The Walking Dead The Walking Dead Season 5, Episode 7 "Crossed" Discussion Thread

My god Sasha have you learned NOTHING after dealing with The Governor and the Terminus people. Never trust strangers for a second. Stupid, stupid woman!

I enjoyed this episode more than the last two, but it's still not up to par with the first three episodes of this season. The show needs to get back to that level of quality A.S.A.P.
I'd agree with you but that last scene with Sasha killed it for me.

I wonder what was the point of showing Morgan in the premiere. Unless Tyrese dies next week & Morgan suddenly comes in ?

The Sasha thing was definitly dumb. The I'm still mourning the death of Bob 4 episodes later was really lame. I mean Merle was killed by the Govener, turned into a walker, and was put down by Daryl. By the next day / episode, Daryl was back to his normal self fighting and protecting the group without missing a beat. Sasha on the other hand is in some deep dark depression about a guy she's been banging for like a week or so after the prison attack and the following seperation of groups.

This season started out so great with the terminus and hunters material. Then like clock work we have 3 to 5 episodes of pure filler nonsense. Scott Gimple seems to know how to make a great episode here and there however the really the boring episodes of the group making dumb decisions that make 0 sense really turn me off. Leads me to believe this show has no idea how to make consistently great episode. The really good episodes are few and far between imo

Like everyone else, i'll continue to watch the show faithfully but I really wish the show would stay more engaging and realistic with less dumb charcter decisions and plot points that make me do this every other episode. :whatever:

Killed it as in ruined it for you? Then you're agreeing with me that it was beyond stupid.

Yeah I was referring to your second paragraph in that post. I would've enjoyed the episode more than the others had it NOT ended with Sasha being an idiot. That killed it for me, and that was me agreeing with the first part of your post.

I think the priest gets in trouble again and Morgan saves him and they go back to the church.

Did Sasha just become a hybrid of Comic book and tv version of Andrea? After the Governor, I expect her to be at least a bit vigilant when it comes to trusting people.

Comic book Andrea would never have made a stupid mistake like that after dealing with The Governor and the Terminus crowd.

Andrea is a sharpshooter in the comics yeah? I think Sasha will be replacing her in that respect on the show, and Michonne will become Rick's love interest (I hope)

this. things have slowed and fillered up since gareth died. although the beth episode did not advance the story, it was just there to show us what was going on with her this whole time.

thinking back in season 4 with that house beth and daryl were staying at, I was under the impression that the whole thing was set up as a trap in order to kidnap whoever may've made themselves welcome at the home.

since we know that isn't really the case, I wonder if we will see any more background about the house they were staying at. because remember, people were there recently before daryl and beth got there. no dust on the jars of food.

I doubt it, on talking dead afterwards they mentioned they had planned to show there was an older man who worked/lived/survived there with his dog, same one that came to the door, but they were going to show the man was killed by walkers on i guess a supply run, but it was cut out for time. So doesn't look like it would have made a difference then, and even less so now this far along.

So I guess the question at this point is will the mid season finale be worth the last boring 4 episodes? Guess we'll find out tomorrow. It better be something special is all I got to say on the matter. Yet, like a chump I'll keep watching nevertheless cause I'm like that. #lovemesomewalkingdeadyo

That ending didn't sit well with me.

I think tonight needs to have a main likable character die and a huge Morgan payoff. Surely end this gimmick with the hospital people.

The gore in this episode was superb. The zombie remains at the FEMA sight looked great. Daryl ripping off the zombies head and using it as a weapon was pretty awesome. Not sure what to make of Gabriel escaping. Pretty good ending.
