The WHO DO YOU TRUST Official Thread

Xavin's a Super-Skrull and Skrullektra got killed pretty easily. Further, Skrullektra didn't seem to have any powers; she just seemed to be a martial artist.

i know, but even still... we know they copy powers don't we? i thought this was all covered by a Q&A thing

how? he doesnt seem to have shield working for him at the moment, lol

Funny how Fury is supplying all this stuff to Cap's resistance when he's not working for SHIELD either. Especially with a net of people he could kidnap and trust, it's really funny to think he couldn't do it.

plus you all forgot that spider-woman got sick after dr. stranges "honesty" spell ... she was on panel in the corner, curved over holding her mouth or something looking sick

The mind f*** they went through would probably make you sick as well.

They can copy certain powers. Strange's level of powers couldn't really be duplicated through scientific means, nor could it be learned easily, and the vast multitude of protection spells in his home meant to ward off those he doesn't want in there would repel people pretending to be him.

However, only in the last issue is Strange underpowered, and that's it. In every other issue, Strange was raised up to "do whatever I want" levels.

I could see Peter, Wolverine, and many others being a Skrull.
But
I think Spider-Woman being a Skrull is just too likely to be true. Everyone would expect her.
Same with Tony Stark.

I think, no matter who else is revealed as a Skrull, in the end Tony Stark and Spider-Woman wont be.
Especially Tony, because everyone wants him to be.

strange said it would make those who were guilty sick

as for elektraskull the skrulls ARE a warrior race it shouldn't be too hard for them to learn terran hand to hand manuvers

If Marvel could reveal more about the Skrulls' plans it would be easier to guess possible dopplegangers. Wizard magazine didn't give enough, as always.

Investigators will be asking the heroes questions like 'who is your daddy, and what does he do?'. :woot:

The X-Men found out an entire planet of Skrulls that were practicing to become like ALL of Earth's heroes, sure the planet was destroyed by Galactus, but who says they didn't have another such planet in the vast Skrull Empire???

What if.....and this would be a nice twist here....

They go through all of this red Herring stuff to set Spider Woman up as a Skrull....and then she is revealed as human, so We think all is well, but then she in the end turns out to be the real Human Spider-Woman....but working For/with the Skrulls.....Eh? Eh?

What about the Space Phantoms... what if this is just another Immortus conspiracy and the skrulls are actually Space Phantoms pretending to be Skrulls pretending to be heroes??

I think it's time to let Avengers Forever go, Sebita. Nobody but Busiek is ever going to reference it, no matter how much you, I and a lot of people loved it. It's just not happening. Immortus is too old school for the current times. Or rather, too old school for Bendis.

He'll be back... I'll never loose hope... have you all noticed that for a brief mention in Beyond he has not showed up since Ave Forever??? He's just around... waiting to come and say he was the grand arquitect of all this recent crap the heroes went through

Yeah, that's not how Marvel comics work anymore.

It was back in the 60s/70s, when you still had major continuity buffs like Roy Thomas and Mark Gruenwald.

Oh, right, guys who believed the internal workings of the Marvel universe were bigger than their egos. I remember the comics from those days.

Maybe this was posted several posts back, but I just flipped through New Avengers and
Spider-Woman leaves the plane crashed Avengers, knocks out Wolverine and takes the Elektra Skrull.
Does that mean she is a Skrull indefinately or is it still possible that she is just taking the Skrull to Tony Stark?
The next issue is called Invasion.

Just an idea I just had.
What if there are no other Skrulls. What if the whole arc was about the untrusting atmosphere because one Skrull was found.
The New Avengers find one Skrull, then suddenly everyone is up for speculation, then Tony Stark finds out and suddenly everyone in the world is suspect.
The whole story arc could be about how no one tursts anyone.
The story could keep hinting at or making you think someone was a Skrull but (but each time that happens they aren't a Skrull.)
The story could even end with only the Elektra Skrull being a Skrull.
Just an idea^

That sounds like the sort of anticlimactic thing Bendis would do. :cmad:

No but they'll be more than 1 Skrull, simply because this is going to be an "event".

Yeah, that would be the problems with this story.
The anticlimacticness of it, and it wouldn't be an event.

I was just thinking, tensions are already high. And it is possible that everyone would freak out to the point of another Civil War just because one Skrull was found. But its too anticlimactic.

I was just thinking, everyone is guessing who is a Skrull. Is it Spider-Woman, Wolverine, Tony Stark, Hawkeye, Spider-Man? Then I was thinking Spider-Woman and Tony Stark would be too easy. Everyone is suspecting them. And then what if it turned out no one was.

Anyway, did anyone read the newest New Avengers? And can tell me if what I asked in the spoiler is right?
