and really if you were trying to think of safe places to go would you think Prison? even in a zombie infestation.

Safe place full of Murders, druggies and rapists...I don't think anyone would think hey all those guys died and aren't just chilling eating some meat loaf or something
You think of it because you know thats where they are headed but would they?....when ever someone says where they would go if the dead walked how many did you know who said prison before this comic?

Being that they've basically been living out of cars and in tents to this point (short of the what, one night actually in the farmhouse?), I think it'll be looked upon rather warmly.
