Just saw the Talking Dead, wish they had used the Big Tiny Corpse they made. Looked gruesome

One thing does bug me, Rick tells the inmate

"far as we can see at least half the population has been wiped out..."

Half? All known living people wouldn't fill a plane.

More like 99.99999999999% have been wiped out.

It's probably more than half, but I don't think it's that much. This isn't The Stand where the story takes place all over the US and there are only a few dozen living characters. We've never seen what's going on outside Georgia.

A few episodes back we met a group from Philly, made it clear the rest of the country is in the same shape. There are enormous herds of walkers roving the country, devouring everyone in sight. In nearly year, the main characters have come across only a handful of people.

Seems safe to say it's not much better anywhere else in the country, save possibly Hawaii or maybe Alaska.

Yeah, but these guys wanted to take their land and rape the women, so they could have been lying.

Anyway, great episode. Mazzara doesn't seem to be lying when he said this season would hit the ground running.

It's official: Rick has become Shane, not that it's a bad thing.

True but Rick has become Shane reluctantly while Shane enjoyed being the way he was.

Ehhh.... A more refined Shane. Towards the end there, the dude was clearly losing his **** instead of actually being an effective leader. Rick's just doing what needs to be done.

That prisoner was clearly trying to kill him.

Shane was just an *******, who killed innocent people (Otis).

Anyone else chuckled at the "I'm not the best mother in the world" line? It had to be something for us intentionally. lol

I laughed heartily when she said, "We need to make a place for Carl to do....whatever he does these days." Good job keeping tabs on the kiddo, Mom. :whatever:

i was expecting it too. Looks like TDawg is Tyreese :(

im expecting them to merge his backstory now. :cmad:

I've now given up hope for Tyreese. I like T-Dog a lot, but not at the expense of Tyreese.

People thought Big Tiny was going to be Tyreese? People still think T-Dog is Tyreese? When Tyreese is in the goddamn show they'll goddamn call him Tyreese. Goddamn.

LOOK, EVERYONE! IT'S A BLACK GUY!!! TYREESE! TYREESE!!! IS THAT YOU?!

:o

Rick is realizing Shane was right about alot of things.

But if he was completely like Shane, all those prisoners would've been wiped out the minute they said they had food and tried to act tough.

He killed Otis to save himself. The act also saving Carl was just a happy accident for him.

I thought Shane was awesome until his Lori lust took him over.

it's been like seven months, i would hope the only people who don't know T-Dogs back story, are the fans watching, i wouldn't mind an episode showing how they lived during that gap, everyday is an adventure for the group, so I imagine that time period was epic, new people met and killed/died along the way? ooooh future walking dead game taking place during that time?? :cwink:

I'm thinking that [blackout]The Governor's people are scoping the prison. And knowing that there's a pregnant woman inside will be a very dangerous piece of information for him to have.[/blackout]

That's probable, but it's not implausible that there are other folks holing up in the prison, too.

Naw I wouldn't say Rick has become Shane. Like Sawyer said Rick is just doing what needs to be done. He doesn't enjoy it and even regrets it, but he just realizes it's necessary for the group's survival. Shane was damn near a sociopath by the time he was offed.

On a different note, I wonder what the ratings for this ep will be like since AMC is back on Dish? It managed to get near 11 million last week without Dish after all...though since this isn't the premiere maybe only the drop off in viewers will be less.

I don't think Shane enjoyed hurting or killing people.

He just didn't lose an ounce of sleep over it.

Is that the definition of a sociopath? Not during a zombie apocalypse.

The psychotic grin on his face after leaving Otis behind says otherwise.

And if you think for one second that pointing his gun at Rick didn't give him a woody, you're fooling yourself. :o

Rick is (reluctantly) doing what needs to be done to ensure the safety of his group.

Shane was a bloodthirsty raving psychopath ready to blow away anyone who looked at him sideways by the end, and his unhinged, trigger-happy behavior was hurting the group, not protecting it.

I got a pal who is upset because apparently the actress playing Michonne really dissed the European broadsword, and talked how much better the katana is.

When actually a European broadsword would be great for killing walkers, since it gives much greater range and stabs as opposed to cutting (designed for instant kill). Just saying.

Good luck finding one in Georgia though.
