My writer's block for the most part is gone and my motivation has risen so I should be able to get an Orin post up possibly later tonight.

What exactly is the status with WW? Like, where is she at the moment, and what is she doing? Figured I would have to bunny her briefly for something with my Orin arc.

I know Big Barda has been playing her lately, but...she hasn't posted in a while and was taken off the roster for WW because of her inactiveness so I figured it wouldn't be a problem to ask since I was thinking about using her quickly; like for 1 or 2 posts most likely.

As for you taking a few days for a MM post, that's cool. Life can be a ***** sometimes, so it's understandable. At least you gave a reason.

Hell, in the PM I sent people about how close they were to the two week limit I mentioned that if there was some reason keeping them from posting to say so in this thread.
Provided the reason is good (work, school, waiting for an arc to finish, etc) they'd not have to worry about getting taken off the roster. But, some just never bothered.

Why was guitarsingerguy removed from the roster?

I already said why he hasn't posted cause I've been bunnying his character lately cause he wasn't aware of my plans yet. Also, with all the interactions with NPCs I've been using it would've been really odd to do the "you post, I post" stuff. Think about it...the format would've been so odd since I have like 4879085748 NPCs talking and then Garth has a line or action here or there that either he or they react to. And...the latest post I just did was going to practically be my last bunnying and he was going to post.

Unfortunately for me- now my computer seems to be on the fritz as well. The other night when I was putting up my post, I couldn't view the sign up thread at all- and it was REALLY frustrating me. So, since I've got a different computer for the moment, Lemme fill everyone in on my extended absence.

Work has been horrifying. You'd think working in a comic shop would be easy enough, and most of the time it is- but recently the manager has wanted us to refile, intergrate and update the prices on ALL about 40 long boxes worth of our back issues. A lot of times I got my posts written up at work, and I'd type them up when I got home, but having to actually do work has made that somewhat impossible.

Secondly, We're moving soon. Well, we being me. My boyfriend and I are working on getting a place together- still trying to get furniture painted and clothes packed and basically clear out my room here before trying to lug everything into a 10x 10 apartment. So as soon as I get home from work, I've been plunged headfirst into that ..stuff.

Third, my grandfather is in town. What little spare time I had left has been devoted to entertaining and babysitting him (the man's 91 after all.)

I don't want anyone to think I'm making excuses for my tardiness. In all honesty, I'm trying not to- just trying to give reasons as to why I should still be allowed to play. I realize I should have spoken up earlier when I first suspected that I was going to be pressed for spare time; but that's the way stress is, isn't it? It snow balls you so hard that you can't remember what it is you were supposed to be doing before you got all stressed out.

I've got no problem with reapplying for Barda- as long as it's okay that I can just cut and paste my original application.

Unfortuantely, as we've all noticed I'm sure- I really don't have time for Wonder Woman. Great character, and I was about to dive into the whole "wasn't she arrested earlier?" dilemia when all of this hit. So whomever needs/wants to use her- Go for it. If you need me to fill in where she currently is, what she has with her, whatever you need-I'm happy to help. Just PM me or AIM me on RoseWilsonWorth.

Thanks everyone for your time and your near unlimited patience. We all get stressed and busy sometimes, so I hope you can understand my predicament. Will try to cut and paste the re-app up later tonight (computer willing). If the Fates decree it's not getting up tonight, then I'll be back on this good computer monday morning so I can submit it then.

As for your app, you can just re-submit your original if you want since you'll be re-applying for the same character.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1) Barda's pretty dynamic when left in the right hands. Sometimes she can come off as just a chick who likes to smash things, but there's a whole lot more untapped potential in there I'd like to get a chance at.

2) Through either the JLA, her husband, or her ties with Apokolips, Barda's bound to know, have worked with, or knows of a lot of other Characters, giving me a lot of opprotunities to show her different moods, attitudes and quirks around various people.

3) A chance to give an awesome character some well deserved credit and play time Plus, simple enjoyment because I like to RP, and I love love LOVE Big Barda

Uh.. that's the basic theme of this season at least... but I'd really like to portray her as a more dynamic, living character rather than the flat, "Barda-like-smash-things" static characterization that's usually attributed to her.

Once upon a lifetime ago, or so it seemed, Barda had pledged her life to someone. Now, that wasn't exactly new, when she was just a small child she had been told that her life was simply to serve the Almighty Darkseid- but that pledge was hardly a choice, it was a necessity for survival. This was.. well.. somewhat the same, but completely different. Barda had vowed all of eternity to Scott, had chosen to spend all of her days, living or dead, with him. Not because she would be hurt or beaten if she didn't, but because there was no way she could live without him. Any and every day that passed without his touch, his smile, the sweet sound of his voice seemed like a waste of life. And since meeting Scott, Barda realized that life was not worth wasting.

Now she was his wife. She, the former leader of the Female Furies, someone's wife. But what good is a warrior without a battle to fight? What good is a wife without a husband? What good is a family without children? Can one woman be all three; Warrior, Wife and Mother?

