 guys outside...have you seen the clips for next week?

The conversation started out friendly enough but as it went on you could see Rick was talking less and less. He was realizing that these guys were fishing for information and probably not good news. Rick is a trained police officer, I think he knows how to read people.

Why in the world would you just automatically start blurting out information to people that you just met 5 minutes ago? You have no idea what their intentions are.

The scene was awesome and Rick handled the situation exactly like someone with his background would, given the circumstances.

the ending was great, but everything prior was pretty weak.

Totally agree with this. You have to be extremely naive to just take every one at face value in this new world.

Good on, Rick. Those guys came across as scum almost from the get go. Like Kirkman's been saying all along, other humans are more a danger to them than the zombies and that's really the first time we've seen it on the show outside of Merle in the pilot.

Rick's cop radar kicked in the minute they started asking them too many questions about their "accommodations", supplies, and women. He didn't "start" anything. The one guy drew a gun on him for pete's sake and was about to shoot.

I thought the stuff with Andrea and then Shane was good. Andrea with the rapier to the one zombies head, and then all non-nonchalantly picking up a walker's arm that fell out of the truck was great stuff. Really shows where she's heading as a character.

Shane, too. Guy's been right about pretty much everything all along, yet no one likes him because of how he goes about it. That scene where he was rinsing the dirt off of Carol just about made me squirm. Also his conversation with Rick basically setup the entire rest of the season for those two.

Here's the other thing. When, in the entirety of this show, have we seen strangers or groups of strangers greet each other with any thing other than suspicion at first? The world as it is in the show makes everyone hyper-skeptical of others. They have to be in survival mode.

Yup, those two are headed on a collision course. :woot:
