The "World of Heroes" DC RPG Season V Signup/OOC Thread

Yay!
Way to make Shining Knights appearance in Washington D.C. completely pointless M.B.
I was gonna help you...

I guess I'll try my best to explain.

After Darkseid released the seven deadly sins, their influence swept over the Earth to certain degrees. Somewhat evident in Las Vegas though it really wasn't mentioned. Like in Day of Vengeance the sins bonded with mortal hosts. This time though they chose to inhabit the bodies of evil men and women that best represented their sin. I figured the maddest of the mad houses would be a good base for the seven sins.

Plus I'm hoping the back door buried at the bottom of the Asylum might help explain why it is such an evil place with twisted souls.

I like your ideas, PM, cause you have a lot of em that some people might not think of. What I don't get why Mister Miracle of all the people/heroes would be the one doing that in Arkham? That would be like me having Aquaman do that; why would he care or at least why would he be the one to do it? Just doesn't click with me; sounds more like a team effort (JSA/JLA/TT/Outsiders). :wow:

Sorry that I'm holding everything up, didn't think the deadline would come so soon. Plus I figured we'd get done faster. *nudges BB*

I'll try and help come up with some sort of strategy to keep things interesting with the Darkseid battle until I can get my stuff squared away.

Maybe Krypto can attack Darkseid? That might buy me some time to wrap things up. And I think it's about time that Dr.Fate gets involved.

Yea...it kinda is haulting a lot of things to continue the flow. Mister Miracle is key to the entire Darkseid arc and everyone knew from the beginning, yet you still turned to do a different arc that was brought into the game from Darkseid's doing earlier.

I'm not trying to sound negative...and sorry if I came across that way anyway, but...with just about everyone being involved with the Darkseid arc they are kinda stuck in limbo to kill time til you finish this Arkham thing; and appearently you've just really started it. I just don't understand why all this is happening now and not later or sooner. Am I the only one who feels this way? :csad:

To be fair, the fight was over before Knight even appeared in Washington. It pretty much ended when Uxas took the 'fake' Mr. Miracle.

But Darkseid is still there.
And her mission is to stop him.
What better time than now?

Well. It looks like Darkseid is trying to do good..........I think.

Have you kept yourself up to date with all the posts SpeedballLives? I only ask this cause you were gone for a good while and a lot has happened. There would be no reason for Shining Knight to attack Darkseid; Uxas is the threat, not Darkseid; Uxas is not there at the moment even.

Why couldn't her mission actually be to stop Uxas? They look exactly the same. It's just a case of mistaken identity.

No, I haven't. I asked for someone to pm me a brief description of the events leading up to this point, but like always, I was ignored:whatever:.
Well...LT could show me a vision like he showed Superman.

That's kinda important. So much has happened ever since Darkseid set foot on Earth's soil; if you summarize it all you lose a lot of vital details.

It's cool. Wiegeabo helped me figure it out.
I never name people in my posts, I just call him the Dark One.
And since Uxas and Darkseid look alike, It will just be a case of mistaken Identity.

Guys: There are two shining Knights. One male, and one female. It was explained in Seven Soldiers that, for whatever reason, the archtype of Aurthurian legend is a recurring theme in all of human history and shows up again in one form or another in every age. Each Shining Knight is from a different version of the Aurthurian legends from a different point in time.

Simple, because it goes with the religious undertones I've been putting into some of my MM posts. Arkham is going to be like the descent into hell. Facing and overcoming the seven sins of man. I always viewed Scott Free as a Christ like figure with Highfather representing God and Darkseid as the Devil. In Vegas I even went as far as having Scott crucified by the people he tried to save and stabbed with a spear, which just so happend to be the spear of destiny.

The combination of Scott, Highfathers staff and the Spectres shroud is meant to represent the holy trinity of the father, son, and the holy ghost. Barda is with him to keep him grounded and show that their love can overcome any obstacle set infront of them.

This descent through the bowels of Arkham is supposed to showcase the virtue within Barda and Scott, two kids from the Armaghetto of Apokolips that managed to escape and overcome the evil that surrounded them their entire lives.

Miracles do happen, and I'm only asking for a few more days to wrap things up, I never thought everything was going to happen so fast or that I'd get so caught up in my life. A lot of bad and good has happend to me while I've been writing for Mister Miracle. I nearly quit all together a few days ago after some bad news, but I feel this is the story that I need to tell.

I'm truely sorry that the whole Darkseid storyline is going out with a whimper instead of a bang because of me, but I guess this whole thing is about rolling with the punches.

But why would there be two from actual Arthurian times? And why would the medieval power structure allow a woman to become a knight?

Not trying to undermine Speed's character, but these thoughts did occur to me.

The first Camelot happened around 10,000 years ago. That one had the female Shining Knight.
They didn't know Ystina was a woman, she went by Ystin.
If you read my story, Camelot fell because she was knighted, and broke the ancient magics in the Round Table.

Oh, okay. :csad: Sorry, sometimes I read too fast for my own good and I miss parts of whatever I'm reading.

*goes back to read the posts*

*and to post as well*

MB, I'm coming your way! :oldrazz:

Damn. *goes to gethis copy of JLA/JSA Virtue and Vice*

Wrath/Anger has been called.
Envy is in the Riddler.
Lust could be in the Mad Hatter judging by the way he acted towards Dinah in Watchman's last post.
Pride, Greed, Sloth and Gluttony have yet to be seen, correct?

Glad to see that everyone is finally picking up on the seven sins. In retrospect, this probably should have been dealt with before the Darkseid assault, but we can deal with that.

Do whatever you want with the sins. LT was the one that freed them by having Darkseid kill Shazam. BB and I only decided that we would be the ones to put them away.

While the actual embodiments of the sins are down in Arkham, their influence can reach anywhere you want.

Here's my line up for those that are curious to know.

Riddler - Pride
Poison Ivy - Lust
Mister Freeze - Envy
Mad Hatter - Gluttony
Doctor Destiny - Sloth
Psycho Pirate - Greed
Solomon Grundy - Wrath

Wait...Watchman used Hatter already? Didn't notice...hmm..guess I'll have to use someone else for Gluttony...or maybe I can use some magic to explain things.
