The "World of Heroes" DC RPG Season IV Signup/OOC Thread

Marvel OOC is like the cool frat house with keg parties every night and jello fights on saturdays.

...jello fights? Why wasn't I invited to one of those?

Hehe I like high tea. :)

I love being random and crap...reason why Family Guy is such a great show.

No he was sent to the future where we aged him *nice going, DC copying us* and then we deaged him before we brought him back. He went off to 'find' himself.

Too many people have went off to "find themselves". I mean what the hell? :(

And no, Kid Flash was brought back. He didn't die at all, anyway, since he was actually propelled into the Legion future, but eventually returned.

Superheroing is an emotional buisness, trusty. Sometimes you just gotta have some time to yourself.

*goes back to risking own life in mindless combat*

This Thread is weird...

DC OOC is the jigh end upper crust one. "Oh, don't crumb on the carpet."
"Have a wedge of cheese and some Burgundy?"

Do the awards, it will soon turn things around.

I still find it ******ed that so many people have ended playing with (or using as an NPC) a character with the character "trying to find themself".

Like I said:

I told SF to- oh..I told SF..:(

It was just Trigger and I anyway....

They don't its just our explaination for their absence.

Next season, J'onn's going to be a reserve member of the newly formed JLA, because he's going to find himself.

I'm not kidding.

It's an uber easy way to shuffle introduced characters off and a super easy way to bring them back as a PC character...I mean...look at Huntress and Oracle..:o :o

I thought the most used excuse for people's absence was death? I mean I killed tons of people as Scarecrow and then they came back and went to find themselves...so I guess I just walked around in a circle.

I'm not kidding.

You can't do that because Dinah has to find herself to.....literally. :cmad:

Exactly why I dislike the idea of it...use it for like 1 character? sure...but just using it as an easy way to end a character and bring them back is stupid.

When I stop using Jason it won't be "to find himself". And if I choose one of the other "methods" used to end my playing with him it would not be a way to where he could come back.

We could form little schools for them and have them be there until we want to pull them out.

Even better...RPG wide Crisis..all the unused characters die and then we start fresh, from the very beginning. :)

Honestly trusty does it matter?

I don't see why for some characters or NPCs you need to do that just to stop playing them or something. I mean Jason beat the hell outta Booster Gold...I used him as an NPC...should I have him try to find himself just cause Jason proved that he was a fraud and all? Hell no that would be beyond ******ed...I just left it at Booster recovering in the hospital. Who cares what else happens with him.

Yea it does matter. If I wanted to pick up any of those characters that "went to find themself" I would have to explain all the crap they went through while "trying to find themself". I didn't play the character before that happened...so how could I make it work smoothly? I think the idea is stupid if used too much.

Because someone might sign up as him, then don't want to play character that has 1 arm.

Its just an excuse to write off characters, nothing more.

That is why I hate it so much. That would be like over-using the Lazarus Pits to bringing people back to life even though technically it is only supposed to give life back to the dying..not the dead.

I think someone needs to go to NPC therapy to find himself.
:csad:

You don't need to explain them "finding themselves" its more of a running joke than anything.

Actually appearently we do....twy said that when Apprentice was thinking about playing Huntress.

Its just this simple: Its just a running joke to explain the absence of some characters.

You reading a bit too much into it.

Speedball

Roy and Dick should still be standing there with the Water Treatment. :)

So..you don't need a Green Lantern. :)

Also you mentioned that you were waiting for Trigger and P-Man so I figured we'd move on.
OH! I thought they went with you. I'll fix it.
