Honestly, I'm glad the show's Governor seems a bit more subdued and subtle to begin with. It'll have more of an effect when you see the monster within. Whereas comics Governor showed himself to be the sadistic, blood-thirsty mother****er we know him to be by, like, page 3.

Good trailer, definitely has got me pumped! Hope Michonne and The Governor don't lose their touch though.

This season really looks packed with action and intensity, and Morrisey looks great and he really pulled off a convincing southern accent, he got the chops anyway so I wasn't worried.

I'm just curious to know the reason for the change on Andrea and Michonne being in Woodbury before Rick and the group, it seems like nothing major will happen to them besides being prisoners but that could be the trailer not revealing anything else.

I don't like the decision to [blackout]bring back Merl. There is no realistic way that a man who amputates his own hand on a roof of a building with zombies pounding down the door is going to survive. I liked the mystery, I liked being pretty sure that he was dead but never quite sure. It adds to the uncertain environment of that world. To bring him back at this point it just feels like silly fan service. Plus if the trailer reveal is any indication they are going completely over the top with it which is another minus.[/blackout]

Other than that, this season looks great.

Beth or whoever she is bites the dust. Kirkman says someone dies very early on in the season and he shed a tear, and she doens't appear to be in the trailer much other than the beginning.

Kirkman says someone dies early on, and Rick in the trailer says blood was spilled taking the prison.

My guess?

[BLACKOUT]T-Dawg gets his leg bit and they try and amputate it, and he then dies from the infection. In the Talking Dead last weekend, Kirkman was asked if a person would survive if a bitten appendage were amputated quickly enough, and he DEFINITELY didn't want to answer the question. My guess? Because they address that situation "early on." [/BLACKOUT]

Nice trailer! Though it always makes me crazy when they change things drastically from comic to tv. I know to expect it but i have it in my head a certain way and it is hard to change and it looks like they changed plenty about the prison arc.

I think they did a pretty good job of keeping who dies under wraps in the trailer, seem to see most all characters spread throughout the trailer, pre and post entrance of the prison. Wonder how much time time passed from last season til now, Ricks 5 O'clock shadow is put to shame by Hershels barbarian beard he has going plus Carl is like a foot taller. Also as much as I was happy Shane was finally dealt with, I think his character on the show would have been fun to watch dealing with the Prison and Woodbury.

Shane would probably ****ing join The Governor.

I'm glad he was dealt with, and I'm glad it went down the way it did. Rick being the one to do it was entirely necessary for the series.
