CD Projeckt Red The Witcher 3

Nah Man, I don't want to see Americans doing their American accents while doing justice to a Polish source material.
The game sounded the best in English. How many people did read it in the original language? And what Poland has to do with Northern Kingdoms of Witcher?

Geralt's primary voice actor is American. He did fine. It's beyond stupid to think only the polish could do the source material justice. I mean, really, really stupid. It's about talent. Period.

Playing the game in English? Tsk!

Hollywood and Talent don't generally mix together. >:)

I liked the austhetics the game provides when played in Polish.

That's why I hope this will be a foreign language film, something like Mel Gibson would make, grit and real.

I just recently started playing Hearts of Stone.

Important question: If I currently have 18,000 crowns, is it worth it to give the Runeright the 10,000 crowns he wants to unlock the rune stuff? I haven't done the auction yet, and I was thinking I wanted to save money for the auction and then save money to craft the Viper Armor.

The auction items won't cost ya much, couple hundred gold to snag everything. I think you'll be fine spending the 10,000.

Cool thanks ProjectPat.

I'm enjoying Hearts of Stone so far. The enemies are tougher, but you can take on everything at your own pace. Plus there's more to do and explore. In the core game, I liked just traveling around the maps and discovering new areas, so I'm glad we got more of that.

Case in point, there's some great story stuff that is very rewarding and fulfilling for exploration. You can find what happens to one of the Skellige traitors, Birna Braun, if she's sentenced to death. You can find the grave of another character from the first game. You can even find an abandoned Witcher cave where experiments for the Withcer Trials were done not far from Kaer Morhen. Geralt actually expresses some pretty honest views about the Witchers. The Witchers are a dying breed, but Geralt's dialogue suggests that's probably the way it should be because of what is done to become a Witcher. Seems the enlightened and kind types like Vezemir were a rare breed.

Congratulations, Witcher 3. The best game of 2015.

Congratulations, Witcher 3. The best game of 2015.

I was predicting that 2 years ago. No game was topping Witcher 3. That was confirmed after mere moments of playing this game. It's just unrivaled. Blood and Wine is going to be incredible.

All major games this year had insane amount of hype and ambitions. Some of the biggest or highly regarded franchises. Winning this year is especially remarkable. My bet was MGSV. But CDPR outdid everyone. Incredible amount of quality content, fantastic visuals, mechanics. I'm also super-excited for Blood and Wine. Can't wait to meet my bro Iorveth.

I would like it if Witcher 3 won, but I think there are some other solid contenders.

However, it is my favorite game of 2015. Nothing compares or comes close. Metal Gear Solid franchise constantly lets me down.

I'd rank this year like this:
Witcher 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>> MGSV > GTAV (PC) >>>>> Arkham Knight (PC) > Fallout 4 (biggest let down for me as a fan of FO1-2).

I've got the whole new Viper Gear set from Hearts of Stone. Glad I got this set, since even my mastercrafted armor was not feeling quite as strong in fights for the expansion. Viper Gear and weapons are pretty strong.

Unfortunately, playing through all of Hearts of Stone only brought me from about level 38 to level 40. I'm only now just getting into the special attacks like Whirl.

Important note for those who want a full viper gear set:

Unfortunately, you can only get the last sword if you choose to save Olgierd at the end from Master Mirror. He takes you into a Hell-like realm, and the venomous viper silver sword can be found there. Also unfortunately, you don't have this complete Viper Gear set when the expansion is basically complete. But there is always Death March, New Game+ and Blood & Wine.

The game screwed me up with the last sword. I played Hearts of Stone on NG+ DM and I got the version of the sword from the normal game, not NG+ stats. Now I'm stuck with an incomplete set and I don't know if there will be patch, that will address this.

OutOfBoose, you could always try to play Hearts of Stone again not on New Game+ from an older save and start over to get all the gear.

I still haven't reached the level so that I can use that Viper gear. I'm like one or two away. I'm sure I'll reach it by the time Blood and Wine hits. As much as I want it though, I don't need it. I don't even need any master crafted armor. I'm using the base Wolven Gear and have had no problems through the main game or Hearts of Stone and I'm playing on Death March. I could probably make it through the game using the very first set of Witcher armor

The set sucks anyway. Wolf is a much better choice for my spell-sword build. At least I got the armor, which looks pretty freaking cool, the best or the second best look-wise. Wish I went and asked for [BLACKOUT]the demon horse[/BLACKOUT] instead.

The set doesn't suck at all actually. It gives you tons of protection and basically full immunity from poison damage and some nice attack boosts.

Do you mean the saddle?

I don't remember having any trouble with poison in the game on any difficulty. I don't remember dying from poison. So full protection from poison is quite useless. Remains to be seen what enemies Blood and Wine will bring, maybe poison will be more dangerous. On the other hand, Wolf set gives signs intensity in huge amounts. Means you can cast Igni every 3 or so seconds, locking most enemies in burning state. On harder difficulties in NG+ Igni (with Pyro) it's insanely valuable.

Yes, the saddle.

Not dying directly from poison, but poison damage causes a lot of health depletion leading to death. The hybrid monsters and the insectoids tended to be quite poisonous.

The Wolf thing sounds good if you like sign builds, but I've been going more for an attack build. Honestly, I just wish I had more skill points because I don't get to unlock all the techniques I want.

when Side Quests start Currently in the Tavern after griffin injur Vesemir

If you are asking when side quests start, it just depends. Some side quests you will get as you progress through the main story. Others you have to check the notice boards in new townships.

Also, when you arrive in new areas and see exclamation points, that's usually some sort of side quest or something. Check those exclamation points to initiate a mission or some such.

Some are hidden deep within Novigrad and hard to find. Like there's one in Novigrad that is really dug into like the sewers and there's a vampire fight.
