Before I could answer, I see Oa up ahead. We'd be arriving soon.
"I guess you can ask them that yourself."
Oa.
It's very different from how I knew it. When Rayner rebuilt the Corps, he decided to make some aesthetic improvements, among other things. I must say, I applaud his decision. This planet feels like an actual world, rather than the barren rock it used to be. Unfortunately, one thing didn't change. The one thing that's the same on every world.
Prison cells.
I'm certain it's more for show than anything. The Guardian's last little reminder of who is actually in charge, which they will claim is just equal treatment. I haven't been in here long, but it's been more than long enough to have to tolarate the torrents of abuses, threats, and even applause from the multitudes of other prisoners confined here.
"Well, look at this poozer."
I groan inwardly. "Kilowog."
"Back where you should be."
"If you say so."
"You know that the Guardians have authorized lethal force."
I look at him, bored. "Which you won't use against me since I surrendered voluntarily, and am currently anything but a threat."
Kilowog steps up against the field that contains me. "I don't believe you've changed one bit, Sinestro."
I step right up to him, not backing down. "I do not care what you believe. The fact is that I have changed. And what I do now is so that I can help everyone again, and atone for all that I've done."
Kilowog grins. "If I didn't know better, I'd almost believe you were sincere."
"Like I said, I do not care what you believe. I only need to convince the Guardians."
Kilowog grunts. "Ring?"
"No deception detected."
I raise an eyebrow. "I remember how you helped against the Dark Lanterns. And Jordan's apparently on your side."
"Are you?"
"...No. I remember everything you did to us in the past. But...I'm the last one to deny someone a second chance. Don't blow it if you get it."
"A second chance is all I ask."
With a grunt, Kilowog lowers the field and chains bind my wrists and ankles. "You're about to get it."

The massive crowd of Lanterns creates a steady murmur in the giant amphitheater. I can't help but be amazed at the assault on my senses. But I stay focused on the matter at hand. If Sinestro is going to have a chance against this crowd, he's going to need us to be at our best.
Suddenly, the sounds drop away as a multi-armed alien walks out in front of everyone. "All Lanterns will come to order for the Guardians of the Universe." And as if someone flipped a switch, the room goes silent as the small blue beings float behind the large balcony. They all carry a distinct air of nobility and arrogance, and for some reason it sets my teeth on edge. No wonder they get on Hal's nerves.
When the Guardians take their positions, the alien standing at the center speaks again. "Bring out the prisoner."
From the center of the floor, a lift raises up. A large Lantern stand on it, and the shackles extending from his ring bind Sinestro.
And the crowd erupts...
