What Punk did was unprofessional, but he had to do something extreme like this in order to get WWE's attention and try to get them to change things for better. He's been with the company for more than 7 years now putting out quality matches and making the company a lot of money. I think he's earned the right to main event WrestleMania and whatever else he feels may be owed to him.

I won't condemn or condone what Punk did. Because honestly, I've been in that position where it felt like my hard work and time wasn't being awarded the way it was supposed to, and I felt burnout. And I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing he did if I had the ability to.

And I agree with everything else you said.

agreed 100 %, its like Austin and Jericho said Wrestlers today have zero leverage against wrestling companies.

Yeah. The only leverage you can have is your star power and whether you give or crap or not, like Punk.

Things can get very interesting if nothing happens between now and February 12th between CM Punk and WWE, as Punk is scheduled to appear on the Comedy Central show "Midnight".

Given the amount of publicity of Punk walking out on the company, it would be hard to believe he could do that show and have that topic not come up. WWE also has a Raw event in Chicago on March 3rd. If Punk is not at the event, don't be surprised if the crowd goes crazy. WWE is aware of this date and they are still holding out hope that they can convince Punk to return to the company. It's up to Vince McMahon at this point.

In a sign that the company isn't admitting anything yet, Punk is ranked number 9 on their February 1st Power Rankings.

We need a shoot with or team of Christian, Punk, Bryan, Ziggler, and Ryder.

From what I read Miz has replaced Punk on that upcoming show.

That wrestler who sent that dumb ass letter to Meltzer probably didn't hear the crowd in Pittsburgh (who he thanked) **** all over Big Dave and then **** on Rey when they realized he was number 30 and Daniel Bryan wasn't coming out. Bryan became the most over babyface in the match and he wasn't even in it. That wasn't just the Internet. Maybe he should clean the wax out of his ears and or get a damn clue.

Actually, I think it was that Miz was supposed to appear with Punk, but Miz was pulled from it.

So one can still be in SAG even if they haven't done a movie in years?

I'm not sure how it exactly works, but I'm under the impression that after you pay the initiation fee and the membership dues, you're a lifetime member with all the benefits unless you do something bad that gets you kicked out of the union.

I think most of us in the working class know what it's like to not be appreciated. Now imagine if you were working with injuries and didn't need to be there. The only real criticism is walking out on fans , but he could of been injured or forced into retirement anyway. There's no guarantees in wrestling. So it bothers me that people call Punk a whiner. On paper he did the wrong thing , but sometimes you have to step outside the box to prove a point.

1. Austin Aries beat Zema Ion to retain the X Division Title. Half the bars in the arena were shut due to a mix up over the taping intervals. JJ says he's not sure if that's all he missed and that Aries is the guy he wanted to see. "The things we do for beer!" he wrote.

Curry Man stood in the ring. Bully Ray came out pushing the coffin again. He told Curry he's in the wrong place at the wrong time. Curry got the crowd going, charged at Bully, and met a big boot! Bully piledrove him after screaming out Mr. Anderson's name, then dragged him out of the ring and put him in the coffin...

Loud yes chants as we set up for Monsters Ball. Christy tells us the fight has already started backstage.

2. Abyss beat Eric Young in a Monster's Ball match. A surprisingly enjoyable Monsters Ball. Abyss brought Janice into the ring, was about to nail EY before he unmasked him to reveal erm, Joseph Park. Park then hit the Black Hole Slam. Park looked in the mirror post match and appeared distraught. There were a couple of cool spots here with a chair in the corner then a table on the outside, and Abyss/Park's arms were bloody pin cushions...

MVP came out. I guess there's no copyright on that name, as JB is using it. Editor's Note: MVP created the gimmick and owns the name. MVP ran through his catchphrases and said he's back on Impact. He said he's been away living life on his terms. He said that got him into trouble previously, but he learned actions have consequences. He said people are tired of seeing self-absorbed, egotistical owners. He said he loves wrestling and is a wrestler and can't stand aside watching it get run down. He says he's investing his money in TNA to make a change. Hypes up the TNA talent and fan base, says mismanagement has held it back.

MVP was interrupted by Rockstar Spud. MVP called him Dixie's lapdog. He said he's going to be a fair owner. Spud says it'd be fair if he introduced himself to Dixie. Spud invites MVP backstage to her "throne". MVP reminded Spud that he hasn't forgotten how to use his fists. He said he was booking Magnus vs. Kurt Angle in a non-title match...

Christy Hemme even changed her outfit between tapings. They think of everything, don't they?!

3. Kurt Angle beat Magnus by DQ in a non-title match. Magnus was DQ'd after EC3 prevented him tapping out to the ankle lock. Angle and EC3 brawled on the outside before EC3 hits him on the knee a couple of times with a chair. EC3 continued to work it over in the ring. The referee threw up the X sign and a stretcher was brought out for Kurt...

