It has to be Maggie, Glen, Daryl, Michonne, or maybe Abraham for it to have any kind of impact. We know it's not Rick or Carl. Nobody will give a crap if it's Aaron, Eugene, Rosita, or Sasha.

Add Abe to that group.

Michonne and Maggie I think are out just due to the show being so light on lead females already (especially after dropping Deanna, Jessie and Denise in such quick succession).

I think this is either Daryl or Glenn. Any other adaptation and I would be set on it being Glenn, but with TWD, you never know. I think Daryl might have a bigger impact.

This guy had some convincing theories about the victim being Michonne.

My guess is Abe.

TWD usually gives the character deaths in the comics to other characters in the show. Just to switch it up. So that rules out Glenn for me.

Gimple and Kirkman pointed out that Negan's victim is a beloved character in Rick's group. I don't believe Abe has reached that status yet on the show.

Their definition of beloved character might be different to ours. They probably think because they've developed Eugene a bit this season he is now beloved.

I think they'll go for two kills. They'll kill a lesser character for a fake-out, and then Negan will be "Oh, but Lucille wants seconds!" and bash Glenn.

That would be insane and one hell of an opener.

They kind of need it. I like the idea of distorting our expectations but still delivering on the "OMG x JUST DIED" emotions we need for this whole thing to pack the punch it deserved.

Hell, Aaron could be twisted to be a beloved character by the writers saying something akin to "Oh, but he's beloved to Eric, obviously, who would be heartbroken over the news." That sort of spin.

Daryl would have the bigger impact but

It's already confirmed it's not him. He's been filming most if not all of his scenes as a prisoner of Negans. He's been wearing tattered clothes with a big "A" spray painted on his back. they're saying it's for "*******"

Yeun and Cudlitz though, haven't been seen on set since episode one wrapped. And that's been confirmed by multiple people.

It would be really lame of the "beloved character" turns out to be someone that is a fairly newer character. It wouldn't have the impact. But I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they end up doing after that dumb cliffhanger in the finale. That whole Negan scene was so great and could've been a huge highlight scene of the entire series. And then cut to POV of victim and see you next season guys!

Just a reshoot/alternate take of the eenie meenie moment.

Boo-urns!!!

I hope there's another one when the panel comes out later today.

It might just be for the promo, but where did those other vehicles come from? I don't remember them being behind the survivors. I remember there being vehicles all around, but not behind them unless Negan just asked the Saviors to move them for whatever reason.

Trailer's out. I'm impressed they managed to show as much footage as they did without using any of the people left hanging in the balance.

Also, #DatTiger

Looks good. Here's hoping they learned their lessons from last season.

You still blow for that cliffhanger, Walking Dead, but your trailers always manage to impress. Ezekiel and Shiva look damn good, though.

Not bad for a trailer with a bunch of character I don't care about at all.
