Wow they are not holding back this season are they? I am kind of disappointed that they did the prisoners in 1 episode. There was some good stories in the comic while they were around.

I feel like the group could have used another brother to keep T-Dogg company while the others have their drama.

Then they could both look at each other and be like "SAY WHAAAAT!?" and "THAT IS WACK!"

My brother and I can't stand T-Dogg (mostly the name, it's such lazy writing ehh).

Everytime we watch an episode together and he says a line or has a moment I say, "My man! T-Dogg! Moment to Shine #__! Season _, Episode _!"

I think it's just a case where there's just not enough time in the season to open up a bunch of new story/character lines with the prisoners. So instead they were the episode's zombie-fodder, and also used to show what kind of man Rick has become.

There's so much going on with the prison cast, and a ton right around the corner with the Andrea/Michonne duo... Something was going to get cut out.

Oh and is it just me, or does it feel like half of Rick's line so far this season have involved him shouting "Daryl!" :woot:

Rick sure did deal with that problem faster than the Shane one thankfully lol.

Also the prisoners going all gangland beat down on the Zombies made me lol....Rick, T-dog and Daryl should have ditched them at that point.

I like that Rick and Daryl have really become a better and more effective duo than Rick and Shane ever were. Each of them has really got the other man's back.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Daryl picking Rick back up after the prisoner tossed the zombie at him.

It's the same guy that handcuffed your brother on the top of a building but he's past it now.

Isnt this season 16 episodes?

Daryl's realizing that his self-worth among these people and fighting by Rick's side is greater than it ever was when Merle was in his life.

In a way, I see Daryl and Hershel as the superior Shane and Dale. Hershel is a moral man, but isn't stuck in his old ways, like Dale was, brow-beating and whining when tough **** had to be done. Daryl is someone who totally has Rick's back, and isn't just waiting for him to turn around so he can stick a knife in it and **** his wife again.

I cant wait to see Daryl's personal struggle when he finds out Merle is alive. He'd have to decide between family and how close he's gotten to this group

I'm sure that's going to come into play with Merle back in the picture. Daryl will have to choose between his family bond and his loyalty to Rick.

It looks like we had the same thought at the same time.:woot:

Absolutely. It'll be exciting to see how all that plays out. :woo:jedi

I bet that Daryl meets his brother apprehensively at first but gets closer to him as brothers do after a while apart and then I think he may realize how much of a monster Merle truly is. Hell, he probably knows it already but just thinks he's dead. I will say this much, I love this show and I've always said that I never understood the unbelievable hype it gets from people but the second half of last season and now these last two eps have really shown me how amazing this show can be when it wants to be. I wish all my favorite shows had a Talking Dead style recap of every episode each week. Then again, it would mean that tv would be taking over even more of my life than it already does. On Sundays my DVR records close to 8 hours of tv then 3 on Monday 2 on Tuesday and 4 on Wednesday. I gotta ****ing problem yo lol

Yea, I'm curious about Daryl's loyalties as well.

I think he was loyal to Merle and looked up to him because he was his big brother, and from their "interactions" when he was hallucinating in the woods, I don't think he really "liked" him as a person.

Like, he loved him, but didn't like him.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Dale was annoying at times. I mean, he meant well, and stuck firmly to his sense of what was right and wrong, but he just got too preachy sometimes, and I agreed with Andrea that it really wasn't for him to take her choice to stay at the CDC away from her.

Same way with my brother

I think Merle will be to Daryl what Shane was to Rick. This was the guy you were closest to before the world turned to ****, but their situation being what it is now, the true colors start showing.

Merle will either be killed by Daryl or be the one to kill Daryl.

I mean for the most part, I enjoyed his presence, and his super righteous side only really came out (apart from the Randall situation) with Shane, who deserved that **** anyway.

But him throwing a fit over the Randall situation... it was a bad situation to be in, but something needed to be done. You can't keep him prisoner forever. You give him some freedom, and there's every chance he might run back to his people. What can be done? Dale wasn't making things easier.
