I'm not going to lie, if you asked me who was in my top 3 favorite wrestlers of all time, Hogan would be in there. I hate his political BS and his ego can drive me nuts, but I love the Hulk Hogan character, though in TNA he's been awful as a character. That being said, he does so many things to sabotage the people he works for and I'm not sure he even realizes it. He lives in a bubble. You are absolutely right in that Hogan believes he's the most relevant man in wrestling.
I was only ever a fan of Hogan when he was Hollywood Hogan, his heel work was great, and to his credit he was a huge success as face and heel, not many pull that off at the very top. As for his sabotaging of TNA, I'm not sure Hogan even knows he's doing it these days, it's become such second nature for him, and in truth he is a lot like Vince, he surrounds himself with yes men that feed his ego as they need him to leech off.
The only thing Hogan does deserve credit for and has above anyone else in the business is that he is a pop culture icon still. He is still all over the media and most people still think of Hulk Hogan when they think wrestling.
No doubt, Hogan is and always will be the most famous wrestler ever, without him there's no Vince and vice versa. All the guys earning millions now are eating off the table Hogan laid, no matter what Flair says.
Unfortunately, Hogan and TNA have not used this to their advantage. Instead, Hogan spent the better part of two years only promoting himself with no mention of TNA when he did media appearances and TNA just let him get away with it. And when Hogan finally does promote TNA after he just signed his new deal, he buries the main event and much of the other roster
It's just plain idiotic!
This is where Dixie must shoulder part of the blame, at the end of the day she is his boss and is not controlling her employee well enough.
As far as HHH, I think what he did is just as bad, if not worse, because his comments were heard on a mucher broader scale and in-front of WWE's viewing audience. Kayfabe or not, you cannot tell you audience that the other guys on the roster do not matter. Most of you audience knows the business is a work, but they still have to believe guys are credible within confines of the storylines.
I haven't been a fan of Triple H for quite a few years but I have to defend him on this one, the comment was in character and an angry piece of smack talk to a bunch of guys who stabbed him in the back, I didn't see it as more than that. I mean The Rock used to downgrade most of his opponents every week.
It's that very reason CM Punk was legitimately pissed at HHH's comments last year on RAW when he said there was no one else on the roster who could challenge him besides the Undertaker. It buried the entire locker room and made the other guys seem less important.
I agree with this one completely, that was a self serving burial promo because it was a calm and matter of fact ego stroking delivery.
HHH has done this twice now and as far as I'm concerned, HHH is another guys who thinks he is more relevant than he really is. I mean look at how everything was about CM Punk not too long ago and he was the MAIN focal point of the storylines and now few weeks later, HHH has made himself the centerpiece of RAW and the main focal point.
I'm concerned with this as well, but we keep hearing about how big things are planned for Punk, he's a smart guy and wont get worked by H. I'll wait until the end of the year and see where things stand then before bagging him on this one.
Chael Sonnen's amazing wrestling style interview with Ariel Helwani

Wow can that guy talk! I mean I don't even like MMA and watched the entire 19 minutes, somehow I doubt he'd fancy wrestling though judging from that interview.

AJ Styles responded to Hulk Hogan's statements about Styles, Bobby Roode and other talents during an appearance on Sirius Radio's "Busted Open" via his Twitter account, writing:
"Frustration setting in when your own guys bury the company that u have worked so hard for........ Brother!"

Well said, I wish AJ would give WWE a shot when his contract is up, now is the right time for a talented young guy like him to make the move.
Kevin "vanilla midget" Nash has put AJ Styles over in interviews, even going as far as comparing him to HBK, so that should speak volumes.
Really?
Yum!
