I wonder if Tomas and Andrew are going to be butt buddies like Dexter and Andrew were in the comics.

Interesting...thanks for sharing that. I wasn't sure who was what when the prisoners showed up.

Wow....I feel the half way point is going to show how the prisoners finally react to the new presence in their....home.

Again, thanks for sharing.

Does anyone who has read the comics not see Carol's demise forthcoming? She seeme really EAGER in this last episode. The addition of new men is probably going to set off some bells in her head.

What, the halfway point of the season? I don't think it'll take that long. I'm betting **** starts getting real within the next couple of episodes.

The one that said "Holy ****" is Axel.

Which is funny, because that guy is probably about half Comics Axel's size. :hehe:

The guy who said "Holy Sh**" was Axel. :woot:

Here's the other 4, You follow me?:

http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/10/14/the-walking-dead-meet-the-spoiler-glen-mazzara/

Tomas (played by Nick Gomez)
“Tomas is the leader. Tomas is the alpha male. He’s the one who is in charge and he is the one who has set the rules and he did before the apocalypse, he’s been doing that since, and suddenly, here’s Rick telling him, ‘This isn’t even your prison any more.’ Tomas is not going to stand for that.”

Andrew (played by Markice Moore)
“Andrew is really Tomas’ right hand man. These guys are really the ones who have been intimidating Axel and Oscar.”

Axel (played by Lew Temple)
“Axel is a great character. He’s someone who was probably a two-bit criminal who finds himself in a bigger mess. He’s probably happy to be freed by Rick because he realizes he’s not as cutthroat as Tomas and Andrew.”

Oscar (played by Vincent Ward)
“Oscar is another guy who has had to go along with Tomas’ rule.”

Big Tiny (played by Theodus Crane)
“Big Tiny is the muscle of the group. The idea was that all of these guys together are a formidable force. These are hardened convicts who have survived living together for almost a year, almost in the same way that Rick and his group have. So this is a surprising force for Rick to come up against. And they are formidable. And they are scary. And they are dangerous. Just as dangerous as Rick’s group.”

Oh **** yes. :awesome: Yeah I was unsure because he did look younger.

It's been a while since I've read the prison arc, but Andrew and Tomas were the other ones in the comic.

Which one was the serial killer who killed Hershel's kids and tried to kill Andrea? Because if he's here then HOT DAMN I'm already loving this season.

I think the show is going to put us in a lull...the first few episodes should be zombie killing all out to secure the prison, but once people get settled...then there will be a big event. That seems to be the way with TWD.

That was Thomas. From the way they're described by Mazarra, it sounds like Tomas will basically be the show's version of Dexter, and who knows who'll end up being Thomas...

That would be pretty interesting if they go that way. Or they could just pull a change and shift it to one of the other ones. I wouldn't mind that.

Because if Rick does kill Thomas like he did to Dexter in the comic, then man oh man. :woot: That might change for a slightly different idea on the living not killing the living thing but it would be just as interesting. Because it addresses the idea of Rick doing an inhuman act of killing someone who has also committed inhuman acts.

Man, I LOVED the episode last night. The only thing that I was disappointed in [blackout](besides what happened to Herschel)[/blackout] was that I thought it was going to be two hours long when I was looking at the guide. :(

If anyone missed the episode last night or are like me and wanted to watch it again for free, it is available right now on amctv; http://www.amctv.com/the-walking-dead/videos/episode-301-the-walking-dead

It works for Canadians (which is awesome as they usually pull the "only available for Americans" BS), but I have no idea if it does for international viewers.

I believe the song that Herschel asked Beth to sing first was Come back Paddy Reilly, an Irish song (he just said Paddy Reilly on the show). If anyone is interested in listening to it here it is:

I was interested because I wanted to know why Maggie didn't want Beth to sing it (besides the mention of her not singing it since her mother died).

In the previews for next week it shows someone (Daryl by the looks of it) standing in front of the cross/grave. [blackout]As Daryl doesn't really have an attachment to anyone but Carol I fear that she will be the one that dies.[/blackout] But if it comes down to her or Herschel, I hope she goes first.

As for Carol I liked her exchange with Daryl. It was nice to see her with a different attitude, rebutting her claim last year that Rick was dangerous and her sexual innuendos towards Daryl.

Daryl: I will go down first.
Carol: Even better!

Something that bothered me was not trying to kill as many zombies at the fence before going inside, as why waste bullets if you can kill them safely behind the fence but I guess it was to not draw in too many through the inner fence.

Good insights.

I think the thing was with the gates was time was of the essence. They needed to get inside and close the gates before more walkers overran the area they were trying to take.

One thing that bugged me was Daryl being surprised that the riot gear one of the zombies wore stopped his arrow.

He's usually depicted to be fairly savvy (when it comes to killing).

I thought the first minute or so of that was so stupid lol. Like, really? Shoot it in the helmet THAT'LL WORK! That was one thing that just made me think WTF

Daryl's crossbow seemed more awkward than anything in all his tight roomed fight scenes, he needs a spiked bat or double machetes for those face to face fights. Also I'd have no prob wearing riot gear that is filled with walker soup, run it under a tap and protect my vitals.

Surprised no one has gotten their hands on a serious machine gun like the M60.

I noticed they had some new guns, including what looked like an M16 (maybe it was a civilian AR-15)

Automatic weapons wouldn't be efficient in a zombie apocalypse. Too much wasted ammo.

I liked the riot gear zombies, it was an interesting new thing to come up against. The plus side was they couldn't really bite you, at least.

The leg amputation and the walker's face tearing off with his helmet was gross even for this show.

Lori still looks way too skinny to be having a baby. Though the question of what would happen if her baby died inside her, then turned into a walker still inside her gave us a new super-creepy scenario to think about.

Hope [BLACKOUT]Herschel[/BLACKOUT] makes it. And Lori better hope too, or she'll be even more up **** creek than she already is.

Most abrupt ending ever.

Want to see The Governor.

Well, according to one of the interviews or Behind the scenes vids, Carol has been learning some stuff from him, so if they do lose him (I don't think they will), I don't think Lori is completely ****ed.

It needed to be done, and sooner rather than later. You can only have that annoying little dog biting at Rick's ankles for so long before he figures out that Shane's a liability, rather than an asset.

Speaking of irritating characters, does anybody really like Lori?

Really glad Shane is gone. He was annoying as ****.

Well yeah, but he provided some great interaction between characters. Let's face it, without him, the second season could've been much worse.

Still glad that he's out though, the group seems -judging by this first episode- much more cohesive and strong.

It's not automatic that a pregnant girl gets fat, for some women it only effects (obviously) the belly.

I actually semi-felt for her last night. Maybe it helped that she wasn't barking out instructions to people she had no business giving instructions to. And not being a ***** to Rick.

If anyone's in a GIFin' mood, could I get an avatar of Carl shooting the zombie at the beginning? Like the close-up shot before he pulls the trigger, the zombie getting shot, and Carl's face after?
