The Wrestling Thread.....Has No Confidence - Part 34

that just reeks of disorganization, lack of focus, and general no one being on the same damn page

Ah, 'Tista still trying to rock a twentysomething look on a 40+body. full back tat, spiked mohawk and slim fitting shirt to attract the younger females. These pics reek of so much insecurity it's not funny.

It only makes him look more like a dirty old man looking for young chicks to sex up.

The funny part is Batista IS a grandpa :funny:

not that bad....but damn close....

its basically Al Davis syndrome (god rest him) Vince has held the reigns so tightly for so long that the place probably won't be able to function if something did happen to him

The walkout was planned out in a piss poor way. it COULD have been interesting but they dropped the ball. Why would these guys show up for Smackdown when bad stuff was STILL happening there too?

Johnny Ace is the logical choice for interim Raw GM (thats what he is, anything else makes no sense) but he's missing something every great heel authority figure needs: charisma.

Ace is as boring as f***n year old rice cake. And when he talks he doesn't make you angry he just puts you asleep. The guy is getting "annoying" heat not "we hate you" heat.

And even worse I've tried to give it a chance but I get the growing feeling that its becoming the Triple H show ("What will Triple H do next? find out on RAW!) because quite frankly the WWE title has really taken a backseat lately and Alberto just ain't ready to be champ. Guys are getting some of more time to shine during this and thats good but Raw needs to regain some focus. The second summer of Punk was just so f***in fun and they've lost a lot of that freshness.

Its like they're trying to recreate a lot of the heat of the Punk angle without Punk or his logic with stuff like the walkout, the Miz/Truth conspiracy theorizing and firing, etc.

I'd have been MUCH happier if all of Mondays Raw had been like that first few minutes: Triple H and the guys there scraping by with a skeleton crew.

The walkout was stupid to me. Of all the things that has happened over the years, that is what gets everyone walking out from the company? I know that WWE wants people to leave their memory at the door, but the talent walking out like that looked silly. I also have to agree with others about Johnny Ace. He isn't effective enough to be the top bad guy at all. I feel like that role should have gone to HHH. He's always played a great heel, and I feel that his character would naturally progress to being the guy that takes over after Vince is done. I know the fans really cheer him, but they could have had a nice slow burn to Triple H becoming the next heel boss.

Batista has officially completed his *****ebag look

Indeed.

Re: Royal Rumble 2012

Looks like that rumor about the winner
winning the World Heavyweight Title instead of a title shot (which makes sense as it'll be 20 years since Ric Flair was crowned WWF Champion)
might have a strong chance of coming true after all. If so, awesome!

Instead of Bryan Vs. Henry, I think it'll be
Bryan Vs. Sheamus
instead.

Following Monday's Raw in which John Morrison was defeated by Christian in approximately a minute and subsequently assaulted by Dolph Ziggler, Christian and Jack Swagger, a man wrote to Melina on Twitter accusing her of killing his WWE career.

He wrote, "Will you stand trial for killing your bf's career? #prayforJoMo."

The former WWE Diva responded via private message, "The WWE did it. I never did anything but stand by him through thick & thin. We should all be so lucky as to have someone like that in our lives.

"John worked his ass off and did EVERYTHING he was told. The blame shouldn't be put on me. Blame the WWE."

If that's what happens, then I expect Bryan to be the first guy to cash in and lose.

He's not Al Davis yet. If he is seen buying a black windbreaker, white pants, dark sunglasses and an overheard projector to do his speeches, then he will exactly be Al Davis. And like Davis, he will have a fat tub of lard on his roster that he spends a lot of money on and does nothing but eat.

I forgot to mention that Royal Rumble 2012 will be in St. Louis, but WWE has been on a roll of not letting people win in their hometowns as seen with Cena in Boston for the Rumble this year and Beth in Buffalo at NOC.

Punk won in his hometown

Have Daniel Bryan win the Rumble challenge for the world title then win it then cash in his MITB at the end of the WWE championship match and win that too. Second Undisputed champ ever.

He had to though for security reasons given how hostile Chicago fans can be.

Re: Austin vs. Lesnar

Ironically, half of the Lesnar Vs. Goldberg buildup was Lesnar Vs. Austin due to WWE being forced to keep Bill off TV so he wouldn't go over the days they had agree to have him work on his contract otherwise they would've been forced to pay him more money to work extra shows.

Part 1 (skip to 6:52 if you want)

Part 2

Part 3

Ah, what could've been. :(

Jim Ross was interviewed by Yahoo Sports Radio earlier today regarding a number of topics and when the angle where he was removed once again from announcing Monday Night Raw was brought up, Ross stated that he didn't know it was coming.

Ross commented: "No, no idea whatsoever. It came as a complete surprise. My wife, we're celebrating our eighteenth anniversary today, none of us knew. It took me completely by surprise. It was one of those embarrassing moments you endure and move on. It's like anything else in life - when you get faced with a challenge or an uncomfortable situation, you have to make some choices on how you handle it."

When asked if it was just a storyline, Ross responded, "If it is, no one has told me about the storyline. I just think WWE upper management has made the decision, again, to go with a different presentation at the announce position and I'm not in the plans. So, we move on."

To paraphrase Obi Wan "Batista is more tattoo than flesh man now"........and that hair with that shirt, even his main man Spoons cannot defend this. :woot:

I'm more disturbed by that super deep v-neck he's got on. Ugh, where's Skip Sheffield when you need him!?

I'm assuming the whole thing is a storyline but even then I'm truly sick and tired of JR being "fired" or "replaced". Just let the man do what he does best and better then anybody else. Sure he makes a mistake here and there but he makes mediocre moments feel special and special moments into legendary ones.

I've heard for awhile that once UFC leaves Spike, they plan to ditch the "network for guys" content entirely.

Funny Christian moments. I'd totally forgotten about the skit with Flair

I miss 03-05 Christian, that's when I really became a supporter of his.
I loved Christian from the time he cut his hair in 2003-2005 when he left WWE. Don't get me wrong I liked him a lot before 2003 but he just came into his own and did a great job of making himself different from everyone else.