Only one thought was any comfort to this restless warrior woman's mind; no matter what she chose to be, Scott would be with her.

Barda whispered to herself, curled up in her husband's arms late at night; just for the added comfort of hearing their vows repeated.

"I am eternal with Scott Free.."

"Far too long," Diana agreed, solemnity tainting her tone. She almost felt his facial expression change, his entire body tensing. A moment later, she was in the air. Superman broke away from her as the Eradicator's laser vision seared through the roof they were standing from. Diana blinked, and Superman was gone, the only evidence of his presence a gaping hole in the crumbling roof and shards of crimson fabric littering the area. Diana returned her attention to the Eradicator.

"I have no quarrel with you. Step aside, and I will spare you," it blared.

Diana gritted her teeth as she rose into the air, her lasso spinning widlly over her head. "But I have a quarrel with you, monster!" she barked, her voice laced with fury. "You have hurt my friend, and for that reason, I will not step aside!"

The Eradicator's eyes pulsed with energy once more. "Very well. You have determined your own fate."

"As you have yours," Diana snarled.

The Eradicator lanced out with his laser vision once again, but Diana slipped to the side and sent her lasso flailing out. It struck the robot's chest in a whip-like fashion. Diana dashed towards him, using her shoulder as a battering ram that sent her opponent sprawling to a rooftop below. She dove towards him, her hands balled into fists, but he brought his own back across her face in a clean swipe. She cried out as she dropped to the tarmac. The Eradicator rose to his feet triumphantly.

"You are a foe less worthy than the Son of Krypton himself!"

A grim smile graced Diana's lips. "Even to be compared to him is somehting to be proud of!"

She was on her feet in that instant, her booted foot snapping towards the Eradicator's face. He ducked beneath the blow, coming up with another laser assault, but Diana threw herself to the side and used his cape to propel her lithe form to his back. Once there, she reached for her lasso...only for her to realise that it was no longer there. By that time, the Eradicator's elbow was buried in her navel, and she fell once again with a strangled curse. A dull ache enveloped her body, and for a moment, the world spun wildly in her eyes.

"Fall!" the Eradicator hissed as his fists began to rain down upon her.

The pain was almost unbearable. Another few moments, as perhaps the Amazon princess would have truly fallen. But another few moments were not hers to endure, for a surge of rage and determination overcame her and her foot was sweeping the robot's legs from beneath him. Diana hauled herself to her feet and bounded oevr to the next rooftop, taking her lasso in her hands and focusing on the Eradicator.

"I...I will not fall." It was a vow she had to keep...for Superman, for Metropolis, but most importantly, for herself. Her entire body felt heavy, as if her mass had increased since the start of the duel. And, as the Eradicator charged, she felt strength flee her body. She was drooping before he even hit her.

Diana was floored instantly by the mighty blow, sloppily warding off several of his rough punches with her gauntlets. Each deflection sending pangs of pain through her arms, and, as such, the defensive motions came less and less frequently. The Eradicator was far too strong -- on the level of Superman, at least -- for her to handle alone...but I'm not alone! she reminded herself vehemently. Ignoring the agony shooting throughout her, pushing the humbness of her jaw as it took the brunt of the barrage of attacks, she fumbled for her belt.

I've got to reach it, got to...

"Farewell, woman!" the Eradicator stated simply.

"Farewell, monster!" Diana slurred, just before jamming her hand, and the metamorphic goo within it, into its mouth.

It expanded almost immediately, and the Eradicator could do nothing but writhe atop the drained Diana, eventually rolling away. Garbled mechanical transmissions emerged from it as it flailed in the throes of death, finally laying motionless in its defeat. Diana stood with a moan, easily catching the amorphous goo that exploded ouwards of the Eradicator's chest area. Allowing her shoulders to slump, she drifted over to the roof and dropped down, wearily resting her hands on Superman's arm.

"What a welcome," she quipped. "Are you okay?" She began to wipe away the blood and dirt coating her skin, and applying pressure to check for any vital wounds.​

OK, I'm trying to get my first Hal post up, but realized it would probably help if I knew kind where he was seen last in DC/What he was doing. any help is much appreciated.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Hal married to Carol Ferris in this RPG?

Yeah, and they have a kid. Problem is, the Guardians wiped out the last few years of Hal's life. So he doesn't even remember being Parallax. And since he hasn't been home yet (Carol isn't expecting him because he's supposed to be on assignment in deep space), he's got a big surprise waiting for him.

Yeah, I remember him having his memories wiped. How much of them have come back? He remember who Kyle or anyone introduced after Parallax is yet? (Could be interesting having them come back and having him live through the guilt and horror again. What better ways to unlcok supressed feelings of guilt and horror than meeting the wife and child you forgot you had . ) Is the kid a boy or a girl?

None have come back. He still calls Kyle a rookie because he's 'never' met him before. Don't remember about the kid.
