Hey John........

THE CHAMP IS HERE.

Has AJ Styles come out yet?,Just tuned in

Based on what we saw on RAW, it’s still unclear whether Ryback has actually turned heel or is just solidifying himself as the #1 contender. However – based on a match WWE is booking for next week’s WWE RAW taping from the Bi Lo Center in Greensville, South Carolina, it appears Ryback could in fact be a heel.
The arena is advertising WWE Champion John Cena & Alberto Del Rio vs. Ryback and World Heavyweight champion Dolph Ziggler for the show. It’s likely that the match will take place as the dark match main event after RAW goes off the air.

Also advertised for RAW is the return of CM Punk, who will address his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Oh christ, Magno, has a worse voice and lisp than my friend Gigantor.

Ken Anderson:"Are you ready?,Are you ready?"

Bully:Do I look ready?"

Ken:..Yeah you look ready"

LOL

There's something I've been wondering about for a while now, and I was hoping someone could clear it up for me. It's about the titles in WWE.

I understand that the WWE Championship is the most prestigious and the World Heavyweight Championship is number two, but where do the United States and the Intercontinental Championship fit in? The Tag Team belts as well, or are they more of a completely different thing like the Diva Championship? And King of the Ring for that matter?

I'm assuming there's some sort of definite hierarchy to these things based on how valuable the company thinks the wrestlers are or something like that.

Also, do you guys think that having so many different titles devalues any of them and makes them feel less important?

right now, the US and Intercontinental Belts are largely booked worthless. they don't really carry any prestige anymore.

the Tag Team belts have been treated marginally better as of late, but that's not saying much. gone are the days of truly great tag teams.

The Divas division is a total joke......so........

and I don't even think they have King of the Ring anymore......lol

and yes.......having so many belts does devalue them, especially 2 "heavyweight" belts. and especially since the brand division between Smackdown and Raw has largely been erased in the last few years.

There should be 1 top championship belt. 1 secondary belt. 1 Tag Team belt. those should be your core belts.

and the belts SHOULD signify your rank in the company, imo. The #1 guy should be the champ. The #2 guy should be the US/Intercontinental/whatever champ.

then you could have "specialty" belts like a cruiserweight belt, divas belt, hardcore belt, etc. if those divisions ACTUALLY MATTERED!!!

Roman Reigns has a great look, we'll see how it translates if he's on his own. A lot of big muscular guys have gone nowhere in the WWE and were otherwise forgettable: see Chris Masters, Nathan Jones, Luther Reigns, Shad Gaspard, etc.

Seth Rollins is the big question mark. From what I can see he's the best pure wrestler among them, but he's small and he really, really looks too much like CM Punk. He might be the most in danger of either having Justin Gabriel/Tyson Kidd status, or finding himself working in TNA (which would be amazing probably, but not as good for his career).

Nathan Jones would have been money had he not been such a baby. Guys like Heyman would have protected his weaknesses and booked him to the moon. Reigns has presence to go with his size and power, WWE just need to take their time with him.

I think Rollins i more like a Jeff Hardy than CM Punk, in the end I see him being a very popular face that at least wins the WHC.

I wish he was trolling.

Lot of older wrestlers seem to rate Joe Hennig and of course his father was one of Bret's favourite opponents and best friends.

The short answer is that all of them but the WWE title (Which is not as important as being John Cena) are pretty much little more than a confirmation that you have made it to upper mid card/jobber to the stars level, with the WHC carrying a little bit more protection from jobbing.

In the old days the IC title was the reward for getting over and often for being a great worker as it was always the workhorse belt held by the best workers in the company, it was also a sign to the fans you were a potential future WWF champion.

Tag belts only meant something when being a tag team wasn't something you did to pass time until you got a singles push.

The Women's title has meant nothing before or after Trish Stratus.

The US title has only ever mattered in WCW, in that promotion it made you the #1 contender to the World Title.

Since a fair bit of Anti-Ziggler fans like bringing this up, let's take a look at the promos Ziggler has cut as of 2012 and give feedback on them:

Promo in London: http://youtu.be/a0HLOztZ9To

WWE Downloads promo: http://youtu.be/-xtZktb4fMc

Raw Promo after he beat CM Punk in an upset: http://youtu.be/5SYkv5pMndk

Promo on AJ Lee: http://youtu.be/e63oJyXKzwM?t=1m55s

Promo on Jericho: http://youtu.be/t0gGO8yU130?t=2m45s

I personally say that he's made a lot of progress and will keep improving especially if you compare it the stuff he did when he first came on the scene as Ziggler with the "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler" segments.

Anyway what are your thoughts?

Yeah, I was just listening to the Steve Austin podcast and he had Shawn Michaels on this week, and they both said the same thing. Shawn even said that he enjoyed the IC belt more at the time because it meant you were a "real wrestler", whereas the WWF Champion was more about who was the best face to put on posters and to draw fans. Of course I don't think that was quite the same in regards to people like Bret or Shawn who were still pretty great athletes, But in the Hogan era, and I think in today's era, that is definitely true about the WWE Championship.

Speaking of that podcast, someone here mentioned that they had wanted to see more matches between the two, so it was interesting to hear that Shawn and Austin actually worked a lot back then, mainly during Austin's time as the Ringmaster. He also thanked Shawn for basically giving him good matches in the in-house shows that caught the eyes of people like Bret and helped him get away from his early gimmick and into what eventually because the Stone Cold we all know.

I just marked out in WWE'13,I was Dolph Ziggler and was defending the Light-Heavyweight Championship(replaced the IC title in my Universe)against Daniel Bryan,A long/back and forth and truly"epic"match,I had Daniel bleeding while I was limping and he went for his comeback But I reversed the last move..And hit the Fame Asser out of nowhere for the pin!

AJ was at ringside clapping&cheering for me and I retained the title,The victory celebration cut-scene had Dolph holding the title and looking exhausted while D-Bry was rolling around the mat a bit on the mat.

Everything just perfect!

Damn! Have you got a link to where I can download that podcast? I'd love to hear these two talk about the business

I would also love to listen to that podcast! edit: Thanks Spideyville

Wait, this was unintentional? Well that just changes my reading of everything over the past 7 years.

:wow::wow: So it is true!!

Guess who's coming back??????????????????????

I have not read anything about her officially returning other than that she's in talks with the WWE about a return.

Steve Austin is a good host and Shawn opened up quite a bit. Awesome

Seriously nobody!? I thought someone would find it relevant seeing as how it could be detrimental to his title reign considering that he has naysayers that feel he's not a good talker.

I'm going to have to listen to this Stone Cold podcast. Oh hell yeah!
