The gap in between season V and VI should be about two months.

Between who and Dinah? Jay? (Sorry for double checking, but my brain is fried tonight.)

No problem, I realized how vague I was..yes, Dinah and Jay.

And what's going on with the League? I hear it's forming between seasons but why? Where? Whom? etc...last contact Dinah had with any type of a League was at the very beginning of last season and she'd set up the funds frm the previous league for the new incarnation.

Flashbacks are fine, but I usually prefer to do things in 'real time'. It seems to give it more of a sense of urgency and surprise, even though we pretty much know how it will turn out.


As for the League, if everyone is willing and available, Sinestro can provide a reason for them to come together at any time in the season that it's good for everyone. I was actually going to start the process pretty early, but I can drag that out for as long as is needed.

Well it seems it was discussed between SF and MB and byrd went along with it.

I personally also mentioned to them both how I preferred it happened in real time rather in between seasons.

Yeah, but the last time it happend in real time it kinda didn't.

All I said was that it'd be easier to just have it form off-screen, because everytime we tried to do it in game, we'll always get side-tracked.

Only people who can commit to it actually forming should be a part of it then. That way it is played through without any set-backs. Yeah, but if you look that current League's roster. There is no dead weight. I think, doesn't matter a **** to me. It's Roy's problem now.

You were talking about people being on the League just for the sake of being in the JLA. I was just saying, from what I can tell. There's nobody like that on the current roster.

I was saying that only because you guys pointed out the multiple League failures. The reason behind those failures were mainly because some people who were trying to do so (who wanted to be on the team) didn't pull through. That is why I made that comment.

I'm basically stressing that it could be done in game instead of in between seasons if the people actually will do it. Don't say you want to be a part of it for the sake of being part of it; actually make an effort to do it.

Yea, real life comes first...but if you cannot put in a post every now and then then don't try to be part of the team if there are going to be team arcs and such. It doesn't take long to do a post; and I am aware of the problem or writer's block but you know what I'm saying.

If you are so sure that such a flaw will not happen, then why not try to do it again in the game instead of in between seasons? Cause that's the only reason it didn't work out the other like 230739247894 times.

I also agree with Trusty, if we have the JLA form off season then there is no 'ownership' Also, the people coming into the JLA will have a lot of interesting anc complex emotional issues to deal with since the JLA broke up becasue of the fall out from the DA several seasons ago. I think the emotional impact would be much more interesting, provided the players are up to it.

I'd also suggest going back and re-reading the last few pages of the season where the JL broke up to fully grasp the emotional impact.

Emotions are one of the things that have, as of yet, been explored in terms of relationships to friends and teams. I'd love to see it explored and I'd love to play it out myself.

If yo're so worried about how long of time it might stretch out to, then set a limit.

X Day is Zero Hour and all emotional/feel good stuff is over and baddies attack.

I'm not, I assume it's a lunar location? And not to sound *bitter* towards the high powered peoples. But shouldn't that be something the group discusses?
