So TNA is now on the chopping block on SpkeTv. Not shocking...why? The guy who was a fan of TNA on SpikeTv just left the company.

I'm calling it. TBS or MTV2 will air TNA(Impact Wrestling) next year. Other options not likely is WGN America, ION, and becuase they are poorly run, NBC. Course USANetwork and WWE will throw a fit, but NBC is that slow in the head to not know TNA is their rivals.

MTV2 is already airing Lucha Libre USA right now.

TBS isn't going near it...its the comedy channel now..

Yeah, they can't launch anything outside of Tyler Perry. And Conan is a huge money flop for them (sadly). TBS, unlike TNT, could use TNA--if the price is right. But I think MTV2 would be dumped with TNA. Viacom owns MTV2 and SpikeTv, and MTV2 is more fo a guy channel than SpikeTv is or will be.

TNA might be screwed if they get dropped from Spike.

correction

they WILL be screwed....and guess who is probably going to start poaching talent if that happens

Not WWE, they have too much talent. (That won't stop them though)

ROH could get some of the lesser guys like Roode etc.

I don't think TNA will be screwed. I think SpikeTv is pretty much screwed without UFC now. I'd be shocked if WWE doens't buy it out to become the WWE Cable channel. Then you can have TNA on it for ''giggles''.

but I could see the WWE cutting some people to make room for TNA talent

and Otunga and Slater and Tyler Reks....if I had to slice them all to get an AJ Styles or a Robert Roode...

it would be bad for competition. Where would the released talent go? ROH?

If WWE got the Muppets for Halloween, they can damn sho' get these guys in the near future

Maybe even scare Vickie off of RAW!

Jesus where is this Spike tv news even from? I checked the major sites and nobody is reporting it. When people post these rumors could they post an actual source?

edit

here it is

SpikeTV Fires TNA Impact Supporter

ProWrestling.net is reporting that SpikeTV Senior Vice President Brian Diamond has been let go by the network. Diamond was reportedly a strong TNA supporter.

Hardly sounds like the end of the world for TNA to me. If they ARE getting the highest ratings on the network they should be just fine since we've heard nothing of major Spike execs hating wrestling unlike TNT execs. Hell Spike has a history of airing pro wrestling going back to ECW and WWE.

They could poach talent NOW if they wanted to. TNA going under or not isn't going to change that. The only difference is some guys would have to take WWE's deal because there are fewer places to work and they would need to make a living somewhere if they want to stay in the business.

who cares....f*** 'em

survival of the fittest

In the long run that would f*** WWE too. WCW dying did a WORLD of wonders for WWE didn't it?

It's Hogan's return match on national TV in 5 years so of course, its going to be the main event and even if that wasn't the case, Hogan would make up some excuse to justify going on last just as he did in WWF and WCW. Just be thankful its not for the TNA title as originally planned.

Regarding the Spike TV executive and TNA supporter who was let go, I think TNA will be fine and not be dropped from the network.

The reason I say that is this: Hogan just re-signed with TNA for two years. Spike TV is the one who fronts most of the salary, if not all, for the big stars like Sting, Flair, and Hulk.

If Spike didn't want TNA around, I don't see why Hogan would have signed a two year exstension that Spike most likely covered.

To paraphrase Obi Wan "Batista is more tattoo than flesh man now"........and that hair with that shirt, even his main man Spoons cannot defend this. :woot:

Yea I kind of remembered the interview wrong. For some reason I remembered him being a lot more upset than he actually was.

I feel bad for AJ, his loyalty to TNA has gotten him nowhere.

Ah, 'Tista still trying to rock a twentysomething look on a 40+body. full back tat, spiked mohawk and slim fitting shirt to attract the younger females. These pics reek of so much insecurity it's not funny.

It only makes him look more like a dirty old man looking for young chicks to sex up.

- There has been a lot of backstage talk lately about Vince McMahon showing his age and people wondering about his health. Vince was recently suffering from the flu and wasn't hiding it, when usually if he's sick he'll hide it.

- For the October 3rd WWE RAW Supershow on Monday alone, there were between six and eight different scripts written because Vince kept changing his mind. They ended up going with the walkout angle and after it was approved, it was questioned by some of the producers because it made no sense to have everyone walk out and then do SmackDown the next day and made no sense for them to do live events after walking out.

Regarding the October 10th RAW, the only thing that aired that was in the original script was Vince's return and John Laurinaitis replacing Triple H. As noted before, the Jim Ross firing segment was not in the script at all. The previous week's walkout angle bit with JR was suggested by producer Arn Anderson the day of the show and Vince loved it. Anderson brought up the fact that Triple H gave Ross his job back, which is why Ross was the last to leave in the walkout.

- WWE officials were disappointed at how the crowd reacted towards some of the bigger stars participating in the walkout angle, and the fact that two of the people the crowd reacted to the most were Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler. It was considered a really bad sign when the announcers were perceived by the fans as bigger stars than the wrestlers.

- Internally, there was a lot of second guessing the agents' work in the Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara match at WWE's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view because they were exchanging high spots in what was billed as a grudge match.

- As noted before, it's believed that John Morrison will be leaving WWE soon. It's said that he has done nothing wrong or caused trouble for officials but there's speculation that like Drew McIntyre, Morrison is paying the price for who he was dating - former WWE Diva Melina.

- WWE currently has pay-per-view main events penciled in through the Royal Rumble, which is the opposite of how they have booked in recent years.

There has been talk of doing a Scramble match at the Survivor Series pay-per-view with Sheamus, Mark Henry, Christian, Randy Orton, Big Show and Kane. Henry vs. Show in a Tables Match at the TLC pay-per-view is also being discussed.

It's also said that creative has picked out a tentative winner for the Royal Rumble already, and that Superstar is from the SmackDown brand. The idea is that the winner will end up with the World Heavyweight Title before WrestleMania 28, likely at Elimination Chamber, because Daniel Bryan will be challenging with his Money in the Bank briefcase.
