What? I dont get it...how is that racist? Did Negan use the N word in the comics and they just changed it for the show?

Not at all. An old (we're talking 1800s) version of the "Eeny meeny miney moe" rhyme included the N word before it was replaced with tiger. People just look for reasons to complain.

Smh that's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. I didnt even know the original version had the word in it.

Based off the promos for this Sunday's episode (ep 7.11). It should feature plenty of Negan in it.

I know he is (i watch every promo for the following episode), i just think he should have been there straight from the 1st episode or at least on the 2nd. That radio voiceover was a copout.

Actually, Negan made a point in the comics of saying that he wasn't a racist and refused to consider Michonne as a candidate to get Lucilled. He initially said the same thing about Glenn, but he reconsidered after doing the "Eeny Meeny" rhyme.

people complain about negan... then complain about the lack of negan. lol

and what is this?

Every time someone turns on a radio or plays a CD, it should play "Easy Street". The contrast of that song against the dire backdrop of the Walking Dead world cracks me up every time.

So, no Negan in ep.12 then? Since the season premiere, Negan has been in the show for around 20-25 minutes total. Since the mid-season premiere, he has been in only 1 episode, for around 5 minutes.

I really expected great things from him since the brutal season premiere and the show seems to be going downhill with each consequent episode. If they won't show Negan, they shouldn't have wasted JDM in the role in the first place. I really don't care about all those side characters, nor the 100 different communities the show sets up - Saviors, Alexandria, Hilltop, the Kingdom, the women group that Tara found and the new group that Rick and co found 2 episodes ago. That is 6 groups so far.

Instead of showing us Negan, they simply give so many filler episodes. When the show can't afford JDM, they show Simon instead.

When is Negan going to be the Negan from the premiere? He hasn't used Lucile since then (hitting the doctor doesn't count) and he just talks and talks without doing anything. The screenwriters are like: Oooh, you haven't seen anything interesting lately? Well, let's have Negan throw a random doctor nobody cares about in the fire, maybe this will bring back some tension.

Well, it doesn't.

That basically is who Negan is. JDM wastes himself in the role.

Just like Carol to make good use of a One Way sign. :p

Oh damn!!

Amazing episode thus far.

Guess someone is off the "no killing" wagon.

Amazing acting tonight from Lennie James and Karl Makinen.

Yeah, this was a pretty decent episode. :)

Really good episode. This felt like "classic" TWD, you know? Compared to most of season 7...

Very good episode, which again proves why Morgan is one of the most compelling characters on the show, imo. Lennie James has always been one of the best actors on the show. Got some callbacks to “Clear“ and Here‘s Not Here“. “Bury Me Here” also really paid off on what was being set up with the episodes featuring the Kingdom (particularly “The Well”). It’s just a shame that Morgan has relapsed into Clear Morgan again. I don’t think he can repress his inner guilt and rage, which Richard accidentally triggered, anymore. Morgan’s meltdown scene was also very powerful and tense. [BLACKOUT]I really felt bad for Morgan in this episode b/c he lost his friend/apprentice, he had to kill again (someone who he believed was his friend/ally)to make a point, etc.[/BLACKOUT] I’m concerned about Morgan’s fate b/c now he’s on a suicide mission against the Saviors. I always considered Clear Morgan a danger to himself and others. Even Carol looked spooked by Clear Morgan and tried to talk him out of going after the Saviors. Seeing Morgan relapse into Clear Morgan was like watching a recovering alcoholic/junkie falling back into his addiction habit. The reactions from the saviors, Ezekiel etc. of Clear Morgan [BLACKOUT](as he was strangling the life out of Richard)[/BLACKOUT]were haunting b/c they were seeing how the violence and cruelty of the world outside of the Kingdom consumes a peaceful person like Morgan.