Bobby Roode vs Samoa Joe was announced by Christy as being a number one contenders match. There was nothing in-ring leading to this, so it was probably something taped backstage...

4. Samoa Joe beat Bobby Roode to become No. 1 contender (again). Joe made Roode tap out. Clean again! A decent little match. It looks like Joe's being pushed hard based on the evidence of tonight. The arena is rapidly emptying as we're about 20 minutes away from the last train back into the city...

Dixie Carter came out with Rockstar Spud. There were major boos for her. She said tonight isn't just about her, but another special person. She introduced MVP. Spud gave MVP the thumbs up and went to open the ropes for him. Dixie welcomed him to TNA. She said they have a lot to talk about and commended him on the great idea he had for them to come out and share their vision for the future.

Dixie hypes Magnus and all his accomplishments. It was hard to hear Dixie because of the jeering. She said if people follow her lead then everyone will be successful. She said in 11 years she has dealt with good investors and bad investors. MVP said he wants to talk about changes. He said that Dixie's mismanagement has almost brought TNA to its knees. He said he isn't here to be a butler and Dixie's reign of terror is over. He said he will be a very hands on investor and the party is over. MVP and Dixie had a staredown in what was likely the closing moment for television.

In what may have been the post show, MVP hit a couple of his moves on Spud. It was hard to tell whether that will make it on TV...

TNA Xplosion

1. X Division Champion Austin Aries defeated Kazarian.

TNA Impact Wrestling TV

The opening segment featured Dixie, Magnus, Rockstar Spud, and EC3 came out. Dixie cut a promo how she isn't scared of MVP. Magnus was next saying how he hated the north and Manchester. MVP and Samoa Joe interrupted and hyped the title match at Lockdown.

Gunner interrupted and said Manchester was tired of a paper champion and was cashing in his briefcase in seven days. Dixie said he forgot one thing and made a match for his case against EC3. MVP made it for both briefcases and a ladder match (Gunner has the TNA Title contract, EC3 has the tag title contract).

1. Gunner fought Ethan Carter III to a no-contest in a ladder match for the Feast or Fired briefcases. Magnus interfered. James Storm came out and evened it up. The faces cleared the heels. MVP came out and made it a tag match.

2. Gunner and James Storm defeated Magnus and EC3 in a ladder match for both Feast or Fired Briefcases. Magnus and EC3 nearly had the win but started bickering over who would climb the ladder. Storm clocked them both and then cleared the ring and retrieved the two cases.

3. Samoa Joe and The American Wolves beat Robbie E, Jessie, and Zema Ion in a six-man tag. The Wolves looked quick and exciting. Joe was SUPER over and got the win with the rear naked choke.

Next was an in-ring segment with Abyss, now without his mask. He called out Eric Young, who came out to big reaction. Abyss said he needed help and Young offered to help him. Abyss said he doesn't need his help, he needs someone who understands him and left.

4. MVP beat Rockstar Spud. A really short squash match. MVP won with his shining wizard boot to the face finisher. MVP looked like he was carrying a little bit of extra weight around the middle.

5. Velvet Sky vs. Chris Sabin. Yes, it was a match. Velvet kicked him in the nuts after a lot of goading. He removed a cup and called her stupid she hit him with a low blow again and Velvet started beating on him. Some unknown big woman destroyed Velvet then locked her in a full Nelson, causing Velvet to go limp. Sabin celebrated and was carried out on his new ladies shoulders.

6. Mr. Anderson beat Bully Ray in a casket match. Bully was wearing a Liverpool football shirt to huge boos. Anderson dragged it off him and choked him with it. Anderson brought out a table. Bully hit a powerbomb through it and went to out Anderson in the casket, Anderson escaped and hit Mic check into the casket for the win.

7. Gail Kim (w/Lei'D Tapa) beat Madison Rayne in a non-title street fight. Short match. Every time Madison got the upper hand, Tapa stepped in, eventually giving the distraction so Gail Kim could hit Madison with the title belt and get the three count. This concluded the taping of the first show (though some of this may have been filmed out of sequence).

Jan 31, 2014 - 04:33 PM

The next show started within the ring. Magnus and Dixie Carter came out and Magnus called out MVP, who came out and repeated his offer to make the Lethal Lockdown match to be for the presidency of TNA.

Magnus apologized but he wouldn't be able to lead Team Dixie as he would be retaining the world title. MVP said he was behind disrespectful for ignoring a war hero like Gunner. Magnus said tonight he would beat Gunner and if MVP stuck his nose in, Magnus would make him his *****.

MVP punched him and they started brawling. EC3 came out and they started double teaming him. Gunner evened the odds and Magnus, and EC3 and Magnus retreated but ran into The Wolves. Magnus shoved EC3 to the Wolves and escaped. Wolves took out EC3. The Wolves, Gunner, and MVP celebrated in the ring...

