The Walking Dead "The Walking Dead" General Stuff & Thaaaangs Thread - Part 10

It could be. They have had people inexplicably escape certain death before with some stretches of logic. Like when Tyreese went hand to hand with some zombies and killed them, without getting bit or how previously Glenn was able to escape a walker attack despite being injured and pinned down after his previous fight with Nicholas.

It feels so much like a lazy way to make everyone question his survival.

Seeing how the comics keeps going (although I haven't read it for a while, stopped around issue 120 or something), this could literally go to 10 seasons +

So, I haven't noticed many people talk about this, but ...

Has Rick been bitten? He definitely injured one of his hands. Maybe this is a way to incorporate him losing his hand finally (which was in the comics)? I know Kirkman said he regretted doing that in the comics, which is why Rick didn't lose his hand in the Season 4 mid-finale ... But maybe he was tricking people so he could save that moment for another time? It's pretty safe to assume that Rick won't be dying right now, and his hand injury could be nothing, but I can't help but speculate a bit!

If/when Glenn survives this, I feel he'll just cruise the rest of the season maybe most of next. I think it will be Carol to go this season, I feel her story has been told, and she is basically a superhero on the show now, her death would be way more shocking than even Daryl at this point I believe.

So ... An open wound right up in a zombie wound? How could he not get infected (I mean, everyone's infected technically, but you know what I mean)?

Granted, this may just be a criticism towards zombie stories in general, but I get a little puzzled at the inconsistencies when it comes to stuff like this. Bites kill you, scratches kill you, drinking water from a well that a zombie was in could kill you ... But slicing your hand open and getting it contaminated in zombie blood can't? Pretty silly, if you ask me (especially if the episode kept emphasizing that Rick's hand was hurt).

I have no problem with that as long as the writing stays as great as it is. :)

I hope they keep the momentum up because this season might be the best one of the series.

It is the best, unlike many others (or rather the very vocal internet minority), I've found the show overall to be really consistently strong with as with every TV show, some storylines inherently more compelling and gripping than others. Not surprising for me as someone who's reading the comics that Alexandria is the best so far.

That + the pacing has been relentless in just three episodes, they seem to have more dough to play with, they're at the top of their game and it's only going to keep getting better.

I think Rick is going to get a serious blood infection from that wound he received from the machete stuck in that walker. He may not necessarily lose the hand, but I can see something coming up in a future episode, they wouldn't show him hurting his hand for no other reason. It most likely wont be enough to kill him and thus make him come back from the dead as a walker, but he'll be near death. Who knows? We'll see. 3 episodes in and Season 6 is really taking off!

I'm not so sure. Abraham was cut by Sasha immediately after she used her knife to kill several walkers, and he was fine. I think they made Rick cut his hand just so he'd be physically hindered, to up the ante and make his struggle to fix the Walker situation and race back to Alexandria more difficult... "The horde is loose, Alexandria is in trouble, strangers are trying to kill me, the RV won't start, I'm getting surrounded by walkers, AND I've only got one good hand. Are you kidding me?!"

We've seen Rick act like an animal in his furosity, but right now, he's literally a scared and WOUNDED animal. That makes him VERY dangerous in both good ways and bad. He's in for a rough ride.

I really don't see Glenn surviving that situation. Yall need to let go. RIP.

There's still hope.:( Don't take it away from us.

So in those ET BTS pics with Jesus, Glen is:

A. Just visiting the set with his Walking Dead wardrobe and props
B. Filming flashback scenes, because future character Jesus will all be flashback scenes
C. He's a Force Ghost, or in this case a Lori in white dress type "Walking Dead Ghost"
D. He's on set, make up, costume et all to throw people off.
E. He actually crawled under the dumpster and survived.

Hollywood Reporter also said that Steven Yeun recently signed a new contract for the show, so yeah..... that + BTS pics, he is alive.

Maybe we'll get a Very Special Episode where Glen delivers pizza to Dale and Tyrese in Heaven.

Apparently, there is a Tumblrina fringe group that still believes that Beth is alive, and that she's with the Wolves. :funny:

Believing that Glenn is alive could never be as delusional as that, especially since there are pieces of evidence that support that claim (like the actor being on set, the contract renewal, debating whether Nathan's body was on top of Glenn, etc.)

Personally, I can believe either outcome for Glenn. Either way, I am anxious to see what happens next, which means that the show is definitely doing something right!

Then I guess the actor that's playing Paul "Jesus" Monroe is just playing Jesus in Heaven, which explains that BTS picture.

This season is packed according to all the filming spoilers out there. Gonna be a good one.

But a bit of a heads up: this Sunday is a Morgan backstory episode with some present day scenes throughout. It's personally written by Gimple, so I expect it to be better than the Grady Memorial and Governor episodes because Lennie James is great.

And it's been renewed for Season 7 with Gimple returning as showrunner. http://www.amc.com/shows/the-walking-dead/talk/2015/10/amc-renews-the-walking-dead-and-talking-dead
