The Walking Dead "The Walking Dead" General Stuff & Thaaaangs Thread - Part 10

Let's do a vote. Who do you guys think will be the next to die? Here are my predictions:

Deanna - Any day now. I seriously thought she was going to open the gate and just let the walkers eat her. Her days appear to be numbered, as she's increasingly (and understandably) despondent.

Deanna's son - I forget this guy's name but he seems like the type who is going to do something stupid and get himself killed. He's not as much of a *****e as his brother was but he's still a bit of a hypocrite and a coward.

Daryl - I know people think he's safe because the character is popular but the most shocking deaths are the fan favorites (just ask Game of Thrones fans). I think he'll survive for a while but I think there's a chance he could go by the end of next season.

Glenn
- IF Glenn survived (and I think he did), I don't think that means that he's safe. I wouldn't put it past the producers to have a big happy reunion with Glenn only to have him clearly killed off a few episodes later. It would be a nice punch to the gut. Though I hope not because I really like Glenn.

Maggie - Conversely, I could also see the producers throwing a curveball here and having Maggie (and her unborn kid)
die at the hands of Negan. That would be pretty shocking, especially if Negan makes Glenn watch. I don't think they'll go this way, but they might.

Aaron's boyfriend
- Again, I forget this guy's name. We haven't seen much of him lately but we got a good bit of Aaron this week and if his boyfriend dies at the hands of the Wolves, that could provide a good bit of solid character growth for Aaron because he will definitely blame himself.

Jessie's oldest son - Is it wrong to include this little prick just because I want to see him die?

Anyway, those are my picks for the Walking Death Pool. I think Deanna is going to die first, followed by her son. Then I'd say Jessie's stupid kid. What do you guys think?

I think the next one to go is Deanna's son.

Deanna's son's name (the one still alive) is Spencer.

Aiden was the other son who died in the supply run when he got impaled by the metal shelf during the explosion and then eaten.

Negan! Negan! NEGAN!

Lucille... how I have missed you.

Don't read the comics but heard people here talking about Negan.

I think JDM is great so look forward to him in the role anyway.

He's Negan? Now we're getting somewheres.

If I had to guess about curve ball deaths, I'd also have Negan [BLACKOUT]kill Daryl instead of Glenn.[/BLACKOUT]

I'd also have Maggie die similar to how Lori did in the comics.

Jesse and her kids can go out the same way they did in the comics if the horde gets in.

I think with the popularity of Daryl he is off limits even if they claim otherwise. It's the same with Rick and Carl. They might deviate from the comics but those two are still alive as far as I know.

What I think will happen is it'll be Carol (since she has lived long past her comic equivalent's live-by date) and that Glenn will live on or die in some other way, assuming he isn't dead, cause we all know that's not happened yet. There is no reason to drag on the is he/isn't he question unless they a) show he is alive for all the false tension or b) show his dead/zombified corpse at some point to give the group an extra shocking moment.

I really want to be wrong on Carol though. There are so few women (and men even) like her on television right now that losing her is IMO a bigger blow than losing Daryl.

My predictions on who's going to get clipped this season

Main cast

Abraham Ford
Morgan
Glen [BLACKOUT]Come on he's not dead yet, and depending on how early they show Negan and leave that iconic scene as a cliff hanger[/BLACKOUT]

Recurring cast

Spencer - Deanna's son
Aaron
Either Ron or Jessie

I don't think Abraham will go yet, though I guess it's possible. They haven't done much with him lately, so it could go either way... they might feel his character has run its course and it's time to off him, or they might be saving him for bigger things after they kill some other people.

I'd say Morgan is safe. I don't think they would have spent so much time building him up to being a regular if they were just going to off him. But I do think his no-kill rule is going to get other cast members killed.

Agreed about Glenn, Spencer, Ron and Jessie. I hope Jessie survives (mainly because Alexandra Breckenridge is the hottest woman on the planet) but even I have to admit her character isn't that interesting at this point. I think (and hope) Aaron is safe.

I'm surprised nobody has b@tched about AMC jumping the shark with all the damn commercials. They're really milking it now along with the mid season hiatus and extended time between seasons. I'll keep watching 'cause I like the show. I HATE what AMC is making me go through to watch it.

What did someone say about the 90 minute Morgan ep actually being less then 45 min of story?

I don't think Aaron is going to die. I expect he'll lose Eric sooner or later though. Who hasn't had lines in how long...?

Assuming Glenn turns out to be alive, he may or may not tango with Lucille in the finale. It's such an iconic scene, I think someone is bound to for a shocking season finale moment (maybe the last scene?), but they like to swap deaths and switch stuff around sometimes, so it might not be Glenn. I agree the most shocking would be Daryl.

Killing Maggie and her baby would be shocking for sure but I don't know if they'd dare to go there. They chickened out of killing Judith before.

I want Daryl to die just so I can tell the true fans apart from the fangirls.

Could care less about the type of fan who watches this show. His time has come up though. He's pretty much a lesser Rick on a motorcycle at this point. Time to go Daryl.

What's this true fans vs fangirls ********? Daryl is the Han Solo of the show, you don't kill him off, just like Rick, Michone and Carol, the rest are expendable.

Carol is most expendable of those 4... 5 if including Daryl... Daryl isn't going anywhere...

I think Glenn is alive and Negan
saves him... then gets info from him as a friend... then betrays him and kills him in front of maggie.

It's funny the next couple of comics have Negan on the cover and one is titled 'Betrayal'... oddly lines up with todays news :D

My comment was more jokey than anything. I just like to poke fun at the diehard Daryl jihadists who lash out vehemently at any and all derision directed at their almighty lord and savior.

Alahu Akdaryl! :oldrazz:

I don't think they'll have negan kill Glenn since they just did a whole fake death thing with him.... People may think it's another fake death.

if it plays out the way it did in the comics... trust me, no one will be speculating that Glen might somehow still be alive

I doubt they would bring Glenn back only to kill him off again. Especially considering the show dont like to give the characters the same deaths as in the comics.

maybe they think you are thinking that and therefore they will kill him off again

They don't, but they usually stick to killing off the same characters that die in the comics ([BLACKOUT]Hershel, Tyreese, The Governor...the only exceptions are the show killing off Andrea and letting Carol live). I don't think Glenn is making it out of the show alive.[/BLACKOUT] Fakeout deaths where the character just dies later anyway have been done in shows before, like [BLACKOUT]Hank[/BLACKOUT] in Breaking Bad, even though that was less ambiguous than what's going on with Glenn.

I'm going to predict it will be Maggie. After she's reunited with Glenn, she and the others are captured. When Negan threatens her life, she tells him she is pregnant. This is the first time Glenn hears of this. As a bit of a nod to the movie Seven, Negan finds amusement at Glenn's surprise. "Oh. He didn't know." He then bashes Maggie's head in. How's that for a dark ending?

Maybe the writers will catch us off guard and have Negan kill Carol off, with him not being impressed by her sociopathic Martha Stewart shtick. No more cookies for Sam, I'm afraid.

maybe in a truly shocking turn of events, Negan will beat himself to death with Lucille
