I'm not, I assume it's a lunar location? And not to sound *bitter* towards the high powered peoples. But shouldn't that be something the group discusses?

It's not a lunar location.

And truthfully, it's just something cool to add to Clark's character, the way he builds it... But I guess you're right. We can make it a backup hq, or something, I guess.

No

No 'back-ups' that was an issue last time.

Nothing floating, swimming, freezing, raining, in the city, etc.

No offense but it's a ream, which means the team should build it, or reclaim it. and if you want it built ahead of time then you need to have the basis of the team have a meeting in a flashback and then have the very first 'official' meeting in real time.

I was going to have Sinestro go around to former, and prospective, League members and invite them to join him in the new League

I'd still like to do that with those interested. It doesn't have to be everyone since Sin wouldn't necessarily know them, and some would join without him needing to ask. I'd also expect some resistance or refusals, even if they end up joining.

...

While I understand where you're coming from, He's going to be building it anyway. I've planned on this for five months, and it's important for Clark, and my post. If it isn't used period, especially for bringing the team together, something Clark's going to want to put in priority from the start since he's always tried to reason with the rest of the heroes, then that's fine. It'll be unused. But I cannot throw that out, just like that. Just know that the team'll have something to use, if they need it.

I'm all for the forming between seasons. Its harder to get a mentality and enough of a unified plot to reform a team than it is to be part of one that already is established. Look at the Titans, they never disbanded in the RPG, so it will be easier for the members to jump into a team arc. Even the Season where the League WAS together, it was the villains who really had their s**t in a group. Hence why they DECIMATED the heroes that season.

I think they should still be forming , and you'll see why when my app is up in a few.

well, my idea for Sin would give the League a big reason to work together as a team if they're having problems being a cohesive unit.

MB, you can do whatever you like, since you are, after all Superman.

As for the League;

How about a compromise then?

We can have it so that the formers have met one or two times, and the season cam open with the main 'official' meeting. Have a few laughs, visit etc..and then have an arc start.

I can work with that. Instead of going around to each character over time, I'll just make the big announcement at the meeting. I can even do a few invites as flashbacks with anyone who wants to.

I should have known. Twy always knows best.

I was hoping to have Aquaman be part of the League if you'll have me...but only after I get one thing done. So he would be on reserve status until then basically. After my wedding party flashback posts, it wouldn't take long til I can officially join the League.

I was hoping to have Hawkman with the JSA in case any of you were wondering.

Hmm..the JSA...tempting..but it's hard to support two groups in our RPG.

Basically I had a tough time picking a character, but I had one of my greatest ideas for a character wile I was watching JLU the other day since I know this character I guarantee has either never been used in any DC RPG, or has been used only a little bit, and with that said, my application...

DC RPG Season VI Application

Screen Name: xman:blacklight

Character you would like to play (please include the color and font you plan on using to portray the character): Virgil Hawkins aka Static, the Rebith of Cool.

Powers and Brief Origin (provide at least two sentences): Electricity and magnetic manipulation and generation.

Virgil first gained his electromagnetic powers at a huge showdown between the gangs of the city, when he hoped to get revenge on a gang banger who had been bullying him. The authorities arrive and release tear gas with what they believe to be a harmless radioactive marker so that any gang bangers would not escape arrest. The cops do not knowing the marke had been further spiked with an experimental mutagen called Quantum Juice (Q-Juice). This event ultimately came to be known as the so-called "Big Bang." Those who were exposed came to be referred to as "Bang Babies" because the Big Bang was their metahuman birth.
Virgil was exposed to the gas. When the agency behind the experiment tried to capture him, he fights back, discovering that he has gained the ability to generate, manipulate, and control electromagnetism. Virgil names himself "Static" and, armed with his wits and powers, became a superhero. For the most part, Virgil keeps his secret from his family, but his friend, Frieda Goren, learns his identity when he attempts to protect her from becoming a prize in a small skirmish between gangs.
Static has had confrontations with numerous Bang-Babies and other super powered adversaries: Francis Stone/Hotstreak, Tarmack, Leonard Smalls/Holocaust/Pyre, Puff, Coil, Snakefingers, Fred Benson/Rift, The Swarm, Dr. Kilgore, The Rubber-Band Man, Brat-atat-tat, Prometheus, Run, Jump & Burn, Boom Box, Powerfist, Laserjet etc. Other Bang-Babies that Static has encountered include: Virus, Damon Briggs/D-Struct and Hyacinth.