Poor Benjamin and Henry (Ben‘s brother). I figured the Saviors would make an example of him if the Kingdom came short on a tribute. Even though the Saviors promised that Richard would be the victim if that ever happened. It’s just a shame that Ben had to die for Richard’s failed attempt to sacrifice himself in order to push Ezekiel to fight the Saviors. I was really hoping the writers wouldn’t go the obvious/cliché route and have him survive next season instead. RIP Benjamin

I was expecting Richard to sacrifice himself for the kingdom but after that plan backfired I thought he’d make it by the end of the season. Then the writers had Morgan kill him with his bare hands instead. Well Richard wanted to push (not only Ezekiel) but Morgan to fight. He paid the price by unleashing Morgan’s inner beast, which ended up killing him. I sympathize with Richard b/c he was right sooner or later they would have to fight the Saviors. His downfall was provoking a fight between the Kingdom and the Saviors that ended up consuming him in the end. Richard paid the price but not how he expected to.

I’m glad they didn’t rush Carol into coming out of retirement to join the fight. An emotionally and mentally shattered Morgan telling her the truth about the Saviors was a believable way of getting Carol back involved. Even though Carol’s ready to fight she knows she and Ezekiel need to come up with a plan first. Everybody who seems to come after Negan/Saviors never have a foolproof plan. Carl, Rosita (once again), Sasha, and now Morgan seem to be going on a suicide mission against the Negan and the Saviors.

Despite this episode’s title I wasn’t expecting any deaths b/c since Season 4 the 14th episode of each season a minor character dies ( Mica & Lizzie in Season 4, Noah and Aiden in Season 5, and Denise in Season 6). This is the 13th episode of the season [BLACKOUT]and they killed off Ben and Richard.[/BLACKOUT] So I don’t think they’re killing anybody off in next week's ep.

Speaking of next week’s episode... Looks like it’ll be centered on Rosita and Sasha suicide mission at the Sanctuary. As well as Daryl putting the Hilltop community in more danger as Simon and some saviors show up suspecting he‘s hiding there. Hopefully it’ll be a good episode, b/c Maggie, Jesus, the Hilltop haven’t been given much focus this season. Plus I found the Hilltop community less interesting after “Go Getters”.

I think Morgan is somewhere in the middle right now. If he was full-on "Clear Mode" Carol would not have talked him into staying at the house.

The Walking Dead showrunner says things are about to get 'quantum intense'

Entertainment Weekly said:
Rick wants to fight. Ezekiel wants to fight. Carol wants to fight. Even Morgan wants to fight. All of these people who previously were content to sit back and not battle Negan on The Walking Dead are finally ready to take up arms. And they’ve even found other people (Jadis and the junkyard gang) to take up arms with them, as long as they provide the arms. As we head into the homestretch of season 7, things are no doubt ramping up towards the acclaimed “All Out War” arc from the comics on which the show is based. We checked in with showrunner Scott M. Gimple to ask what to expect in the final three episodes.

“We step on the gas and we do not let our foot off the gas until the end of episode 16,” he says. “Although because I’m working on season 8 now, the foot is on the gas again! I mean, the next three episodes we’re going to shoot you through a lot of big events and things become quantum intense.”

Quantum intense! We’ll take it! But what about that final installment? What can we expect from this year’s season finale? From the sound of it, a whole lot. Gimple teases that the season 7 finale will have many different shades and also notes one big difference from last year’s controversial cliffhanger ending.

“I just think it’s everything,” says Gimple of the finale. “It is everything and the kitchen sink. It is exciting and it’s very emotional and I believe it’s funny in a couple parts, and it builds and builds and builds and it explodes. And though it promises more — because there is a whole lot to get to — there is an ending. It really is just a huge episode inasmuch as it has all of the flavors of this season. It is taking your cup and going down each soda jet and taking a little from each one and then throwing in some hot sauce, a little bit of lime, and then maybe a tiny bit of tequila, as well.”

But will it be a celebratory drink or will we be drowning our sorrows? Knowing this show, it most likely will be a bit of both.