Bobby Roode apologized to James Storm for the all the badness between them and teased that he may quit. Storm told him to man up...

In the ring, Samoa Joe invited out and my residents of Dixieland for a fight. Bro-Mans and Zema Ion took the challenge.

1. Samoa Joe beat Bro-Mans and Zema Ion. Joe got a lit of early offense before the triple team wore him down. Eventually, he eliminated the Bro-Mans and hit zema with the muscle buster before making him submit with the rear naked choke hold.

Bobby came out and talked about his career to huge face reaction. He said tonight would be his last night as a wrestler. Big "No" chants. He thanked the fans and went to leave and Dixie's music hit. She said he doesn't get to make that choice, she let A.J. Styles, Sting, and Jeff Hardy leave as she doesn't like them. There was a big A.J. chant. She said she needs him and wants him to lead her team at Lockdown. Bobby said no. She said if he did lead the team she would give him ten percent of TNA, so he accepted...

2. The American Wolves defeated Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. A decent tag match but crowd starting to lag. The Wolves got a nice reaction and Davey Richards got the pin...

3. Magnus defeated Gunner to retain the TNA Title. Excellent match. Early on Magnus called for help from the back but instead Storm and the Wolves cane and blocked the entrance ramp. The match continued back and forth. Eventually. Bro-mans and EC3 came through the crowd to help Magnus and the six non-combatants fought up the ramp. The match continued and Gunner kicked out of Magnus's big elbow.

Gunner hit his sling shot suplex, but as he went for the pin Rockstar Spud ran out and put Magnus's foot on the rope. Storm came out and chased Spud around the ring a couple of times and then into the ring where he threw Spud out. Gunner hit some offense while storm cheered him on in the ring. Gunner went for his diving headbutt, but on the way down got caught with Storm's Last Call superkick. Magnus got the pin to retain the title. This concluded the Impact taping, but there is one match remaining for Xplosion...

TNA Xplosion

1. EC3 defeated Eric Young. Nice quick match with ec3 hitting his finish to the match.
After the match as people started leaving, EC3 went on the mic and told everyone to stay where they were as he had something to say. He said we were all lucky to see him perform four times but he knows we all wanted to see someone else, Kurt Angle, but he took out Kurt and now he is an American icon.

Kurt's music hit for a really big pop from the fans who stayed. He said EC3 was an American ******* and even though he was injured he was sure EC3 was getting an Angle Slam. EY rolled in from behind and hit the Angle Slam and an ankle lock to send the crowd home happy.

A really enjoyable show.

Bobby Roode came to the ring with the Bro Mans and Zema Ion, and was interrupted by Austin Aries, who said he wanted half of Roode's 10 percent if he beats MVP's team at Lockdown. MVP came to the ring with The Wolves, and said he'd chosen a team member for Lockdown. Dixie Carter came out also. MVP said Jeff Hardy will join his team at Lockdown. Magnus and Samoa Joe had a verbal exchange, which ended in brawling a Joe choking out Magnus. Bully Ray then attacked Joe and put up a table in the ring, but Joe choke slammed Ray through it...

From the sound of it, it seems like they're really starting to establish Joe as dominant once again...

Don't jinx it Nolan.

In other news, the full National Pro Wrestling Day event is available on YouTube, with some news the Indy fans will enjoy .

I was about to say that. It's TNA so they'll find a way to **** it up. :hehe:

Wow Just Watched Ziggler Promo from SD on WWE.com/ That was crazy and I keep on wondering why this guy doesn't get the push he deserves. I know its the WWE and all they seem to care about Cena Batista Orton HHH Etc. WWE really needs to get over themsleves and start developing talent before it's too late.

From the sound of it, it seems like they're really starting to establish Joe as dominant once again...

Yes, it looks like they are strapping the rocket to his back. Maybe they want to make nice with the IWC (and the other longtime roster members) after the AJ contract controversy.

Eh, they're dead to me and the majority of the IWC at this point so I don't even care.

:p

Now, that I think about it. The anonymous top superstar might be Cena. The Brooklyn Brawler name drop is making me second guess. Interesting.

Hey Nolan since you'll be at Mania, if he hasn't shown up yet, get a We Want Sting chant going

Yes, I just asked WWE creative and they told me how to go about simply making sure nothing that happened a week earlier matters. :D
Ah, I see. :D Though I can't believe you passed up an opportunity like that to tell WWE creative what you really think of them.. :o :oldrazz:

I agree, personally it's not something I would do, I just think some fans figure it's a way to get management to notice as it disrupts their plans, the workers are the unfortunate collateral damage.
I agree. I understand why, but it just iritates me sometimes.

Eh, they're dead to me and the majority of the IWC at this point so I don't even care.

:p

I understand...too little, too late. But, I guess if they're going to attempt a rebound, they've gotta start somewhere!

Last ditch "save" Mania card.
