The Dark Knight Rises The Wayne Mansion

I've been excited to see the Batcave since the ending of Batman Begins. I'm hoping to see a new Batmobile with the suits he's worn on display in the background of the new cave

I really missed Wayne Manor/Batcave in TDK, it was sorta misplaced. It is understandable why Bruce would use a Penthouse suite.

That would be so awesome to see! Totally agree, I'd love to see all of that. :woot:

Agree Andino, and your avatar rules.....we need to see an updated Batcave as well as the Grandfather clock to enter into it this time.

Thanks, MessenjahMatt deserves all the credit. He's made a bunch of unique and original wallpapers and avatars. He posted all his work on this site if you'd like to take a peak

I really hope that the entrance to the cave is in Thomas' study, a huge grandfather clock that opens when adjusted to the time of the Waynes' murder. It doesn't necessarily need to lead immediately to the epic staircase, an elevator can be an intermediary for practical purposes, but I want to see the long walk down into the bowels of the cave. It's an iconic visual representation of Bruce's descent into his shadow-self.

I want to see everything everyone else is saying on this topic but if he's on the lamb in the next film then I think it would be cool to see a series of mirco-caves set up throughout Gotham so he can duck away easier if he's being chased by GCPD. Wayne does have a lot of real estate holdings throughout the city and it would be cool to see him put it to good use in the next movie.

The only problem with alot of "mini-caves" IMHO is that increases the likelihood of ppl discovering who he is. I know he has them in the comics, but in the Nolanverse, it might not fit.

I was reading "Blackest Night: Batman" the other day and Damian used a secret cave of Bruce's to get to Wayne Tower. It was in the crypt of a cemetery and Damian had to use a password to open it. It was pretty cool!

Mini caves is dumb

Now, mini Bat bunkers sprinkled through out the city? Makes PERFECT sense.

Like in Batman: Broken City. Apartments with small medic centers and mini crime labs set up through out the city.

Makes even MORE sense in lieu of the fact that he's on the run and would want places set up for quick getaways and hideouts.

To be honest, having all those caves is hella unrealistic, but i could see him use the sewer system, like he did in "S/B: Public Enemies". When the sewers get close to Wayne Manor, there could be a secret passage to the batcave.

In Batman Begins they used Mentmore Towers for Wayne Manor. It was owned by the Rothschild family, so if they decide to use a different manor I wouldn't be surprised if they used another Rothschild property. Personally I like the looks of Waddesdon Manor, and it's also been used as a filming location before:

They used Mentmore b/c it had a white marble staircase which gave it a mausoleum look. I think the new Wayne Manor will fit the look they are going for in B3, notwithstanding its real life ownership.

This Batman would not have suits on display just hanging around collecting dust. Everything must serve a function.

Not necessarily, in Begins the Batcave was really basic and just bare essentials but now, since he's on the lamb, and has more time as Batman, the Batcave should be more decked out. Heck he didn't even have the Bat-puter in the cave IIRC. If he gets a new suit for B3, then yes I could see a display case or some structure that has all the Batsuits. I really believe Nolan is gonna impress with the new batcave, and I can't wait to geek out the first time he has to enter it through the manor.

Think we can see the return of the Bat-poles? :wow:

I should have specified more but this is what I meant.
