Frikkin' intense opener. This season has started strong and I hope it carries that level of quality til the end. It's got potential to be the best season yet since I felt like S4 repositioned the show in a really good place.

Amazing episode. One of my favorites ever.

If I have a complaint at all, it'd be that I wanted to see Tyrese snap that guy's neck like the guy threatened to do with Judith. My worry is that, while we know that Gareth and others lived...I'm really hoping that Tyrese didn't let that guy go. He was yelling "I won't" or something like that. I'd REALLY want the character to die if he was unable to kill a man who threatened to kill Judith, and was a part of a group that was trying to kill Michonne and Carl.

For a second, I read that "Cohan" as "Conan". I was really surprised you had a thing for ginger late night TV hosts.

I don't know. They cut off with him going full Raging Bull on the guy, I doubt he was about to just let him go.

I'm pretty sure he's dead, but I wouldn't be shocked if he managed to live. But he took about 6 heavy shots (that we saw) to the head from Hulked out Tyreese. If he walked away, he didn't do it in a straight line.

Kind of ironic seeing the actor playing Sam getting his throat slit at the beginning. Since he's the same fella, who slit a man's throat over a sandwich in an episode of Gotham.

It's good to see the creators aren't resting on their laurels.

The evolution of Carol is the best thing ever.

It just struck me as weird. If Tyrese killed the guy, then that is a major turning point moment for him. How does he feel about himself after he snapped? Is he now comfortable with what he has to do? Did he butcher the guy so badly that he fears that if anyone sees the body, they would think he's a psychopath? Maybe he DOES have some history of rage that he's been dealing with?

If he let him go, then Tyrese is so weak that he is a danger to everyone on the team. Threatening to kill a BABY wasn't enough to get you to act? The guy will endanger the entire team with his lack of ability to make the tough moves.

Instead...we get him screaming that he won't, as he's punching the guy, and then they make a point to never show the guy dead. It feel like a missed opportunity for SOME sort of story-arc for Tyrese. Like, whatever arc he was taking wasn't worth the time it'd take to get there.

Probably the only thing that could take him out of Punisher mode.

Maybe it will be picked up on...no need to get defensive and in attack mode over it. It's entirely possible that next week will deal with this and it will be a big thing. That would at least imply to me that he let him live and rejoin his friends...and that would be disappointing because I would be begging for someone, anyone to kill Tyrese if that happens.