Group your character is aligned with (if applicable): N/A

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar. One to explain what you plan to do with the character you've chosen. The other to explain why you've chosen this character. (i.e. What are your goals? Will you be doing anything different with the character than is usually seen?): Static is a great character and could be a potential cause of problems among the superheroes. I will portray him as a indecisive, sort-of-selfish teenager naturally.

Do you have an Instant Messenger? Which one, and what is your screen name?: none

If you know how to post pictures, please provide a picture of your character you wish to be used for the Character Roster (if you do not know how, or do not have a preference, please say so and a default picture shall be picked for you):

Please provide a small sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least one line of dialogue):

I was flying on my static-saucer and in a fight with one of the boom-babies. It was Hotstreak and he could shoot fireballs. A flame aimed at me, but I dodged it.

"C'mon, Static. Show me what you got!"

"Okay, but I have a date with my girl, yo. I'll make it quick for ya, homie."

I then summoned some electric bolts from my fingers and started shocking him until old Frankie was down.

"Ha! Easy."

But he got back up.

"Aww, man..."

He then smirked and shot a stream of fire at me, but I quickly fired streams of lightning to push it back, but it failed, but a green bubble protected me and I turned to see my hero.

"Nice too see your still getting in trouble, Static."

"John Stewart! I mean Green Lanteern. Was happenin' brotha'?"

He looked at me with that look that my dad gives me when I talk like that. He then trapped Hotstreak in a green light box.

"Good job holding him off. I'll take him to the cops. You might have a future in the Justice League someday, young man."

"Me? In the Justice League? Really?"

"If they see the same thing in you that I see."

Then he flew off with Hotstreak contained. I smiled uncontrllably. I was so excited at what he said.

"Static, Justice Leaguer. Has a nice ring to it..."

Sorry man, but there's a reason he hasn't been played. He was denied before. He's not technically a DC Character, he is Milestone. Its the same reason you can't play someone from the Wildstorm Universe, or from Fables, they are separate universes from the same publisher.

Although I said Aquaman wouldn't be able to join right away, I would want him at the meeting to at least be there and then tell them that (yes, there is a reason).

Course, this will all be after my wedding party posts. But I should have them ready to post em quickly before the actual meeting would start, thus I should be able to at least make the meeting.

Really? It classified him as DC and he is in the DCU.

He isn't in the DCU. The cartoons don't carry over. While I loved his appearances in, say the Timmverse JLU episodes (in the future), they aren't 100% accurate/loyal to the comics. He isn't a DCU character in the comics.

And I know he had that episode with GL Stewart, but like I said...cartoon.

That sucks. It's Ok though. They say the third app's a charm.:woot:

No, he's in the ANIMATED DCU. This RPG is not the animated universe. Static was in the Milestone Universe. Milestone had a crossover with DC one time, right after Superman came back from the dead. To do so they had to use a dimensional portal.
Milestone Wikipedia Article said:
Although Milestone comics were published through DC Comics, they did not take place in the DC Universe. Under an arrangement similar to the one DC and Wildstorm established later, all Milestone characters existed in a separate continuity that did not fall under DC Comics' direct editorial control (but DC still retained right of refusal to publish). Unlike Wildstorm, whose properties were bought by DC Comics, Milestone Media retained the copyright of their properties (though DC wound up owning the trademarks).
All Milestone Media titles were set in a continuity dubbed the "Dakotaverse", referring to the fictional midwestern city of Dakota in which most of the early Milestone stories were set. Before any titles were published, an extensive "bible" was created by McDuffie and other early creators, which provided back-story and information on all of the original Dakotaverse characters, as well as detailed information about the history and geography of Dakota. Cowan produced the original character sketches that served as a guide for the other artists.