The Walking Dead: Andrew Lincoln previews 'incredibly satisfying' season finale

Entertainment Weekly said:
When Andrew Lincoln got the script for the season 6 Negan cliffhanger finale, he didn’t even want to go to work. It actually marked the first day ever the star of The Walking Dead was late because he was having so much trouble getting in the right emotional headspace to film that brutal sequence of events.

The star’s reaction to the season 7 finale (which will air April 2 on AMC) was far different. Lincoln already told us how he actually “did a little jig” when he first read this year’s finale script, but we asked him to elaborate when we spoke to him recently about what to expect in that final installment, and he says the mood on set was unlike anything he’s experienced prior.

“There’s a palpable sense of energy and excitement in that final episode,” says Lincoln. “I think that the crew felt it, this sort of brilliancy. And it was weird because it was the end of a long season and yet everybody was sort of champing at the bit to keep going. I’ve never felt that before in the show. Everybody was like, ‘Yeah, darn it, let’s do season 8 now!’ It was a really unique situation and everybody felt it. So I think if we get it right, it will be an incredibly satisfying ending to season 7.”

As showrunner Scott M. Gimple told us, viewers should expect many different flavors in what he promises is a cliffhanger-free finale. “I just think it’s everything,” says Gimple.

Viewers can drink up on April 2.

When Lincoln mentioned he "did a little jig" after reading the Season 7 finale script. This funny moment from "The Last Boy Scout" came to mind.

Norman Reedus says The Walking Dead finale channels Braveheart

Go ahead and picture Andrew Lincoln doing a jig. Because that’s what The Walking Dead star says he did upon reading the script for the season 7 finale that will air on April 2. It turns out he wasn’t the only one.

We asked Norman Reedus what he made of his costar’s dance moves and it appears the man who plays Daryl Dixon may have joined in himself. “I think he likes to do little jigs here and there,” says Reedus of Lincoln. “But I get it. I did the same thing when I read that one.”

Okay, we’re going to pause for the cause to allow you to now picture Norman Reedus and Andrew Lincoln “jigging” together. Take your time.… (First the bromance hug and now this? Amazing.)

But Reedus has good reason for slipping on his dancing shoes as he was happy to see the Alexandrians (and others) finally get up the gumption to take on Negan, something that has been building and will keep building until the finale. “I was like, yes, let’s get back to it!” Reedus says about reading the finale script. “It’s nice to finally let a window open up in this room and let some of this air out of here, and it’s nice to get some freedom and some dirt underneath your feet and start running towards killing this guy.”

So how does this year’s finale compare to ones from years past? Showrunner Scott M. Gimple has already promised that unlike last year’s cliffhanger, this one will have an “ending” of sorts. But Reedus says the season 7 ender is unique in other ways as well. “It’s completely different than all the other ones,” says Reedus. “It has similar elements, but it’s completely different, and, you know, there might be a little William Wallace in it.”

William Wallace?!? As in the knight and Guardian of Scotland who fought in the Wars of Scottish Independence and was played by Mel Gibson in the Oscar winning Best Picture Braveheart? Yep, that would be the one. It certainly makes sense if you look at Eugene’s hair, since Dr. Porter is probably the only individual in the zombie apocalypse who could competently challenge Gibson’s Wallace in a “mullet-off.”

Regardless, Reedus’ comparison pretty much confirms that we are indeed headed towards the events that take place in The Walking Dead’s celebrated “All Out War” arc. And that arc could begin on April 2.

EW and their clickbait. Reedus didn't actually say the Season 7 finale channels Braveheart. He said, "...there might be a little William Wallace in it.” Which I assume meant that there might be a moment that'll remind viewers of Braveheart. Otherwise EW is overhyping this finale (more so than the actors are) if they're comparing it to Braveheart.

I'm shocked Reedus gave a real answer. He usually overhypes everything.
