The WHO DO YOU TRUST Official Thread

Hopefully Aunt May is a skrull. And the whole 'genetically alerted actress malarkey' is said to be another ploy by Osborn. That plot line is terrible.

i agree, and would love osborn to be a skrull himself too, only problem with may being one is she'd have to have the real may's memory implanted, since she was having nightmares on pulling the plug on her own mother during "the other"

Bendis won't make Jessica a skrull. He plucked her out of her long limbo to make her a skrull? I don't buy it. :o He has a hard on for the woman as much as he has a hard on for Luke Cage.

I'm telling you guys, any character that has had an internal monologue can't be a skrull, that includes hawkeye. We've seen Hawkeye's thoughts so we know what the character is thinking. If a character is a skrull, they'll be thinking to themselves as a skrull not as the character they're impersonating. That also eliminates Spider-Woman, Luke Cage AND Sentry. They each had solo issues during Civil War where we could see their internal thoughts.

So the question is...who HASN'T had an internal monologue in a while?

Isn't Jessica already a Drew?

All of those characters could've been bopped over the head and replaced off-panel. You're assuming Bendis is going to follow some kind of rules here, which I think is assuming too much.

Bendis already said that the skrulls are not in any way responsible for civil war. While I don't normally trust him, on this I think he's telling the truth. That said have to assume the skrulls are either the characters not directly involved in civil war or were replaced immediately after. Plus I'm sure he's going to replace a few people between now and whenever he's milked this for all it's worth so while the internal monologue thing sounds feasible it can't really work.

Personally I think Quesada is the skrull.

You sawss nothing. :ninja:

Your right Corpulent, i dont know what i was thinking, marvel doesnt follow any logical rules, i realized that after aunt may's cheap "ressurection". But i was pointing out that we've seen internal thoughts for just about every important marvel character and LOGICALLY they couldnt be skrulls. Unless the skrulls are thinking to themselves as the character they're impersonating. They could go down that road...

if you want an explanation for hawkeye, who said he ever came back from that little eastern european village where he found wanda? they just cut out on him opening up that closet or whatever. hell the real clint could be living happily with wanda afterall, while ronin is really just the skrull.

We did not see Cage's internal thoughts in New Avengers #22. Everything expressed by Cage was in dialouge with someone else. Therefore he is not ruled out to be a skrull by your reasoning.

na, i just think the baby is a skrull... that'd F* with jesse and Luke alot in the head. and essentially be this era's "baby may" but in the end they'd find there kid

I hope you are right. I like Cage as a husband and father. It makes him a more interesting character.

i still think that'd be a shame, considering the very good Fallen Son issue with him in it... Tony's detectors even said he was the real deal... and i definately don't think tony's a skrull

rough, honey, i love ya and all... but you'd be a horrible writer, both of those 2 choices are beyond obvious.... and there not bringing cap back anytime soon... the skrull event is just starting... caps not going to be around for a while

No, he'll be back at the end of the Skrull thing....the final assault team will b raiding the Skrull Ship and during the raid they'll find Cap....and of course not know if it's the read Cap or a Skrull.

I am betting that Osbourn has been a Skrull ever since he mysteriously returned from Europe. The Real Green Goblin died in ASM #122.

That's how deep in these Skrulls are, their own Skrull OVerlords have brain washed them...the Clint Barton Skrull thinks that he IS clint Barton until his activation and realization that he relly is a Skruill.....Therefore internal Monologue is fair game.

Jessicas eyes are green

Hmm, very interesting.

I just looked over at New Avengers #1 and her eyes appear to be brown.

However, the guy who hires Electro has green eyes. But so does Electro.

Then I looked up ahead at Cho's issue of New Avengers #14 and her eyes are now green. But the issue before that her eyes are still brown leading me to wonder if it was just due to a change in the art.

Your theory certainly seems plausible but we'll have to wait and see. What would a Skrull gain by altering Tony/SHIELD to their presence?

Edit: Looking at the start of the arc, Elektra does not have green eyes.

Jessica's known for being a double agent. What better way to hide the truth than to hand over a dead comrade. Tony would probably give her a full pardon for the info and probably even bring her in on the operation. Perfect way to plant a mole
